It was named many years ago and as soon as you arrive you will see why the name was chosen. It has been in our family for almost 100 years. You can still see remnants of the gristmill that use to operate there. Many great memories have been made at the Falls and we now want to share our slice of paradise with you. The rolling creek, a feeder searching for it's mama - the Delaware River - runs down the mountainside and over the rocks to give power and life to the falls. The steady flow makes you think you are far from civilization. But not really - only a short hike and you travel from the falls to a dirt road to a paved highway in a matter of a few minutes. Over thousands of years and a few hundred year floods nature has made this wonderful cave-like formation under and behind the waterfall. The flat rock is a great place to picnic and enjoy the tranquility of the water. The trees surrounding the area make a fitting canopy for this unique campsite. The mountain behind is great for climbing and a short walk down the creek will get you to the base of Jensons Ledges. The ledges are a steep hike up a mountain to a spectacular vista. We had a group not understand this so I want to make sure it is clear. Firewood is for sale here for CASH! Please bring CASH with you. Sixty acres of magical trees, a one acre pond, and a three acre field. From the road there is a two hundred foot elevation gain to the top of the hill. Along the way are several hundred feet of rock ledges, caves, and critters. Most of the land is sloping, but the hilltop is flat as a table, with prehistoric-looking ferns under a dense canopy of mature trees. The campsites are ultra secluded- about a quarter mile apart from each other. All sites include a fire pit, cooking grate, picnic table, and sites 2&3 have platforms. Camp ONE: is on the top of the hill, and a small car can be driven to within 150 feet of it. It is pretty flat, and surrounded by blackberry bushes, ferns, and trees. Camp TWO: is on a bluff overlooking a picturesque swamp, filled with hemlock trees and ferns. This site can not be driven to with anything less than a high clearance SUV (ie- jeep wrangler), so I consider it a hike in site. It is under a ten minute walk from the pond and parking lot, but the view and feel is worth it. (It has been brought to our attention that there is occasionally a group riding atvs on a neighboring property that are audible from this site. We have no control over what time it happens, so please keep this in mind) Camp THREE: is accessible with a four wheel drive vehicle, something at least as high as an SUV. It is the closest to the house and pond, but still far enough to feel secluded and completely private. If you choose to walk there, it’s only a couple minutes from the parking area. Throughout the property, there are many quiet places to hang out, flat spots to do yoga, trails to explore, and fishing and swimming in the beautiful pond. We are also just ten minutes from the Upper Delaware River, and all it has to offer. New for May 2026 ice cream shop! Walk from your campsite! You may see some wildlife throughout the property (including a milk snake that lives in the cabin wall, but is harmless). It is a quiet, rural, farming area. Once at the cabin there are only two to three houses within a half mile (through the woods), so you will have a private space all your own. Winter camping is special - cozy wood heated cabin, hundreds of acres for snow shoeing, cross country skiing, or snowmobiling. Plan ahead, we do not plow the driveway in winter; plan to shovel an off-road parking space, and transport your gear up to the cabin (1100'). Wood is provided. Onsite: water pump, 2-seat outhouse, wood stove, campfire ring, wood, & propane grill. Exclusive access for nature hikes, streams, forest, pond, swimming, bird watching, star gazing, etc. A wheelchair that can navigate grass and some ruts can enter the cabin, but not the outhouse, and the sleeping loft is up stairs (there is room for a cot or mattress on the first floor); the porch is accessible through the cabin. When you book, you are confirming your understanding of the following: there is no electricity, running water, or std. bed/mattresses. You bring own air mattress, bedding, and gear you will need. All-wheel drive vehicle is recommended. We welcome special events, family reunions, or weddings, if your plans do not require utilities (you may bring a generator or other battery operated items, as needed). Note for winter guests: We do not plow the driveway in winter, you need to be ready to shovel an off-road parking spot, and transport gear to cabin (e.g. by sled, snowshoes) Here's a brief list of the basics to bring: Light source: Lantern propane or battery. Air mattress or cot and whatever bedding you need. Paper products (cups, plates, utensils, toilet paper, etc.) Matches/fire starter (there is wood on-site, and a propane grill for cooking that has a self-starter). Bug spray. Cooler and ice. Lawn chairs. There are a few tables, several chairs and benches. There are 2 picnic tables (one outside and one inside). The benches can be moved outside if you'd like, just move them back inside before you leave. The propane grill should only be used outside. There is a hand axe in the cabin to shave kindling, and the wood is already split to be the length for the wood stove, as needed. Gas: 5 miles away. If you plan to grocery shop when you get to the area, the closest store is at East Hill Plaza in Ithaca, about 9 miles past where the cabin is (I can give you all that info if you like). There is lots to explore/see/do in the Ithaca area if you decide to come down off the hill one of the days. I'll have some brochures and things in the cabin, and can answer questions (aka where is the best ice cream, dinner, etc.).

Enjoy private fancy camping in this light-filled, fully furnished cabin on a platform overlooking a pond, pastures, and the valley beyond. Situated on a working farm just 15 min. southeast of Ithaca, NY, this is perfect for a family or romantic get-away. Unplug, relax, and visit the local trails, wineries, and waterfalls, or just hang out and enjoy the view! We only have the one cabin, so you will have the entire space to yourselves, including the hot water showers, flush toilets, and outdoor kitchen at the nearby bath house. Luxury camping has a greater level of comfort and convenience, but it is still camping. This means the camp area can be affected by extreme weather, insects, heat, and noises in the area (dogs barking, neighbors mowing lawns, etc.) We work hard to ensure the most pleasant stay possible. There are mosquito screens on all windows (and under the cabin decking!), but insects can still find ways to creep in. Rainstorms can be quite loud on the metal roof of the cabin. The bath house is a short walk away down a gravel path, which may feel longer in inclement weather. Keep this in mind when booking as we don't refund for insect issues or undesirable weather conditions during your stay. We provide all linens and towels. You will have private access to a rustic outdoor kitchen in the bath house, a 10-second walk from the tent cabin. The kitchen is stocked with a small fridge, 2-burner stove, dishes and flatware, cutting board and knives, olive oil and salt. We also supply a charcoal grill, charcoal, and a lighter. We provide fresh-ground organic coffee and sugar, a French press, and a drip coffee pot. We also provide a fire ring, kindling, and firewood you can use to have a campfire during your stay. A wide variety of staples (including beverages (24 beers on tap!), sandwiches, and breakfast options) is available at Brookton's Market 2 miles down the road. Other things to note There is no Wifi at the cabin or bath house, and cell service is very spotty and somewhat dependent on your carrier. While there is electric service at the kitchen/bath house for charging phones and other devices, the cabin has no electricity. We provide some basic ambient lights and portable solar lanterns, but you may want to bring headlamps. The parking area is about 50-60 yards from the tent. There is a gravel path to walk on.

We have three camp sites on a 200-acre parcel of secluded, rural farm land. We are a working pasture based farm where you can see how grass fed beef, pork, chicken, and eggs are produced. There's nothing quite like fresh eggs and bacon after waking up to the sunrise over a fog-filled valley! When you arrive we will provide a complimentary carton of pastured raised eggs and you are welcome to visit our web site (redhouseranch . net) or store to order meats for your stay and/or to take with you upon your departure. We have a wide variety of grass fed beef, pasture raised pork, snack sticks for long hikes, and dog bones and smoked treats for your furry friends. Many of our items are well suited for campfire cooking. Keep in mind that all our products are frozen so be sure to plan for time to thaw. If you're not sure what that involves - we're here to help. We are a working farm but, much of our property is not grazed or farmed. You are welcome to explore the entire area while also getting a glimpse of sustainable, pasture-based, farming methods. Red House Ranch is also the perfect spot for wildlife enthusiasts and bird watchers. During your stay you may encounter eagles, blue herons, coyotes, turtles, wild turkeys, foxes, the endangered bobolink bird (its unique call sounds a bit like R2D2), deer, great horned owls, and many unique plants. It's not uncommon to hear the coyotes howling at night. In addition to hiking trails with incredible views, there are four ponds on the property easily accessible with mown paths. One is very large with a dock and suitable for swimming, paddling, fishing, or just relaxing but the water. The other three are smaller and are now primarily wildlife habitat. easily accessible with mown paths If you're feeling adventurous, there is a more strenuous hike down into the creek bed where you can find miniature versions of the gorges and waterfalls that our region is known for. We are happy to provide maps and guidance or leave you to your own devices. When skies are clear our area has very little light pollution and excellent star visibility. The Beaver Lodge is a single-site glamping retreat tucked in the woods just outside Honesdale, PA. The site features two ponds and roughly five acres of quiet forest to yourself. Our site sits beside Spinner Pond. You'll arrive by a short wooded walk (about 3 minutes), or catch a ride in on the UTV — we're happy to shuttle guests and gear. At the waterfront, there's a fire circle, two Adirondack chairs, and a canoe with paddles. Fishing and wildlife watching from the pond edge are genuinely excellent: bald eagles, beavers, deer, ducks, and the occasional black bear on the far end of the property are regular visitors. Adam and Karen's land is gorgeous. My partner and I had an amazing time with our dog staying at site #1. The waterfall directly next to the site was only a trickle when we stayed due to the weather, but Adam sent us a list of nearby waterfalls to look at that more than made up for it. It's definitely a steep climb uphill (nearly vertical in some places) but Adam was very helpful and hauled our things both up and down to our car in his atv. The tent was, thankfully, not filled with bugs living inside, which has been my experience in similar longstanding tents. The free firewood had enough for me to make 4 fires which was just enough for our stay. Everything was super well maintained. It was the perfect amount of privacy and support, quiet and help when you needed it. We'll definitely be returning!

Our family’s stay at Beaver Pond was nothing short of magical! Brendan and his family (and their dog) were incredible hosts, and truly thought of everything. Brendan was super communicative and answered all of my questions, including where to get live bait for fishing (shoutout to Sunrise Market)! The tent was clean, the bed was comfortable, and we had everything we needed for cooking over the fire. My 7 year old caught two fish, my 3 year old played with worms and slugs, and my husband finally got the chance to use his flint and steel!! Our dog had the absolute time of his life, exploring the woods, swimming and even chasing away a few deer. This was our first Hipcamp experience, and it truly couldn’t have gone any better. The site struck the perfect mix of roughing it but not needing to do everything from scratch. We will definitely be coming back!

3 nights at Paradise Falls

This was our second time at Paradise Falls and we can't wait to go back. I have to remember for next time that the site is so clean and well equipped that you truly don't need to take much gear with you at all. As someone who has a hard time sleeping, between the pitch black darkness and the soothing sound of the waterfalls, I slept soundly and peacefully every night we spent there. Weekend Trip to The Hillside Retreat

100/10 would recommend. The hillside retreat was private, fully stocked with everything one needs to have a relaxing worry free and comfortable stay. They even left dog treats for our pup! Additionally, we had the privilege of camping during a tornado warning. Lydia and Robert allowed us to wait it out in a secure location, as we were rather frightened. We arrived back to the site to see everything was fully in tact even among intense winds that toppled trees in neighboring properties. A testament to the stability and security of their tent, platform, and other amenities. The space is also fully manicured, not a single branch on the ground even after the winds! Wonderful weekend, filled with excitement, kindness, and generosity all around.

Dreamy and dynamic property/ campground with trails, beautiful creek, and privacy- even a clean outhouse and hot shower if needed! Our hosts were super welcoming and very accommodating. We had some pretty intense weather and they made sure to alert us and make certain we were safe. Would love to camp here again. Weekend Trip to Canvas Private Glamping Yurt

My sister and I glamped this weekend at site 2! It was an absolutely amazing time🙌❤️🔥. It was a great retreat into nature and I could see it as a place for a writer or an artist to just have the space to let their creativity flourish. I think many naturalists have dreamed of going to a space where all they see is nature but also needed that cozy bed and a flushing toilet. 😅 We visited the waterfall at Salt Springs State Park and the Woodbourne Forest Wildlife Preserve, which is a must see especially with the water lillie’s in bloom 😍. Lots of bird sightings this weekend including some I’ve never seen or heard. I had @merlin.bird.id going almost the entire trip. I would verify the sound and made quite a few birds upset because they were looking for where the bird calls were coming from and not seeing a bird! I also put up the moth sheet one night and got a bunch of photos. I don’t bring any ID books and INat was being slow so I’m no sure of everything I saw but I did know the Rosey Maple Moth and it’s fuzzy self. Overall 10/10 would recommend! We also bought our meat from the farm stand there and it was absolutly delicious especially cooked in a cast iron pan over the campfire. ❤️

This is my second time staying at this cabin. It is so peaceful and relaxing. You're set out in the middle of the woods. There's solar hot water heater (which can get very hot fast) for an open top outdoor shower (very invigorating) and sink for washing dishes etc. Beyond clean and smelling fresh Porta John! They have a nice stack of wood at the cabin to purchase for your bonfire and a woodstove inside the cabin for cooler days/nights. Solar lights outdoor automatic lights and indoor lights along with a battery pack if you need to plug anything in or to charge something.. Just a beautiful, peaceful place to enjoy the outdoors. Will definitely go back!

My daughter and I had a fantastic time! The tent was clean and we had everything we needed for our two day adventure! Maryann was a wonderful host during a thunderstorm. She drove up to let us know that we were welcome to wait out the storm in the blacksmith barn and she even brought us towels. They told us to help ourselves to any games we wanted to play.. The view was phenomenal.. The night was full of beautiful stars.. We cannot wait to come back again..

We absolutely loved our stay here :) Marie was very kind and welcoming. The area was very cute and it was secluded from any other campers, and the bathroom/shower space was nearby. We were given plenty of wood / fire starting equipment, equipment for the grill, and the tent also had a fire extinguisher and bear horn which was really nice. The creek was also very cute and we had fun exploring it. Overall loved our trip and would definitely come back here :))
