Small family run private farm. A few primitive camp sites back by the lake. We do have an emergency case bathroom with shower at the barn by the entrance for use by guests. A portajon back by the lake. please message if you have any questions. We took a little break but are back. NOT SURE WHY IT SAYS THERE US A FIRE BAN. I’ve turned the fire ban off. FIRES ALLOWED AT CAMP SITE FIRE PIT. I’ve tried to edit and on my end it shows fire ban off. But so many campers have told me they thought there was a ban.

Fishing is allowed, but is currently limited to catch and release in the lake. This varies dependent on the health and abundance of fish. Porta John's are available during peak camping season. All are located directly next to Site 1 and the community area. We will reach out on the day of check-in to inquire about your ETA. Once you arrive, you'll need to contact us to open the gate. Check-in is at 2pm and check-out is at 12pm. If you'd like to enjoy the property prior to or after your stay on the day of, we do offer day passes. We stayed at site 7. We weren't planning in camping, just wanted a nice quiet place to have a fire, cook dinner and watch the sunset from a pillow lined truck bed. It couldn't have gone better. Highly recommend!!

An Idyllic Campsite

We spent an idyllic week at this campsite and cannot recommend it enough! Lori's hospitality was exceptional. We were led back to our campsite, which was truly private. They sold us firewood bundles which were big, dry, and inexpensive. There was enough space for three tents, a little kitchen setup, two cars, four humans, two dogs, and a considerable amount of gear. If you book this site, you're RIGHT at the water and at the dock, so you can go from pajamas to swimming in no time at all (which we did...every morning). Kayaks, large foam floating water pads, and a peddle boat are all available for guests to use, free of charge. There are both shaded and sunny spots at this site, and we were able to comfortably move our camping chairs around during the day to ensure that we could always lounge in the shade. When the portajohn is seasonally available, you're right nearby so this site is great for anyone who worries about nighttime bathroom trips. Kentucky is humid and buggy in July so prepare accordingly! Spending time in the water is a delightful escape on extremely sticky days. Do regular tick checks and keep an eye out for poison ivy in the small wooded area. Kentucky is full of charm and everyone we encountered was incredibly welcoming. On the one day we had thunderstorms, we were all welcomed at Maiden City Brewing (including the pups!) and happily rode out the storm with good food and good beer in a great atmosphere. TLDR: This spot is AMAZING and we'll be back soon!

The site was clean and right next to the lake but there weren’t many bugs during the day. The lake is very popular and there were 35 people around the dock area on the day we visited. There were also many fisherman that came by our lake access throughout the day to fish. There were also farmers access the field down the road from the site throughout the day. So all that being said it wasn’t as secluded of a spot as we thought it would be but we had fun.

Nice and private camp site with a lovely view of the lake! Our kids had a ton of fun fishing and kayaking. We were able to buy firewood there, which was helpful and we had a nice campfire! We'll definitely be back!

My family and I always enjoy our stay at the Hidden Lake Farm. Lori’s land is so beautiful and perfect for connecting as a family and playing! I personally love paddling on the water or watching my kids play on the lily pad. Site 1 is right by the porta potty, lots of shades, and right by the water. We look forward to coming back again in the future!

This was our first time using Hipcamp, and boy did we knock it out of the park!! What a beautiful property and camp area! The host, Lori, was very easy to work with and very accommodating. First visit to the property gets you a personal escort back to your site - and it's a looong way back! Nestled around a medium sized pond are several campsites that are very private. We stayed in site 1 for an overnight to our destination and are looking to make it a destination next year. We have a 20' off-road trailer that made the trip easily, but I'm not so sure about single axle campers or nervous drivers. Site 1 is kind of split into 2 areas. You can camp with a lake view if you have a tent or car/camper van. We had to set up around the other side, so we could not see the lake but it was very private. Still a very short walk to the fire ring and picnic table that was by the lake. There is a dock and Lori provides kayaks, canoes, a paddle boat and life jackets to use at no additional cost. Bugs and mosquitos were not a huge problem when we were there, most likely due to the frogs and turtle population. Campsites are grass and were well maintained. In all, this is a very beautiful property and I would highly recommend it again!

Wow! An Amazing Stay!

We had an amazing stay in site 7 at Hidden Lake Farm. We were in a Class A motorhome 35’ which made it down the dirt road with no problems. The site is perched higher above the lake which gave for a wonderful 360 degree view and sunset. Lori had a paddle boat, several kayaks, and a Lilly pad for us to enjoy on the lake which was a huge bonus. The farm was so peaceful and quiet and the privacy made our stay so enjoyable. It is conveniently located close to town and major attractions. We have traveled to 24 states so far in our RV and visited more than 100 campgrounds/boondocking sites and Hidden Lake Farm is our favorite to date!

I had an amazing time at Hidden Lake. Lori was an excellent host with timely communication. The property is beautiful and peaceful. The sites are well maintained and diverse, offering a quieter stay by the ponds or more activity by the lake. The boats available for guest use were a nice touch. Looking forward to the next visit!

What an excellent spot to camp. The entire area was exceptionally maintained, which is a huge task for such a large property. The campsite was flat and had plenty of shade. Fishing was excellent and my son loved the paddle boat. I would definitely recommend this site to anyone.

We had the best time camping here! The property was breath taking and the host was welcoming, helpful, and always quick to reply. The camp site was very spacious and well kept. We attended an event in Lexington and this location was perfect - the host even let us stay a couple extra hours due to our event starting later. I absolutely recommend staying here and we hope to be back soon (:

Most beautiful camp site I've ever stayed at, loved the farm land and the lake. She even provides boats for guests to explore the lake with. On top of it all I didn't see a single mosquito while I was there, however there where plenty of ticks to keep us company. Overall loved the site and especially loved the campground, I would for sure stay here again.

I came here to car camp in my Jeep and I will say this was an amazing experience. Lori greeted us right at the gate. She was nothing but kind, communicative, and accommodating ! Me and my sister were able to enjoy the lake with swimming as well as using the equipment available on site Very laid back and peaceful place to be . I’ll definitely be back again !!!

This place is a little slice of heaven. Lori and her family are so kind and accommodating, they take great care of the area and even provide a few kayaks and paddle boat to enjoy the lake with. We fell in love and already can’t wait to come back and stay even longer!

The farm is a beautiful piece of property. It has a really nice lake and our campsite was right next to the lake. Lori was our hostess and she was great. She met us at the main gate and showed us around. She then got in her truck and we followed her all the way to our campsite. We purchased some firewood from her and she had it delivered right to our campsite. Lori made us feel at home. The lake is my favorite part because I like to fish. The lake was bigger than I expected and was very scenic. We caught several bass during our trip. I really liked this farm and will definitely come back.
