Learn more about this land:One can expect a wonderful wilderness experience at Earthganic Farm’s riverside camping. The path down to the sites is drivable in a truck, SUV, or van. There’s always the option to park up at the house and walk down (it’s a ten minute walk from the house to the river) and if you let us know ahead of time, we can bring your camping stuff down for you. We have two single kayaks that we rent for $15/day and you can put them in right on property and kayak up and down the river. There are walking/dirt biking trails through pine forest and nice hardwoods down by the river. The brave can take dips in the river. Just down the street there is a boat access ramp for canoes, kayaks, and flat bottom boats.

Just a small piece of God's creation right on the Saluda River. Come and enjoy the solitude and serenity of this spot on the Saluda River, surrounded by thousands of acres of forests and farms. Camp on the river, in the field or overlook the river from the high bluff in the old growth forest. The gravel road going down to the river is finished, I drive my Honda Civic down daily and no issues (very low clearance). Kayaking from Holiday Dam to the camp site is incredible. The trip takes about 3.5 hours with lots of shoals and rapids. You can also kayak or tube from the camp site to Erwin Mill bridge in a little over an hour. This is more of a river float with just a couple rapids, but equally as beautiful.

Several miles of trails, dirt roads and streams wind through hundreds of acres which you are free to explore. The property has been owned by members of our family for 75 years or more with areas of it family-owned since the 1800's. A large portion of the property is dedicated to sustainable loblolly pine forests dating back to the 1980's. A significant area of the property is dedicated to native hardwood forest and has some of the oldest and largest white oak, poplar, elm and shortleaf pines in the upstate. We do allow eating size catfish under 3lbs to be taken from lake. Large catfish and all other types of fish are catch and release only. No fishing license required. In just about 2 hours you can be in the Asheville area where you can enjoy and take in the local attractions and gorgeous mountain views. Another short jaunt into Georgia takes you to Hartwell and it's quaint southern atmosphere near Lake Hartwell. Additional short trips and you'll find more water, fishing, fun and sights on scenic Lake Russell and the Savannah River. When you lay your head on our property you will be laying your head on Cherokee land. The property is at the meeting place of five soperate trails of the Cherokee, which is why it is called Trail Rd. Across the street you may pull water from the old well which has recently been restored. Craytonville is the town that grew up around the well, and used to be the stomping grounds of John C. Calhoune and for many years was believed to be the place where Abraham Lincoln's parents met. This was believed until 2015 when DNA disproved the rumor, but still the rumor is absolutely fascinating! South Carolina recently named the campsite property as a historical landmark. So, bring the metal detectors!
