Tents ONLY Site 3
Good Base Camp for Mountain Fun
My family really enjoyed our stay at site #3, and we wish it could have been longer (had to leave early due to a family emergency). It's a great basecamp for exploring Mt. St. Helens, which was our primary focus, and is located just a few minutes down the road from the sediment dam that protects all the communities downriver and the forest learning center which has some cool information and artifacts from the 1980 eruption.
Unfortunately we weren't able to get up to the Johnston Ridge Observatory due to a large landslide covering the road, but we're hoping to visit when it reopens, and we'd definitely like to stay at this campground again when the time comes for another St. Helens trip.
It came equipped with everything we needed, it felt fairly private, and there was plenty of level ground to pitch our tent. Hearing the river rushing by was really nice and made up for a bit of road noise.

Tents ONLY Site 2
Easy recommendation!
The land was beautiful, and the camp site was clean and stocked with the things we wanted. The river is super close, gorgeous, and pretty easy to get to. The highway being close created some intrusive noise, but I honestly liked that; it's a reminder that you're not TOO deep in the woods. The hosts were gracious, helpful, and expedient.
Easy recommendation!

Tents ONLY Site 4
It is a well-developed sight with a beautiful river nearby. The camp has all the amenities for a nice getaway.

Such great shade and river access! Off the road but more of a white noise than anything.

Trailer/Campervan/Tents Site 1
We had a lovely stay, access to the river was great, lots of space at site 1. Would stay again.
Campervans/Tents ONLY Site 6
Fun spot on the river and cute camp sites.
The porta potty was overly full and leaking fluid on the floor.
