A getaway tucked deep into 44 magical acres of rolling hills. 10 minutes outside of Center Point, Texas. Tucked into the top of a beautiful valley, where hills rule supreme! While on the property spend your time enjoying the rugged trails, bird watching, dark night skies, and the quiet. Don't forget to take advantage of our communal amenities including stock tank pools, sauna and outdoor shower! Currently we have 7 A-frame cabins and RV to rent as well as dispersed camping sites! If you're interested in booking the whole property for your group shoot us a message! *We ask that guests clean up after themselves in the communal spaces during their stay. Allowing all guests to have access to a clean and welcoming space!* SHOWER HOUSE -4 private stalls: Shower + Toilet + Vanity *Dr.Bronner’s body wash will be provided in each shower KITCHEN: -Equipment: 4 burner range + convection oven + refrigerator + freezer + toaster + kettle + pour over cones -Tools: pots and pans + bakeware + measuring tools +cooking utensils + colander + can opener + wine opener -Pantry: olive oil + butter + salt + pepper -Breakfast: Birch Benders pancake mix (gluten free available) + syrup + oatmeal STOCK TANK POOLS -2 8 foot stock tank pools open 24/7 (not heated) -Get your soak on and take in the views! (Found in the first bay of the garage) THE DUGOUT** A covered open air space appointed with twinkle lights and picnic tables. Intended for shaded outdoor hang space. We ask that tent campers cook there if they choose to use their own camp stoves. (Found in the open bay of the garage) The Charmadillo is a great base to explore the area! About an hour from Lost Maples, Garner State Park and Enchanted Rock. About 35 minutes to Hill Country State Natural Area. Various access points to the Guadalupe river via Center Point and Kerrville. With the addition of wineries, honkytonks, and charming bars and restaurants throughout the region.

Step back into the 70s in this charming time capsule! The Charmadillo is a glamping and wellness resort offering different lodging options. You will be in the RV, but we have 7 cabins and tent sites available as well. INSIDE YOUR RV YOU WILL FIND: -Queen size bed + Memory foam mattress above the cab (drivers seat of RV) -Fresh bed linens + Towels + Robes -Drawers and small closet for storage -Glass bottled drinking water -Cups + Plates + Bowls + Silverware -Flashlights + Natural bug zapping spray (made of cedar and peppermint oil) -Portable charging station to charge your phones, etc **PLEASE NOTE: -Your RV does not have running water or a bathroom. The shower house is a couple minute walk away as well as the kitchen where you can find coffee for the morning! RV LOCATION In order to protect the RV from the sun and plug in electric for the temperature regulating window unit, the RV lives under the awning of the large garage. Between a couple of the communal spaces: The Den (lounge with Wifi + games) and the The Dugout (open bay with picnic tables and disco ball). This location is somewhat in the action, but that also means it's pretty close to the kitchen and showers. Tucked deeper into the property lie two flat valleys offering exposed fields as well as shaded groves of cedar and oak. Choose whatever spot speaks to you! Be respectful of other campers space while choosing your spot. Guests will have access to the communal shower house, comprised of 4 private full bath rooms. As well as access to the communal kitchen, pools, sauna, outdoor shower and the den/lounge for any WIFI or game needs. All amenities are a few minutes walk away! You are welcome to explore the property via the rustic trails. You can find coffee, pancake mix, and oatmeal in the kitchen as well! *Fridge/freezer space is reserved for cabin renters. WOW! These vibes are incredible. Blew me out of the water especially for the price of a tent site with yoga studio/game room, 4 private bathrooms, 2 small pools and a sauna, not to mention the full kitchen with free oatmeal and pancakes (cook your own). Also loved the hammock grove that we camped near with plenty of shade from the sun on the left side of the road. She was very friendly and had amazing attention to detail. I’m impressed and will definitely be back to try the A-line cabins. The view was also outstanding.

A Gem in Hill Country

I can’t say enough good things! The coffee, the tea, the views, the robes, the cozy bed. There was nothing that wasn’t intentional and cared for about this stay. It’s private and remote, but well lit and simple to navigate. There’s much to do in the surrounding areas, such as great breakfast in Camp Verde and amazing steaks and specialty stores in Bandera, Texas Salt Co. was our favorite! I told about 5 people back home how awesome our stay at Charmadillo was, and I hope more people find this gem!

I loved the tent areas, they also have cabins and a tipi ⛺️ . It was nice view and the amenities were a great addition to have from the fully equipped kitchen to the pool. I didn’t have a chance to get in the sauna but it’s okay we were there to connect with nature we also saw an armadillo a couple feet’s away.

First of all Sarah the host is incredibly nice and responsive which is a huge help. The property is great for all walks of campers. Facilities were top end… showers, sauna, tubs, kitchen. The property also had a nice hammock section. I went solo camping and the other guests were super welcoming. I would 100% go back by myself or with friends!

FIVE ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had a fantastic stay at The Charmadillo Glamping Resort place! The property was beautifully maintained, and the bathrooms incredibly clean. The sauna was an outstanding reward after a long day of driving. The kitchen was fully equipped and clean. We choose a campsite to boomdock our Transit camper van. The tents sites are a short walk from the amenities building. The gravel path road is nice and compacted. We had some battle scratches on our van's High Roof caused by a few outgrown tree branches on the path to the campsite. High clearance RVs or vans must be aware of this. Sarah was very responsive to our messages and provided excellent direcctions. We can't wait to come back when the weather gets warmer to enjoy this beautiful hidden gem!

Groovy 1978 RV + POOLS

I love everything about this place. I kept telling my boyfriend that I could see how much care and attention the host put into the place. Shower rooms were clean and always at the right temperature (it was very windy and cold during our stay). I love the fully-stocked kitchen with detailed instructions on how things work. She even prepared cups of pancakes mix for us. We just need to pour water in and it’s ready to cook. I just wished that there were more restrooms near our cabin (in addition to 2 nearby) since it was very windy and dark at night. I didn’t want to walk outside to use the bathroom. Anyway, great stay!

Our stay was a great way to kick-off 2025. The land, common areas, and cabin all exceeded our expectations. Thanks, to the host for paying attention to details like providing nice lighting for the cabin and good coffee making equipment (very important!). Don't miss the sauna. We'll be back!

Valley Campsite + POOLS!

The CUTEST and most well kept campsite I’ve ever stayed in. Prices were super reasonable, instructions were super clear and check in was seamless. PLUS, the bathrooms were stellar and shiny and the den and Kitchen had more amenities and entertainment options than I could have ever imagined. The owner Sarah was also incredibly sweet and down to earth. 10/10 would stay again, in fact we want to make it an annual tradition!

I loved staying in the A frame at Sarah’s place! This site is so charming and relaxing. Sarah was super helpful and responsive with anything we needed. Could not recommend this place more. The stars and sunset were unmatched. The best little getaway!

Restoration on the New Moon

A-frame 6 + POOLS @ The Charmadillo

I visited the Charmadillo on Dec 30-31, 2024, to reset nervous system, restore, and reflect on the new year. I brought my adventure cat Rogue (7 year old Siberian Forest Cat). We both had the most tranquil and restorative time on Sarah's land. The top 3 things that stood out to me about our experience were: Dark Skies: The night sky was incredible, and I was greeted by the planet Venus, Jupiter, and other celestial bodies that were abundant and extra bright without moonlight. Thoughtful Touches: The hospitality was excellent with thoughtful layouts (community den, yoga deck, chef friendly kitchen, etc), designerly touches, and clear communication from Sarah. Sauna: The cedar sauna was truly a transformative experience in beauty (exposed beams) and energy. I definitely arrived at the clarity I was seeking. I'm excited to come back often and host wellness and creative retreats in the future! Some considerations for the future: floor cushions in the A-frames for floor seating and meditation, hand dryers in the bathroom for water conservation, and an EV charger.
