Pitch your tent or park your vehicle at our secluded campsite with direct access to the Clemson Experimental Forest trail system. This campsite, accessed by a short, unpaved road, sits within hardwoods overlooking steep forested hillsides and a small woodland pond.  Several tent spots are available, and there is a level pull-in spot for your RV or camper van. The site includes a large stone fire pit, a picnic table, a charcoal grill, and a toilet. Please avail yourself of the abundant fallen wood for fires. City water is available from a spigot at our house, or you may filter water from the spring-fed pond below the campsite.

This site gives you direct, private access to 40 miles of biking, hiking, and equestrian trails in the Clemson Experimental Forest. Don’t hesitate to reach out to your hosts (avid mountain bikers and trail runners themselves) if you want tips on the best trails for your adventure. Don’t miss the opportunity to see Wildcat Falls, only a 1.5-mile hike away.

The town of Clemson and Clemson University are 10 minutes’ drive, giving easy access to shopping, restaurants, and sporting events (Go Tigers!). The small towns of Central and Six Mile are also both less than 10 minutes away. If lakes are your thing, access points to Lakes Hartwell and Keowee are minutes away. For a quieter experience, drive a bit further to Lake Jocassee.

You may also make yourself at home and explore our own 12+ acre homestead, including wooded trails, bamboo grove, creek, small orchard, garden, and chickens.  Homestead products available for purchase include firewood, eggs, and produce seasonally.  You will likely meet our large, friendly livestock guardian dog who patrols the property.

This hip camp was amazing as it was nestled in a hardwood forest below the house. Heather came to check on us as we arrived to make sure we had everything we needed. The site has a picnic table and fire ring. There were directions for hiking to wildcat falls which were about 25 feet high which was accessed by hiking through a huge evergreen forest (about 3 miles roundtrip). There were also hiking and biking trails in the forest. It was peaceful and quiet. Ursa, the dog, was our personal guard dog which barked at the local deer population etc. until they brought her in for the night. It was perfect for our tent and we would highly recommend this hip camp!

Wildcat falls which is a 3 mile roundtrip hike from the hipcamp. Nice!

Endless Forest is a great place to camp. Hudson made sure we had everything we needed including fire wood, water, and he even let us borrow a frying pan because we left ours. The campsite is adjacent to the experimental forest, so we were able to do some hiking during our stay. It was a restful trip and we plan to come back in the future.

The campsite was awesome -- just like described! Hudson and Heather were the perfect mix of attentive and respectful of our privacy. The dog is sweet and gentle. Our kids loved her! The location is on a great system of trails and the pond near the campsite was full of tadpoles for the kids to look at. I highly recommend it!

I hope to return — Hudson and Heather were kind and helpful, and had a pristine setup with picnic table, fire ring, and outhouse and the road to access was level and not too long (we were able to navigate on our Prius). I enjoyed hiking in the morning through the forest and in general the sense of privacy and peace in nature! Thanks to you both!

Such a great place! Quiet. Like, the only thing you’ll hear is the forest kind of quiet. A great set up with seating around the fire pit. There is at least a couple cords of wood cut and stacked and waiting for you to burn it. Trails to wander on. And the best furry friend/guard dog/ snuggle buddy you could want in Ursa. She laid right by my side and watched the woods for me. Hudson is really friendly. A great host who made sure I felt right at home.
