There are trails for hiking which extends along an abandoned railroad bed and also up into State game lands and into the deep woods. The hiking in the woods is on an incline. It a 2 minute walk from the property to public access to Pine Creek. It is a 45 minute drive to paddle the Western Branch of the Susquehanna near Lock Haven, PA.

Everything was awesome. The little cabin stayed so warm and was the perfect size for our family of three plus our doggo! The land was beautiful. Theresa and her husband were both so kind. We loved meeting their farm of animals. And she was easy to get a hold of and easy to chat with. We will definitely be going back. The porta potty is a short walk and they are working on a bunch of upgrades in the cabin too. The emus are wonderful and sweet, we visited them multiple times a day. I loved the tiny home. My partner and I had a great time. Definitely bring cooking equipment though if you plan to cook. I wasn’t sure whether to bring any, and saw it said it had basic cooking equipment but it wasn’t much to work with. Other than that everything was great. Easy to navigate and arrived without issue. Came late so couldn’t find the cabin, but customer service was great and helped navigate us in the dark. Would definitely recommend and come back to the campground when it’s warmer out!

Although the site was close to the road, it was very private and roomy. We enjoyed walking the trails around the property. We even saw a deer the one morning! the full hookup site was just as advertised -Easy to get into with plenty of room to maneuver.

Pear Cove is a great place to stay. We have stayed several times to watch our daughter’s final season playing soccer for a local college. We have always had a great time with no issues. The pad is as nice as you will find with newly poured concrete and equally new full hookups. The pad is the perfect size for our 30ft class A. It is a quiet location in the country but only 10 minutes to Lock Haven University and any amenities you may need. The hosts are also awesome people that make sure all is as it should be. We highly recommend this location.

Cabin was amazing. Beyond clean, sleek, with modern functions. I got it especially for the hottub lol. Highly recommend checking out the antique stores in the area, and Big Valley antiques 40 mins away, a true shoppers haven. Can't speak for the food in the area since I brought my own. But well worth the trip and will tell all my friends.

Best campground I've stayed at, hands down. Neat as a pin, quiet, no amenity neglected or forgotten. Tiny house #80 is just perfect - you can't go wrong. Comfortable beds, lots of space (for at least 3 adults or more), great drip coffee (supplied), plenty of towels and TP, hot water galore, comfortable couch and dinner table, generously sized refrigerator and cool little kitchenette (and if it's your thing, 3 flat screen TVs - one in each BR!). I highly recommend Bellefonte Campground. We will be back!!

Came for an event in Lewisburg and stayed here for the weekend, what a wonderful secluded site, lots of animals and dogs added to the charm! I wish I had more time to tour the farm and meet all the animals, I will have to come back. Highly recommend buying firewood from the farm if you plan on having a fire as it burned nicely.

Wolf, inspired by the Holy Spirit, recognized the pressing need for a camp meeting in the area. After an extensive search for a suitable location, he enlisted the help of Rev. William E. Straub. Together, they sought guidance from Rev. Carrie Yoder, who encouraged their mission. On a pivotal day in Sunbury, the two brethren prayed for direction in their quest for the perfect camp meeting site. Following their prayer, they explored the riverbanks and discovered a grove that would eventually become the campgrounds. At that time, there were others interested in purchasing the land for recreational purposes. However, through divine providence, the Hummel heirs chose not to sell to those seeking a pleasure resort. Instead, they agreed to sell the land to the brethren for camp meeting purposes after negotiating a fair price. With generous contributions from local friends and churches, the initial payment was secured, allowing the work to commence. Winter State Park is near seven-hundred-acre expanse of equally stunning vegetation―and shoreline views. Aside from the perfuming oaks and pines of the area, Raymond B. Winter State Park is also located within the hydrophilic confines of two freshwater landmarks: Halfway lake and Halfway Dam. But, we can assure you, there’s nothing “half” about them; they’re full-on natural attractions. And, with the parks six-miles of scenic, overlooking trails, you’ll be more than able to find a viewing angle worth Instagramming; Halfway Lake is also mounted by three-hundred-feet of white-sand. So pitch-up a tent or pull in your RV to one of the campground with electrical hookups and prune yourself with all the aquatic activities Raymond B. Winter State Park has to offer.

Raymond B. Winter Park Campground
Pretty, classic state park In the middle of the mountains. Some of the structures date back to the CCC era. Great for families. The campground is smallish and we enjoyed one of the walk-in sites. The beach at the little lake is popular with day users as well as campers. Great hiking and mountain biking in the park and the surrounding Bald Eagle State forest. The valley to the north has a small Amish community with on-farm sale of various products.
