Hello & welcome to the Hillside Retreat camping site! We invite you to our beautiful retreat nestled in the heart of the Upper Delaware County countryside at the foothills of the Catskills near Callicoon, Hancock, Narrowsburg, Roscoe, Livingston Manor & Liberty. And we are 26 miles from great outdoor summer conceBethel Woods! Surrounded by rolling hills, lush forests & sparkling streams, your privately situated tent & living area is private. the Hillside Retreat is the perfect destination for nature lovers. There are plenty of opportunities for exploring along our maintained paths or at a nearby hiking location, fishing in the Delaware River (need a license!), kayaking/tubing & wildlife watching. We have eagles that live across the road! And at night, you'll be amazed by the stars twinkling in the sky as you make s’mores before drifting off into a great night’s sleep. For those who want to experience the great outdoors, the Hillside Retreat is a fully outfitted 10’ x 12’ canvas tent camping site with sweeping views of the Delaware Valley. The tent is situated with plenty of room to enjoy camping with privacy, peace and quiet. The site has a variety of amenities, including a queen-sized bed with memory foam mattress & fleece cover, table with chair, nightstands, a solar fan, rechargeable camping lamp, a fire pit with grill top (exempt from fire ban), a picnic table with benches, Adirondack chairs, bug sprays, exterior solar string lights, a five gallon potable water container our filtered mountain water, 2 sun showers, a camp stove, cookware/utensils/tableware, a pop up tent and a privacy loo tent for nature’s call. The tent is comfy for two adults. We also offer for rental a very nice glamping cot for a child or another adult. We offer bed linen (sheets, pillows and blankets), Yeti cooler (Tundra 45 and/or 110 Hard Cooler both with Yeti Ice Blocks) and cot RENTAL as well as eggs for sale. We provide firewood. No firearms or hunting allowed on premises. We are a CIGARETTE FREE property. Whether you're looking for a peaceful sojourn or an exciting outdoor adventure, the Hillside Retreat has something for everyone. The Hillside Retreat is a privately situated campsite with wide southwestern views of the Delaware Valley. The site includes a canvas tent with a queen-size bed with memory foam mattress, basic furnishings along with a picnic table, Adirondack chairs, potable filtered mountain water, a stand-alone hot/cold shower, camp loo, a two-burner stove, cookware, cutlery, plates and; drink ware. Complimentary firewood is provided. Linen rental is available by advance request. Pets are welcome; however, pets are not permitted when linen rental is selected. Yeti cooler rentals (45 or 110 Tundra Hard) with ice packs are also available to rent. Guests may enjoy hiking, biking, tubing or kayaking and fishing (license needed) in the Delaware River. Enjoy meandering along our trails. Wildlife watching is part of everyday life here, especially for the bald eagles who have a nest just across the street. The night skies are dark and well suited for stargazing. And s’mores. You will find us in Long Eddy, Delaware County, in the foothills of the Catskills, about 26 miles from great summer concerts and events at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts. Nearby towns including Callicoon, Hancock, Narrowsburg, Cochecton, Roscoe, Livingston Manor, Jeffersonville and Liberty offer shops, farmers markets and independently-owned restaurants. Bethel Woods Center for the Arts with its outdoor concerts and events is about a half-hour drive away. We raise a small flock of chickens, along with quail, ducks, turkeys, guinea fowl and one resident goose. Fresh eggs from our organically fed birds are available for purchase during your stay or by advance reservation. When in season, we may also have fresh flowers and produce available. It’s a peaceful, private place to slow down enjoy time outdoors. The site includes a canvas tent with a queen-size bed, memory foam mattress and basic furnishings as well as a picnic table, solar lighting, solar fan, Adirondack chairs, potable filtered mountain water dispenser, a stand-alone hot/cold shower, camp loo, a two-burner stove, cookware, cutlery, plates and drinkware.
