Piney Ridge Camp
My friends, my dog, and I had a great time staying at Mariah's campsite. We did not have the chance to explore the property as much as we would have liked since we had plans away from the site, but I would book again to immerse myself further. Mariah and her husband were very accommodating and friendly.

Farm Fresh
We loved our stay at Piney Ridge Camp. There's a fantastic spot for a tent and campfire. There are hikeable trails with gorgeous views. Our kids got to climb up to a rocky overhang just off the path and climb up to a waterfall. (The waterfall had a good volume of water because of recent rains.)
The hosts' hospitality is beyond excellent. Eggs for breakfast, muffins, and even some dry cardboard since drenching rains our first night had made it difficult to get a fire started in the morning. And there's water available right at the campsite, so there's no need to bring large amounts of water.
We were accompanied for much of the time by the host's very friendly and well behaved dog. The kids loved petting and playing with him. He even accompanied us on our hike through the woods.

Piney Ridge Camp
What a beautiful campsite and sweet family! The sunrise this morning was absolutely stunning, and the cliff walls blew my mind. It is a magical place to spend some time.

Piney Ridge Camp
10/10
My friends and I stayed at Piney Ridge to do some tent camping during the Memorial Day weekend and had a great time! We all really enjoyed the property and the campsites. Nice woods to hike in, rock cliffs to check out, creeks, wildlife, farm animals, you name it. It was wonderful! Just a short, scenic drive to Cave Run. Very highly recommended!

Piney Ridge Camp
Highly recommend !!! You gotta go!
I just can’t say enough about the hospitality of this place, as well as the absolute beauty and peacefulness of the property. I picked this place to go on a camping trip alone to have a mental reset and just unplug. I read all the good reviews and wanted a place that was safe since I was a female camping alone, but also dispersed and primitive and not some cheesy RV campground. I have been to the gorge 25 times or more and decided to venture out. This was only a two hour drive from my home in Northern KY and very easy to find. The drive through rolling country fields in the sunshine was majestic itself. I was greeted immediately by Jamie who was so kind and welcoming. He showed me around the property and even later brought me some water and container to help myself to fresh eggs from their farm! He knew so much about the land and when he told me that he goes in the woods to talk to Gos, I knew I had been led to the right spot because that was exactly what I needed. His son Christian came by later and brought me a map of trails and told me where I could find cliffs with overlooks and cab and rock houses on the property. Unfortunately rain came and I had to cut my trip short but I plan to come back this summer with some girls and have another retreat. The night sounds were glorious, firewood was cut and in plentitude all around, there is a portalet and water spigot up the hill closer to the farm which helps if you are staying multiple days. Go see it! It was heaven!

Piney Ridge Camp
Great camping experience
We had the BEST stay! The land was beautiful, the hosts were super helpful and inviting (they showed us at least three campsites and let us choose where we wanted to stay) and our kids loved seeing all the animals. It was quiet, well kept and convenient to Cave Run Lake/Morehead area. I really appreciated the ‘primitive’ vibe of the camp area while still having access to a water spigot. Loved it and would highly recommend!
