Our first time camping here and reserved RV slot 2. It had aplenty of space, a firepit and shared picnic table. It was quiet and only one other RV neighbor. The river was within walking distance and we enjoyed our stay. Instructions were clear to find the place and although it was a dirt road and a couple of puddle holes, it wasn't bad to drive on. In slot 2 we did however find the tree above the site to be too low and dragged across our roof and shoyld be cut but no damage was done. The reservation stated it was a pull through but really was not. Regardless, we enjoyed our stay.

Great spot! We were able to test out our new overland trailer and gear in a close by, easy to access space. Being able to park at our campsite was a must have with our setup. The river is great for swimming and paddle boarding.

The site was a lot less private than expected. The grounds were fine and the bathrooms were clean. There was a lot of noise from dogs and the highway across the street. The brightness of the lights on the houses on property were bothersome. While pretty, the level of the river is very very low leaving little to do. There is no way you could paddle board or even float in the river. Overall we were not super impressed considering the fees. We left one day early and went camping somewhere else

This is definitely one of the best camping spots we have been to! Access to the river was very easy, even from up the hill, and the water was absolutely perfect. The restrooms were nice and clean. We stayed in Spot 2 with our travel trailer and we were grateful that no one booked Spot 1 next to us so we had a good amount of space and privacy. There were plenty of other people there but everyone was respectful and we were pretty spread out so the noise was minimal.

Been to so many camp sites and Sparrow Bend is by far the best!! Clean amenities, spacious campsites, and the most gorgeous view. Sparrow Bend sets a high standard. It's hard to camp anywhere else without wanting to compare. It's doesn't get better, especially at such a reasonable price. Will be coming back over and over and over <3

My group & I loved camping here. It was beautiful, hosts were quick to respond/helpful when needed, amenities were better than expected! Outdoor showers/sink/bathrooms were nice. The space was also bigger than we expected. Only thing I'd recommend is to bring some ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. The dogs in the neighborhood would bark occasionally in the night/early AM and any sounds echo from the river canyon. It wasn't a deal-breaker but ear plugs made all the difference in sleep quality. Also, even though the river was low, the water was refreshing/clean & we were able to swim plenty (perfect for floats/paddleboards). Overall, a wonderful experience & we look forward to coming back!

We camped at Sparrow Bend River Retreat during a few stormy days, but honestly, it made the trip even more memorable. The wind and rain brought out a wild beauty in the landscape, and the facilities held up great. We’re already planning our return!

Very beautiful setting. My wife took video of sparrows in cliff.
Slot 2 is pull through only if Slot 1 empty or is in your party. Otherwise it is back in and renders sewer inaccessible. Slot 2 needs it's picnic table. Slot 2 needs more gravel to cover area for RV and tow vehicle. It was a muddy mess getting out this morning.

As much as I really don’t want to share this slice of heaven, I do have to give this trip a five star review! We got there Thursday before the weekend crowds and had the place almost to ourselves. Beautiful location, great amenities, awesome camping experience! Will be back for sure!

It was nice to have facilities close by, but the site was not really private. The site next to us was up being loud until 2 am(despite posted 10 pm quiet hours). Additionally, there were multiple dogs on all sides of the property that were allowed to bark ALL night, and there was apparently a donkey somewhere making horrible noises throughout the night. It was literally impossible to sleep. Our own dog, while she was quiet, would not lay down to sleep ALL night because of all the sounds. We could not stay the second night because it was such a bad experience. It is quieter at our home in the city than at this campsite at night. I read the reviews about some barking dogs before, but I didn’t think it would be as bad as it was. It sounded like we were sleeping next to a dog kennel or something, and all the dogs were outside! The river view is pretty, but I would not swim (at least right now), as the water is pretty low and there was a whole flock of birds nesting in the cliffs defecating into the water. It might be great for kayaking though. We just needed to head home to get some sleep to have any restorative time. I’m sad this place didn’t work out for tent camping. Those in the houses might have better luck.

Sparrow's Bend is a treasure. The hosts have anticipated guests needs with a well kept camp including access to an air-conditioned bathroom and outdoor shower. We brought wood but ended up running low into our second night and they very conveniently keep a pile of firewood with a venmo QR code. We brought our paddle boards and very easily launched right out of camp, though the water is still very, very low. We were able to explore quite a ways in either direction and just had to carry our boards for little sections at a time. Really the best part of the river is right at Sparrows Bend where we spent most our time watching the sparrows and the fish.

Me and my buddy camped out in a tent on the land. For starters I’ve never seen so many deer in one place. We pulled up after dark our second night and was greeted by at least 50 deer such a beautiful sight. Adventured up the creek bare foot and enjoyed the sparrows dancing in the sky. Secure location, clean restrooms, and the outdoor showers were and amazing experience (wash yourself fast lol) the hot water doesn’t last very long when it’s a little colder outside but I’m sure in the summer weather the shower is amazing. I will be booking again in the future.

This place is beautiful and the owners are very kind it had everything we needed a/c restrooms and nice showers, charging stations came in handy sense we stayed 4 days! The river is so clear and beautiful my girlfriend found so many pretty rocks around. The hills in the back ground was a refreshing view to wake

We had a great time :) We loved that you can rent tubes and stuff which provided for something for us to do. The spot is beautiful and the water is just a quick walk away.
We had a rough go during our stay though, with our neighbors in a cabin not abiding by the quiet time of 10pm, so we did not sleep. The 2nd night of our stay, there was a LOUD fight, loaded with profanity in the middle of the night coming from the same cabin. They also left their string lights on the entire night which beamed right into our camper windows :) We were able to commiserate with our RV neighbors (haha) who were kept up as well. There were also lots of dogs barking and howling nearby. I was surprised with how small our parking area was, and how close it is to the cabin. In addition, when we arrived someone from the cabin was parked very close to our RV space, infringing on our zone quite a bit until they moved the car. This spot may be better for the cabins & less so for campers in tents and Rv's.

This place is a hidden gem! I almost don’t want to let the secret out but the hosts are awesome and the grounds are amazing! You get more than you expect and the campsites are so huge! The pictures don’t do this place justice. Sparrow bend will be our getaway spot. Had to leave early but were sad to go. We will definitely be back! Thank you Angela!

Sparrow Bend is a hidden gem! Angela was an amazing host and the grounds were immaculate. The shower house and toilets were well kept and easily accessible. Riverfront 3 is the closest spot to the river and an absolutely stunning view. There’s no natural shade at this spot so if you come in the heat of summer, bring your own shade! We made use of the firewood that was available, that was very convenient. The sight is pet friendly and we enjoyed being in the river with our two dogs. Will definitely be back!

Our family tent camped at site 1 near the water. We have been here before and we were happy to return! We appreciate how quick the host is to respond to any questions. The kids had fun in the water. The restrooms and property were clean and well maintained. We hope to be back again soon!
