Heavily wooded acreage with goats, horses and donkeys. There is no light pollution and if there are no clouds you can see the stars very clearly. We have a ton of wild birds. Owls and Cara Cara are common. There are deer, feral hog and two resident packs of coyote. We also have ring tail cats, which are nocturnal and rare.
The best seasons are October 1st thru the end of April. It gets VERY hot and dry in the summer and can just be miserable.
We have a shared bathroom and an outdoor shower and tub. If you are a single woman or a family with children, we don't take other bookings while you are visiting the farm. You will have the place to yourselves. The only exception being my family and I, if we are working or staying over at the farm.
We should have a second bunkhouse up and running by fall of 2025.
If you are tent camping, you may camp anywhere on the property but there are certain spaces that may make curious horses your roomies.

Our slice of land on the Medina River is truly gorgeous! There are beautiful cypress trees that are magical year round, and there are often small rapids. If relaxing in the shade by the river and dipping your feet in is your thing, our property is perfect for that! However, this is not a swimming hole. The Medina River is generally not considered safe in Bandera, TX, due to consistent low flow. Swim at your own risk.

Ultimate dog family getaway! Completely fenced in yard, no holes. My boys (dogs) loved the sound of nature out there and enjoyed the freedom of just roaming around. Absolutely Amazing! My husband and I stayed at Boulderdash RV and Camp for three nights at the end of May. We stayed in the Stella RV . Stella was so comfortable. The linens were soft and clean, Stella has everything you need from cooking a hot meal to taking a hot shower. The AC was on point and well needed after hot days by the beautiful clean and clear Medina river. Our hosts were very hospitable and kind. It was hard to leaving back to the real world. Such a beautiful and well maintained property. We can't wait to go back, hopefully for a much longer stay next time. Thank you again to our hosts Carol Anne and Lynn!

We loved our time at 3 dry Wells Ranch! We stayed in the sunset Hill Bell tent and it was perfect. We fit 3 people and 2 dogs comfortably. The view was amazing, and truly saw the most beautiful sunset. We felt secluded and it was super quiet! Just great place to unwind. Hosts were amazing, William brought us a second generous stack of wood we purchased for the pit. Well worth the money. Thank you!

Weekend Trip to Sound Ground
My gal friend and I had a great time at Sound Garden. We had the campground all to ourselves which made for lots of music playing and exploring the little trails throughout the grounds. 🎶🌱
Agarita was very comfortable, especially since it was a step up from the usual tent/air mattress situation. Very clean and cozy.
Loved our visits from the ground animals, Rita and Cinnamon!
Could have easily wandered over to Blanco State Park for some water relief, but we had enough activities and the weather was beautiful, so we stayed put.
Kasey was a great host and the campground (including the outhouse) was super well kept.

1 night at Robins Nest Treehouse
The Robins Nest is a really special place, a true hidden gem. My wife and I just stayed here for Memorial Day weekend and it was so peaceful. We spent two nights here and enjoyed soaking in the cowboy tub with the camp firing going and making smores. There’s nobody for miles and you get true privacy in the most beautiful treehouse. Shellie is so accommodating and really made our stay! A host like this is rare, you can tell she pours love into this treehouse with each little detail. My wife and I will definitely be back with our pup, I think he enjoyed it even more than we did, which is very hard to do ;)

Weekend Trip to Sparrow Bend River Retreat
My boyfriend and I had such a wonderful weekend getaway for my birthday at the river retreat! The scamp was just right and was so enjoyable sleeping a rainy night in and was cooled down after being in the sun all day. I’m a chronic overpacker, but I didn’t need to as Angela had everything we needed available. Nice privacy, good views, and overall great time.

It was not what we were expecting at first.. however by the time we settled in it was so quiet and peaceful when were able to enjoy the campsite.. I loved the fact it was camping with the small town close enough to get supplies if needed.. we weren't bothered at anytime by the host .. when we would have a issue arise .. I would just message Ace and everything was taken care of .. without us being aware the problem was resolved .. when I tell you he makes sure it's private... It is! I would like to take my family and friends back because it's definitely a group place! It was definitely a longer count for us we did a 10-day 11 night camp! Very highly recommend this campsite.. we had a hard month starting on March 1st and just continuing into April! This helped all my family reset and I'm thankful for this! Best trip so far!

Weekend Trip to Twisted Oaks...
It was great, cozy and very accommodating. The area is filled with buttercups, green grass and lots of character. John is an awesome host, friendly and always around if you need him. It's a beautiful , rustic and very peaceful place to camp. The Airstream was great and I highly recommend a stay

Weekend Trip to 3 Dry Wells Ranch
Lovely space, nice and quiet. Generous count and quality of firewood for purchase. Heard a couple of Chuck-will's-widows calling and what we think was a bobcat! 10/10.

Had a great time camping at the bell tent! Loved how close it was to the state park and it felt very private. Great views and a very peaceful get away. Already looking forward to our next visit.

Great spot! It rained most of the night but not a wet spot inside the tent :)
I have an SUV but if you have a small car it’ll be a hard drive to the spot we were at.

This was our second stay at the Airstream, and it's even better than it was last time! The kitchen and bathroom upgrades/remodel are so nice. This place is so peaceful, well thought out, and fully stocked. You can tell that a lot of love has been put into it. Seriously, just bring food and you're good!

My partner and I absolutely loved staying in the scamp. It was so private and beautiful. The scamp was so cozy and we loved the outdoor deck. The directions were so clear and everything was put together so nicely. We will definitely be back!!

We had such a great time staying at this treehouse in Lockhart! My wife and I stayed here with our two dogs, and it was the perfect cozy getaway for all of us. It had a really fun camping feel while still being comfortable, and the way it was creatively built around the tree made it feel unique and special. We especially loved the arts and crafts touches—it added so much charm. The bed was warm and super comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day outdoors. On top of that, the host was very responsive and genuinely kind, which made the whole stay even better. We’d definitely recommend this spot and would love to come back!
