We loved staying at The Nest! You could tell Lisa puts her heart into every detail. We tried to take care of it as our own little cabin because you could literally feel the warmth and care coming from within is the best way to describe it. How beautiful to spend time in nature, with the Carolina birds chirping outside all day, and oh the homemade brownies and coffee filled with water waiting. Everything you’d expect in a high end hotel (even a toothbrush, not knowing I had forgotten mine 🥹). Continued blessings to the hosts!

The Nest was absolutely perfect for our weekend getaway in the mountains for my birthday. My partner and I felt very comfortably and well met by the amenities that this small (but mighty cozy and well set up) space offered. The shower was amazing after a day of hiking. We also appreciated the brownies and the comfy mattresses. Highly recommend for a practical yet romantic getaway!

The Nest was the perfect getaway for me and my dog. It's comfy, cozy, and clean. It's a great location if you want to explore all the natural beauty WNC has to offer. It's small, but has everything you might need and the hot shower was a big plus after spending the day outside.

Loved staying at The Nest. It was cozy with everything we needed to enjoy our time. We were able to go hiking, drive easily to stores, or restaurants as needed and come back to enjoy the beautiful space that has been created for guests.

So glad we found this place. My best friend and I needed a little nature getaway and this was just what we needed! Cozy, simple, and a perfect location. When we weren't hiking or exploring lakes, we spent most of our time outside grilling or just by the fire. Absolutely incredible and we can't wait to come back!

Amazing little cabin for a mountain getaway! Close to lots of amazing waterfalls and a few small towns to get all that you need, this little cabin had all the essentials for a wonderful trip. Very cozy and clean, perfect for 2 people and a dog.

The Nest had everything we needed and was super cute and clean, with a very cool camping vibe. It was conveniently located less than 5 minutes from Gorges State park. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend it to others.

We loved our stay at The Nest! It’s super cozy and has all the amenities you need for a getaway. We especially loved that it was within 30 minutes of countless waterfalls, hikes, and mountain biking trails. The host, Lisa, is really sweet and had homemade brownies ready for us when we arrived. Even though we were close to the main home, it still felt very private. Enjoyed sitting outside by the fire (firewood was provided) and having dinner on the little porch. The bathroom was full functioning and we never ran out of hot water in the shower which we greatly appreciated! Parking was easy in our large van which was a nice bonus too.

We loved our stay at The Nest! It was super cozy with a summer camp kind of feel. The surroundings were beautiful and Lisa provided us with extra treats upon arrival...brownies, hot chocolate, doggie snacks, etc. The backyard campfire situation was so nice at night as well. Beds were super comfy...We look forward to going back.
There are so many amazing trails, waterfalls, and lakes around the area and this was the perfect home base for us while we went out exploring during the day.

Everything was great. Price was reasonable. Nice and quiet. Very clean. Only thing there is no kitchen sink and stove but I was not there to cook. I would rent it again and recommend it to others.

The website stated that this place had honey tasting with crackers cheese and wine along with a breakfast with seasonal fruit. When I asked the owner about it and if I could make it an appointment, he very rudely said "we're not set up for that, so carry on!" If you're not going to be set up for what you advertise then don't advertise it.
The cabin was clean quiet and very well equipped. The wife was very nice.She had made brownies and left my dog some dog treats.
I will not stay at this owner's resident ever again and nor do I recommend it to of my friends or family.

We absolutely loved staying at the Nest. It was such a nice accommodation with anything you could think of - a nice bathroom and shower with hot water, microwave, mini fridge and freezer, even a solo stove for making s’mores outside. It truly felt like I was back at the girls camp I grew up going to not to far away from here in the best way. Lisa and Lee were fantastic hosts and we hope to return!

The Nest was the cutest cabin in a superb area- my boyfriend and I stayed there for 3 nights and there were so many trails in the area for us to explore! We also enjoyed making barbecue in the campfire/grill in the yard. Lisa was so accommodating with this trip and everything we needed was found in the drawers- anything else we needed was available at the ingles 15 mins away. The cabin itself was adorable and so clean! Definitely would recommend and is the perfect getaway :)

A lovely cozy cabin with little touches that made our stay very comfortable. The cabin was very clean and roomy for two people. Great location in Sapphire. We loved sitting by the fire-pit after we got back from our daily adventures. We enjoyed the quiet surrounding. Closed to Gorge State Park for hiking and waterfalls. The host was thoughtful and great in communications with us. We would recommend The Nest for anyone looking for a getaway to the mountains.

Perfect spot, nestled in Sapphire with lots to do in the area! The cabin was much bigger than we expected it to be, and had pretty much everything we needed. Very cute decor and comfy beds! Lee was very available to us and helpful with recommendations. We definitely want to come back for another stay!

It’s a cozy cabin with all the things you may need tucked into cute drawers :) We totally enjoyed the fire pit and the host has thought of everything: kindling, Fire starters, a long lighter and stacked wood once you have a baby fire going!
Comfortable beds and bedding, a very comfy bathroom (shower/towels included), and extra blankets should you need them.
Great communication from the host and a note once inside the cabin with extra info.
Host provided coffee and a coffee cake (sweet surprise!) and recommendations for near-by restaurants and waterfalls.
We enjoyed gem mining (Jackson Hole Gem Mining/Highlands, NC), waterfalls (Whitewater Falls, Bridal Falls, Dry Falls), pizza at Villa Amato (Toxaway Lake), breakfast at Panthertown, and exploring Cashiers, Highlands, and Franklin NC.
It’s a wonderful ‘base camp’ for exploring this stunning area of western NC! We had some rain and enjoyed Yahtzee and cribbage on the covered porch in spite of the weather.
Would recommend for 1-2 people, those that want to explore without setting up camp, the feeling of camping but in a rustic cabin with electricity & plumbing :))

Lisa and her husband Lee were more than hospitable, they felt like family. They made me feel safe and made sure to check on me daily for any needs.
