Our property is in Howard County, Maryland, and is super convenient to I-95, I-295, Hwy 32, and I-70. It is centrally located between Washington, DC, Baltimore, MD, and Frederick, MD. We are located right off of Highway 32 down a long, private paved driveway. What makes our property unique is all that it has to offer--it's an 18 acre oasis with mature woods protected by a conservation deed, lightly rolling hills, beautiful fields, wetlands, and a pond. It is not surprising to see deer and our local great blue heron on the property throughout the day. There is also a fire pit, which you are free to use. Firewood is free, though it may get wet when it rains.

Nice place, it is very centrally located to Baltimore and DC. Many people in the past have ended up staying here for long term stays as traveling nurses or physical therapists. Rates will be cheaper for month-to-month leases. Also access is available to nearby hiking areas within walking distance with piney run creek. There is a great park nearby called piney run park within 10 min driving distance. Very nice professional setting.

From the flat land at the bottom to the top of the mountain, this is a place where you can find a spot to sit and think, draw, paint, nap, or identify over 30 medicinal plants in their natural habitats (absolutely NO harvesting of medicinals or wildflowers!). Listen to the many birds, spot the wildflowers. Some areas are accessible by wheelchair, while others are not, but all areas offer something to sustain your spirit. If you feel the need to explore the area, you are within walking distance of NotaViva Farm Brewery and Winery, 15 dirt road minutes from the new Sweet Run State Park one direction and Breaux Vineyard in the other direction. The Appalachian Trail is just over the top of the mountain and Harpers Ferry National Park is down the road and over the Shenandoah River. We might be a teeny bit biased, but we think this is area of northwest Loudoun County, VA is one of the loveliest places in the world.

Hawkwood Farm is a historic property in the Catoctin Mountains. The house dates back to 1803. At that time, it is documented that there was a blacksmith shop on the property. There is a functioning blacksmith shop today, as well as an expansive wood working shop. A ;band of rhyolite runs through the property that was used by Native Americans for spear points dating back to the paleolithic period. Presently, we strive to live as sustainably and as closely to nature as possible, being good stewards of the land that we are blessed to call home. If you are looking for lots of open space with a sensational view of the sky then this is the place for you! This site is great for viewing all kinds of celestial events. You will also have access to the rest of what Hawkwood Farm offers including forest trails and an array of wildlife. Your campsite features full hookups and is tucked into a private, shaded corner of the farm with wide-open views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and surrounding pastures. About Tyme Farm is a 26 plus acre privately owned farm used for crops such as corn, soy beans and sunflowers. The property includes a 150+ year old stone farm house, large historic barn on the barn quilt tour in Carroll County, renovated camping cabin for those not into rough camping, fields, streams , woods for hiking, plenty of wild life and lots of quiet. The farm is surrounded by other farms in the agricultural preservation program yet you are only 5 miles from stores, movies, antiques and other aspects of civilization or entertainment if needed. Enjoy watching the deer come out of the woods and meander along the stream and fields at dusk and return in the morning. Electric, water, fire pit and a Port a Pot is available even for rough campers. Pets welcome but must be on a leash or exercise pen or with their owners in some way while here for their safety. There is a large fenced yard for dogs that just have to run if needed. Glamorous camping with a furnished heated/cooled cabin is available for rent by the night for those who do not have camping equipment or do not want to rough it. For those that have been camping before and have all the equipment there is plenty of room for a tent or camper near the buildings or by the stream or woods. For RV owners there is 50amp electric service in the barn. You will need an RV extension cord to access it. I have a 100 ft RV ext. cord but it can be farther than that depending on where you park. Bring one of your own to be sure. It is a farm and not set up like an RV park with numerous outlets.
