Towner's Country Paradise started out as a wild forest and pasture for cows in the 1940's, owned by Llewellyn Towner. In the 1960s, Llewellyn's love for aviation led him to construct a small airstrip and hangar, and then his son Terry began to plant Christmas Trees (no more cows) and clear much of the land. By the early 1970's our main and largest pond was built and since that time our fully functional cabin, several more fish ponds, roads, trails, running water and generated electricity have been added. Welcome to our little slice of heaven along Pine Creek at the southern end of the "PA Grand Canyon". It's an outdoor lover's dream. Cabin currently for rent. The camp lies inside of Tiadaghton State Forest on the west side of Pine Creek in the Pennsylvania Wilds. The property is 5 acres, embedded deep in public land. On the property there is a cabin and one very large campsite (not currently in use). The area is beautiful for paddling, floating, fishing, hiking, biking, rock skipping, dipping your toes, swimming hole gems, searching for waterfalls, writing retreats. There are hundreds of miles of hiking, mountain bike and ATV trails, and some of the best fishing and stargazing on the East Coast. There is a 62 mile -rails-to-trails that runs along the other side of Pine Creek from Wellsboro to Jersey Shore, PA. Our camp is located on a secluded hill - a relaxing oasis removed from the rest of the world - read a book in a hammock, build campfires, grill yummy food, let the kids run around like crazy, play a lot of cards. It a 2 minute walk from the property to public access to Pine Creek. It is a 45 minute drive to paddle the Western Branch of the Susquehanna near Lock Haven, PA. Note: Cabin is currently available. This is a beautiful piece of property located in the heart of the Finger Lakes and Wine Country of NY. It features a stunning spring fed waterfall and nice forest land. Very close to town but also very secluded and private. Great place to unwind and relax from our everyday lives. It is situated however in a gully next to a creek and waterfall so it is susceptible to heavy rains. It is recommended to at least have an AWD vehicle if rainy. I can usually help campers with getting to the site in my side X side if you need to park up at the pasture. Please order enough wood initially as I have found I spend a lot of time delivering extra wood to campers. It seems as if you will typically go through 2 bundles per night on average. Also I supply a contractor size garbage bag to you if you choose garbage removal. It is also a good idea to text me when you have a solid ETA so I can be here to take you to the site. I want to mention that the two sites closest to the waterfall are a slight hike in and can only accommodate up to 4 person tents so if a bigger group or vehicle camping you will be placed at another site. The other three are smaller and are now primarily wildlife habitat. easily accessible with mown paths If you're feeling adventurous, there is a more strenuous hike down into the creek bed where you can find miniature versions of the gorges and waterfalls that our region is known for. Had a wonderful night at Robby’s place! Got to cook our dinner over the campfire while enjoying the fall colors. It was so quiet and private! Had a good night’s sleep in the cozy cabin. The heater Robby provided really helped for the chilly night! Would definitely come again.

I was a little nervous because this was my first time “camping” on my own, but this was by far my best “camping” experience. Allison and Randy were amazing host and answered every question I had! I also loved riding around the farm with Allison and meeting all the cutie little farm animals! I even got lucky and mama cow had her baby while I was camping!! There is nothing bad I could say about this stay or these people! Highly recommend 💛

Weekend Trip to Rustic Reins-Off Grid Cabin

Excellent spot and my wife and I had a great time for our anniversary trip! The cabin is well kept and maintained, with all the amenities listed in working order. We especially loved the wood stove in the cabin, which kept us warm and worked perfectly. Marie was an excellent host and shouted out some local recommendations. Nearby to all the local attractions, but secluded enough to feel like you're camping. Thanks for having us!

Great stay! A lovely private cabin with a great mountain view. It’s up a steep hill so you’ll need to be able to do that, but you can park right next to the cabin. There’s a nice stone firepit and a huge supply of firewood, as well as a gas grill, and a nifty indoor toilet and a sink where you can pump (nonpotable) water as you brush your teeth. The heat in the cabin is more than adequate, I’m sure it can heat the cabin well even in cold weather. It was great walking the trails around the fields with the dogs running free. Robby is super nice and was very responsive. It would be a great place to stay at twice the price!

Weekend Trip to Stoney Goat Homestead

This was a fun, quirky place to stay about 20 minutes from Watkins Glen. My daughter and I are both animal lovers so staying on a goat farm was great! Gary is very genuine and nice and a fantastic host! We stayed in the covered wagon which was my compromise for camping. There was a small wood stove and a fire ring outside

Weekend Trip to Greenbush Farm

Staying at your camp was amazing!! We were tired after a long drive, arrived late and were soooo happy to arrive to the handsomely large bundle of wood already nicely arranged with a fire starter right in the middle, with a lovely helping of smores waiting for us as well ( we did add these to our reservation and really appreciated how easy and fairly priced it was). The campsite was super cute, all lit up, and very private. The tent was roomy and clean and the bed was very very warm (it was a fairly cold night). The stars looked amazing, as advertised, and the view from the property as well as the property itself were beautiful. It was nice to go for a little walk with our dog in the morning along the cleared trails. I took a sneaky peak at the hilltop site as well since I knew it wasn’t booked that night and it was lovely. The portable toilet was clean and very close to the lower site we stayed at. Not a bad walk down the hill from hilltop, but we appreciated how very close it was to our site, though not close enough to feel like we’d sacrifice any privacy if other campers had to use it. The instructions and property map were very clear which made finding the property and the site a breeze even though we arrived late at night. The hosts clearly put a lot of effort into the sites and I’m looking forward to staying here again if we’re ever in the area.

Weekend Trip to Glenfiddich Farm

The little cabin was absolutely perfect and stocked with everything we needed. There is a propane heater inside for chilly nights. There were plates, silverware, and basic utensils. A small camp stove was there for our use as well. The bathroom was nice and clean even though it is a compost toilet. Firewood and kindling were provided, both kept covered to keep it dry. The beds were clean and comfortable. The property itself was absolutely gorgeous as well! Our two dogs enjoyed to free roam and we walked around the cornfield behind the cabin. We even saw five deer during our stay. Super secluded and worth every penny. We would be happy to stay again.

Weekend Trip to Waterfall Creek

Nice secluded spot. The cabin was kept very nice, and the heater was a plus. We appreciated the hatchet for kindling even though we ordered wood. We used a mattress topper on the pullout bed which was great. The creek is beautiful and about a 10 minute walk up the creek to the waterfall which was awesome. There were people staying at that campsite by the waterfall. Not sure how private it would be if there are other campsites along the way, so I’m glad it was relatively empty this time. Really lovely, especially this time of year.

Weekend Trip to Green Acres Glampground

Amazing experience! Firewood set out ready for me, and the nicest tent I've ever slept in. Also took my kayak and launched directly from the hammocks, was muddy but very simple! Though there is some road noise and a freight line nearby, it was peaceful and I was able to fully unplug for the weekend while I was there. Listening to the light rain was magical from inside the tent. Would 10/10 stay again or recommend.

This was a beautiful spot with great nearby views and some quiet hiking trails. The campsite felt really private and comfortable. It had exactly what we needed for a lovely couple of nights and we saw some other lovely spots on the property as well. Highly recommend for that sweet spot between rustic and extra comfortable.

Absolutely loved staying here after a long road trip! Gorgeous view, great setup, and plenty of space to relax. I really appreciated the bell tent so we didn’t have to mess with our own camping set up. The outside solar lights were an awesome touch as I’m not too fond of taking the dog out in the dark. Host was so kind and thoughtful. Thank you! We will definitely be back.

Love my annual trips to Randy and Allison's farm to load up on mountain fresh air, Seneca Lake hospitality, a years supply of goat milk soap (THE BEST) and some maple syrup for the hotcakes. This trip attempted the journey in the 68 Suburban, broken down, rebooked The Cabin in the Woods (Hazel, my dog and I's first time) and was grateful for the forced upgrade. No frills lodging with an insulated cabin, well stocked with the basics, charger power and a toilet at the top of the hill, and enough clear tree coverage down below to run Starlink and work off a solar set-up down below. Easy access to Watkins Glen and the surrounding vineyards and breweries. Be sure to inquire about Goat Yoga and stop by the Farm Store! You'll love your experience at Randy & Allison's - check'em out.

Ken's cabin was a dream. The remote location of the property is exactly what I was looking for. For the experienced camper, the cabin provides everything you could possibly want. As long as you know how to correctly prepare, you will have a very enjoyable stay. The waterfall on property is breathtaking, and the cabin is just a short drive into Watkins Glen. Weekend Trip to Rustic Reins-Off Grid Cabin

The cabin was super cute & the property was lovely. It was a beautiful view from the porch, the pond was so peaceful. Unfortunately we didn’t get to paddle around in the canoe like I had hoped, but it was a nice option to have. There was a jug for water provided for the spigot that was just a short walk away, dishes, utensils, & cooking necessities provided. There were a bunch of games & little puzzles stocked in there as well which was nice. The propane lamps provided a nice ambiance & heated the little space up quite a bit! It was also nice to have so many animals to visit! The few people we saw were very nice & the host, Marie, is very kind & responsive to messages.

Of course the horses greeting us after enjoying a beautiful sunset drive were the opening to a magical spot! We forgot wood (bring some!), but i scavenged and made a small fire. We came on a Tuesday so had the whole forest to ourselves, how i like it! We showered under the waterfall, wet our feet in the creek, and just enjoyed the view upwards, tall trees and night sky. The cabin was simple, super easy for people used to off-grid, my version of glamoing! Bring your sheets, your food, all of that. Road was easy, place was magical.

Ives Run Campground

Been coming here since 97 we absolutely love it here. Started out tenting switch to pop up now tow behind. Campsites are huge so you're not running into each other. We used to bring our boat along did a lot of boating here to . Caught some nice fish over the years . It's relaxing it's friendly and not all that expensive. I recommend this place to anyone.
