There is a small family owned bakery and many local farms and trails nearby. We are a 15min drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway and all of the beautiful scenic views provided year round. There is a short, steep trail on the property leading up to a bench perfect for solo reflection or admiring the wildlife and distant mountain range. The property is a hill sloping up from field to forest with a small creek that drains into a pond filled with koi fish. Our property is in the mountains so be prepared to walk up and down a hill/stairs. The shared bathroom, a small communal kitchen and infrared sauna are located in a separate heated building (Oak - at the bottom of the property).

Christy’s place suited my needs perfectly, I was just looking for a place with basic amenities to get out the cold for one night before starting my backpacking trip. Two things I wanna mention though, if the temperature is dipping below 40°F make sure you have a warm enough sleeping bag or quilt because the little heater they have in there didn’t do much at that temperature, and secondly, I just had a 2 wheel drive truck and the driveway is very steep getting in and out and I was barely able to make it so just keep that in mind. But otherwise, it’s a beautiful place on a beautiful property and I would have loved to stay another night. Only took me about 15 minutes to get to Brevard for some dinner.

Richie was a great host and the shack was cute. The land is just uphill of the host's main house. You don't have to worry about the shared property because he respects your privacy. He said hello to us when we arrived and then we saw him again just before we checked out. It rained each night we stayed here and the shack kept us warm and dry.

The perfect break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life! The cabin is cozy, yet bright and open feeling. The bed has a comfortable high-quality mattress, and it is was wonderful waking up to the stunning view of sky and mountains. In the fall the surrounding colors are beautiful and golden leaves rain down around. You have to be comfortable walking up and down hills, but if you are it is so very worth it. We will definitely be coming back!

What a rare treat! Josh and Fanny’s family was so welcoming — kind and attentive without ever being all up in my business. I loved using their sauna and the yoga/exercise room, which had just the right mix of dumbbells and equipment to help me stay on track with my fitness goals. The coffee, espresso, and tea setup was top-notch too. I never felt like I was “camping” at all — more like staying at a peaceful retreat. Honestly, if I were an author, this would be the perfect place to write a novel!

Awesome spot near both Pisgah and DuPont trails. Everything was as advertised. Host was very easy to work with, and she had two lovely dogs! I was only stopping through, so I didn't get to test out the single track on the property. However, next time through I'm definitely going to stay here again!

4 nights at Creekside Cabin at Lake Hartwell

I have to say, this was hands-down the best organized, cleanest, easiest, most amenity-laden cabin I’ve ever rented. So many details, from the embroidered robes to the bound book of instructions and recommendations. From the kitchen appointments to the coffee. There are really too many amazing little things to list here, but you could really tell the owners absolutely care about the experience their property provides. And we went panning for gold in the creek below the back deck and even found a little! It was incredibly comfortable and lots of fun. Just make sure you’re ok with stairs and aren’t too large to fit the spiral to the loft. I honestly cannot think of a single improvement to make. Didn’t even matter that it rained so much, because there was plenty left to do inside.

The ability to cook some warm meals on the stove was helpful, and not have to deal with a tent was very convenient. Mattresses on the bunks were comfy. We loved this cabin, the location was great and it was very peaceful. The kitchen items were awesome, our propane was out and they brought a new tank right away. Not a lot of phone service, which was great for our family. Overall, this was a great experience and we will definitely be back.

We really enjoyed the quaintness of Bill‘s cabin. It was really neat having the open air feature because we could sit on the bench between the bunks and watch the fire and relax from inside the cabin. Very peaceful and relaxing space where you can enjoy nature, and still have the luxury of an actual bed and cabin instead of roughing it in a tent. We went with our three young boys just for a night and it was perfect. They woke up excited to explore the property and the cold plunge was really neat too. We will definitely be back again, and probably will bring friends next time too. It was a great experience!
