A little haven of warmth and relaxation.
Come experience this amazing Off Grid riverside enclave! Situated along the banks of the Tye River, this is the closest location to Steven’s Pass mountain and all the popular sites the scenic corridor has to offer! 6min from Steven’s Pass Resort, 1min to Scenic Hot Springs, 2min to Deception Falls, 2min walk from Iron Goat Trailhead and Cat skiing pickup! Just 45min from Leavenworth as well! Guests have the option to add on the Sauna package and enjoy our wood fired river view barrel sauna! No better feeling than to take a cold plunge in the river after a sauna:) On weekends we run our riverside wood burning hot tub as well included in the sauna/ hot tub package! All tent sites are riverside and feature mostly level tentpads and riverside fire pits! Some with room for multiple tents. While some sites are close in proximity, the sound of the river over powers most normal conversations just a few feet away and each site has a great stretch of river heaven! Drive in vehicle camping sites feature river views but are perched higher on the bank and while not directly riverside, are just feet away from the river! The property has communal river access points. All campers have access to our communal kitchen area as well featuring propane grill! Please bring your own cookware. Restroom facilities are well maintained portable toilets.

This beautiful riverside site features an ~15x15 tent pad area and a firepit steps from the rivers edge! It also has room to setup another smaller tent in the site. This site is adjacent to site #1 and separated by privacy fencing. The hangout spots of the sites are spaced out and with the river flowing by noise from neighbors is not an issue. This site also is the closest site to our river bench carved into a fallen log sticking out in the river! This is a new property and we are still adding some finishing touches. Site 3 is a beautiful riverside site that has a fire pit and large hangout area on the river bank! It has an ~12x12 tent pad area. This site is centrally located amongst the sites, yet well spaced out, and can be accessed via the steps or walking path equidistantly. The tent pad is set slightly back from the river, behind logs, that separate the pad and the firepit. While you can’t “see” the river from your tent, you are only feet away! This is a new property and we are still adding some finishing touches. We’re excited to share this amazing property with guests! Note: You will hear the highway and train at times (as with all properties in the corridor) but traffic on the pass is extremely minimal at night.

Site 5 is a beautiful riverside site that was designed with groups in mind! The biggest site on the Ascent property, with space for 3+ tents, where up to 12 guests can enjoy a fire along the banks of the river! This site is directly at the bottom of the path from the parking area, and the furthest away from communal spaces. This site is our largest site and features an ~30’x40’+ tent area. This is a new property and we are still adding some finishing touches. We’re excited to share this amazing property with guests! Note: This site takes priority for group bookings. Please do not book this site on weekends with less than 4 people in your party unless it available is within the week of your desired stay. If all other sites are sold out please reach out to us and we will do our best to accommodate you. Beautiful campsites right on the river with clear directions, well maintained sites, and an optional hot tub and sauna package that is a must! The propane grill in the cooking area and clean portable toilets were great to have close by. Definitely had the best fire pit of all the sites at riverside campsite #3.

This place was so special it's almost hard to put into words. The dreamiest riverside camping where if you're able to snag a tent spot you can sleep just feet away from the river. The property has the most amazing barrel sauna and basically we didn't leave the entire stay, save for a quick walk around because this space was that incredible. It is right off the highway, but the river drowns out any noise.

Absolutely beautiful campsite! Nice amenities and the river is right there! Easy to get to and out of. Mark was great, he greated us when we came in and made sure we were set for winter camp! His dog is super friendly! 10/10 recommend and look forward to coming back this summer!

Jacob and Ian have a welcoming property close to all the great outdoor activities the Cascades have to offer. I visited in the winter for a day of riding at Stevens Pass. The Cascades had recently received a big dump of snow but they had the property plowed and ready for my arrival. Perfect spot for winter van camping.

Such a magical little spot with the best hosts! Nothing like a crackling fire right next to a picturesque river. The sauna absolutely made the trip with a warm spot to relax in the cold of winter. You can see the river from inside too. All the amenities you need for some excellent glamping! We went up to Scenic Hot Springs and then stayed here. The perfect little getaway with my spouse.

We camped at Ascent Basecamp in mid October and enjoyed our stay that we booked again this last weekend in mid November despite the pouring rain each time because of the beautiful riverside setting and shared covered kitchen with the essential wood stove made it that cozy! The drive to experience the fall leaves and a visit to Leavenworth were calling! I actually loved the trains across the highway and the river sounds which drown out any traffic noise from the highway. The camp caretakers were all helpful and the sauna experience was great the second time after the wood was sorted.

Instructions for arrival were great. We got to campsite after sunset, in the middle of rain, after hiking Colchuck Lake. Finding site was easy, and description is accurate. Was a little concerned about possibility of traffic noise, but Mark was spot on, you won’t hear a thing! Waking up the next morning to the sound of the river was awesome. Facilities were clean, and sauna looked very inviting. We will definitely be back, this site is surrounded by places we want to explore.

My friend and I had a wonderful time at Ascent Basecamp and look forward to returning in the future. The site was easily accessible and we stayed just a few feet from the river. Although we were near the highway, the sound of the river drowned out the noise and made it feel like we had the whole place to ourselves (which we did the second night). The communal kitchen was perfect and provided a dry space to chill on a drizzly morning, while enjoying a lofty view of the river. The sauna add on was PERFECT. We were delighted to meet the campground hosts who were incredibly kind, accommodating, and respectful. We also enjoyed great food and hospitality at Maggy's Mexican restaurant in Goldbar and Squirrel Tree at Cole's Corner.

A place for river lovers!

Mark was so quick to respond to my spontaneous, day of, camping request. I had never camped on someone's private property before so I didn't expect much but was very pleased at the beautiful lay of the land. It's a breathtaking place! All tent sites are right on the river and private. We stayed at site 1, which is the closest site to its neighbor #2. However, the owner put up a fence that blocks any view between, that was just perfect! The firepits are a great touch as well. The restrooms (portapotty) were well maintained and stocked. My only recommendation for future campers that book tent site 1 (the best spot in my opinion), be sure to bring a mat or air mattress as there's some uneven and rocky spots on the tent pad. This site is also the furthest from parking so if you have a lot of stuff, I'd recommend site #4. I didn't use the sauna bc it's not my thing, but I'm sure it will get it's use and is s lively addition to the grounds. The hot tub wasn't going (last weekend in August), and it was too hot to use anyway but I can't wait to come back in the fall/winter and sit in there, it's right on the river too!

We loved staying here -- it was a great spot! Camping by the river is excellent, it felt private from the other sites, and the ground was nice and flat. You can hear the cars going by on highway 2, but it dies down as the night goes on. The sauna was an amazing add-on, I highly recommend!

I loved camping here! Right on the river, very peaceful. Clean toilet. The sauna was great!! Easy directions, just as described. The camp hosts came to check in, everything was great. No cell service which, I actually appreciated! Will definitely be back.

This was such a cool site! The sauna and covered food prep area were so helpful. Our camp hosts were amazing and checked on us everyday and made sure we knew the sauna was ready. The site was clean and close to all the hikes we wanted to do. There was noise from the highway, but the river drowned it out at night. Would definitely come back here! Such a great experience!

Absolutely a beautiful setting far away from the rat race of life, wife and I are so syked for this place to open up, having a local spot to camp while we play in the mountains, and let’s not forget the beautiful barrel sauna in the river. We walked along the other sites and really enjoyed how they are all different in settings, some are so close to the river, that we will be back soon on our next hike. Everything was absolutely perfect for us. Great place for sure, highly recommend for summer and really stocked for the winter snow..

Where to even start? This place was incredible! It may be fool's gold, but I'm pretty sure we found a bunch in the river that we had all to ourselves. We are RIVER LOVERS, so to have a tent spot that opened up to a view of the river... falling asleep to the sound of the river... spending all day playing in the river. It doesn't get better than that. We will definitely be back. HIGHLIGHTS - Sauna was incredible - definitely add it on to your stay Outdoor kitchen was convenient Porta- potties were serviced just before our stay and sparkling clean River, river, river This is one of those places that will just get better over time. We look forward to renting it out again next time we're passing through Steven's Pass.

The couple overseeing the site were very welcoming, but not overbearing. They gave us a small tour, then got the fire in the sauna started. I wouldn’t say that it’s super easy to dip in the river after the sauna, but not impossible (it’s just kinda shallow). The sauna was amazing. We will definitely be visiting again!

Wow, wow, wow!! We had booked a set of sites up in Entiat and when the Pomas wildfire forced cancellations, we were nervous we wouldn’t find a spot to celebrate our 14 year old son’s birthday party. All he wanted to do was camp with family and kayak! The stars aligned and Ascent Basecamp went live. We booked out almost the entire campground (aside from 1 site) for his birthday and hope to do it again soon. There’s something insanely special about being able to rent out an entire campground for your family to come together for meals, evening saunas, fireside s’mores, and river exploration. We made so many awesome memories and the kids cannot stop talking about how epic it was. There are two cabin style spots that you can rent out on Airbnb and we rented those as well - Grandparents stayed in the cabins, uncles in the van sites and families down in the tent sites on the river. Super neat to experience all the different kinds of spots and come together in the community kitchen for all meals. Can’t recommend enough! We will be back.

We loved the sauna and how close to the river the tent sites are! The porto potty was also very clean and everything in the campground is well marked and labeled. The hosts were very kind and helpful. We also lucked out and had the entire place to ourselves the first day we were there for about 5 or 6 hours which was lovely. I wish we had known beforehand that the hot tub wouldn’t be functioning. There is also quite a bit of noise from the road as the campground is literally right off the highway. But that didn’t bother us too much. Whoever camped there before us left quite a bit of litter throughout the tent site area. We did our best to clean up what we could see, but this was also a bummer. No one wants to see little pieces of plastic and garbage all over the ground when they’re trying to camp and enjoy nature. All of that being said I would definitely recommend this place as a great jumping off point for all of the outdoor recreation the area has to offer!

This place was magical! We had the area to ourselves, and upon arrival our hosts (so welcoming and friendly! were building the fire in the sauna, the lights were strung, and our fire pit was ready right next to the river. It is located right off the highway, so there was the sound of traffic, but it didn’t bother us at all with the sound of the river. We enjoyed the sauna, cold plunged in the river, and enjoyed a small fire with a glass of wine! It was the perfect night! Thank you!!

The photos are deceiving! Don’t be fooled by the nice saunas and hot tub. It was so bad we didn’t stay and wanted to share the experience so you don’t waste your money and expectations. When we arrived to the campsite, there was no parking. It is so cramped at the entrance you couldn’t park unless you were parking in someone else campsite, or the “car camping” spots which is the size of a parking space. The owners of the property had literal junk/ trash piles everywhere, that they tried to cover with a tarp. You could smell the stink of the porta potties through the entire camp. On top of that the sites are so tiny you’re literally staring at your neighbors within 1 and 2 feet of each other. We booked riverside #3 because of the bench on the river. The site does not have access directly to the river or bench. You had to climb over 2 fallen full grown trees and foliage to get to the bench/ river. Hope the owners stop being greedy, clean up the space, totally deceptive with a no refund policy. Run away.
