From the flat land at the bottom to the top of the mountain, this is a place where you can find a spot to sit and think, draw, paint, nap, or identify over 30 medicinal plants in their natural habitats (absolutely NO harvesting of medicinals or wildflowers!). Listen to the many birds, spot the wildflowers. Some areas are accessible by wheelchair, while others are not, but all areas offer something to sustain your spirit. If you feel the need to explore the area, you are within walking distance of NotaViva Farm Brewery and Winery, 15 dirt road minutes from the new Sweet Run State Park one direction and Breaux Vineyard in the other direction. The Appalachian Trail is just over the top of the mountain and Harpers Ferry National Park is down the road and over the Shenandoah River. Rodney and Tara were very welcoming and gave us great directions to their place. Their farm is relatively close to Fredericksburg and the surrounding area. Our 32’ Class A fit just right but I would not go any bigger than that by the woodshed. He has a very nice wooden deck set out with lights, which is a great place to set up your chairs for the evening and listen to all the wildlife in the forest. We really enjoyed the night sky and being surrounded by nature.

We stopped at the farm for a last minute overnight getaway. It was a nice change of scenery and pace — adorable goats and super friendly farm dogs! Rodney was very kind and offered a better spot than we had originally planned for (bonus!). We also had the unexpected pleasure of having a campfire on an uncharacteristically cool July evening — so relaxing!

Great space, easy to get to sites, bathhouse, large open Dog Park, play areas, pool is nice! Camp has a small store on site, not too far from Luray (a Walmart, auto shops, and restaurants if you need more things.) 10/10 would recommend and return if I can.

A safe and secluded parking spot off the the beaten path to spend the night. Excellent amenities and great communication from the host. Easy breezy! We arrived late and a “late arrivals” packet was waiting for us. Our site was clean and the hookups worked perfectly. The trash area was also clean. The little store was really cute but limited - so come prepared. Neighbors were quiet. Views beautiful! They even have a dog park!!
