One of my favorite camping trips I've ever taken with Hipcamp! The host was the most accommodating and gracious host I've ever had, full stop. The property is gorgeous and the sites are spread out enough that it feels secluded and private. The facilities that were available were clean and stocked. Everything was 5 star worthy!

We had a fantastic time camping at this 60-acre family land. We stayed at site #1 by the lake, which came with a fire pit, a kayak, a picnic tables, and a porta-can for convenience. The clear night sky was perfect for stargazing, and we enjoyed kayaking in the morning hours. The site is close to the main road, so you might hear some passing vehicles, but it wasn’t a big issue for us.
The host was wonderful—an incredibly friendly lady who went out of her way to make our stay comfortable. Her granddaughter provided firewood and a grilling rack, adding to the convenience. The host even helped one of our friends reach the site with her buggy and joined us for dinner, bringing sushi and delicious star-shaped pastries!
We would definitely come back!

Lori and her team of helpers were just fantastic. Had everything one could need, and if you’re so inclined to want more, simply ask and she shall deliver. Site 4 had great privacy, multiple places to situate yourself, and an unbelievable view of the stars. Lots of firewood available if you are willing to search the grounds, but Lori’s team will happily bring you more should it be needed. Thanks for everything! Will be back as soon as possible.

Our family had the most fun ever this weekend! Definitely awesome hosts/owners! Great fishing and for families it’s primitive but very doable. Bring you a camp potty and privacy option. Kids keep an eye on them 100%! The owner is aware however and helped us so much with explaining boundaries to our two. We would love to go back and it’s 30 mins from Lexington! Best bonding time in a long while!

Truly exceptional camping spot on a beautiful farm with rolling hills, a huge private lake, and adorable farm critters as you journey toward the sites. The fishing was fun, rentals and add-one were convenient, and Lori and her kids were super helpful and accommodating. Would definitely stay again.

semi primitive private site with a great view of the lake and lots of shade. we were two families with two 4-person tents and two shelters and we were comfortable with the space but that’s about as much as you could probably fit. lori was great and delivered firewood and supplies by text. kids had a blast at the lake. you definitely want to bring a water container because it’s about a mile to the spigot.

This land is stunningly beautiful. Wildflowers everywhere, rolling green hills, the chirping of birds and cicadas, plus the sparkling blue lake tucked away in the back! The campsites are well groomed and cozy. And Lori was the sweetest and most helpful host! I can't imagine a better place to stay. Highly recommend 10/10.

We usually like primitive camping, where it's just us and nature. This site isn't quite that because of its proximity to the lake that other guests are using. However, we thoroughly enjoyed it. It offered reasonable seclusion in addition to woods to hike through, forage firewood from, etc. The kids enjoyed the boats a lot. We would definitely recommend and would consider coming again.

This place is absolutely ADORABLE!! The lake is huge and there was so much to explore. We camped in our van at Site 3 and it was perfect!! Quiet and secluded, yet right on the lake! We took an early morning canoe ride in one of the provided canoes and it was the perfect start to our day. We will definitely be back!

We came to Lori's land to camp. It was my 10 year olds first time camping. I accidentally reserved a spot that you have to hike to get there. Lori being a great host knew that we had entirely to much stuff for myself and a 10 year old to hike with, so she showed us another spot that we could drive up to and camp. It was perfect, he had the best time here. The property is huge and so beautiful. We saw so many spots we want to come back and camp at. Lori was so nice and accommodating. She runs a great place and obviously works very hard to make it a memorable experience for all. Thanks again Lori!

Such an easy spot. Grassy and open but still felt private enough. We arrived after dark and left early to avoid a storm. We’ll have to come back to to actually enjoy the lake next time!

The farm is beautiful. The campsite itself was immaculate. The couple of questions that I had were answered quickly and overall communication was excellent. We’re Already planning a return trip with a larger group. I could not recommend it enough.

Camping here was an amazing experience! The owners were super helpful and very kind. They were understanding and fast at responding if we had any questions. I loved fishing and swimming in the lake there. I would definitely recommend this camping ground to anyone wanting to go camping for a good price with family and friends!

We adored the private camping area right next to the lake, it allowed our dogs to swim and have fun outdoors and off leash in a way that’s not available at every camp site. 10/10 would recommend!

Wonderful stay! Very beautiful and private came site. Our pup loves having the space to run and we loved having the feeling of backcountry camping rather than a campground. We would definitely recommend, and will likely be back!!

Had a great time with my boys. Private campsite was set back far enough to enjoy the quiet, but close enough to the large pond to not have to hike too far. Boys enjoyed the swimming and fishing, and Lori was very hospitable, reaching out to make sure we had everything we needed. Will definitely recommend to others in the future, and we will definitely be back in the future.

This was probably the best hipcamp I’ve camped at. It was very secluded and well maintained. We tent camped at sight three and loved the shade and how close it was to the lake. Firewood was brought right to our campsite when requested which is a luxury I’ve never experienced while camping.
We got to listen to screech owls each night that must live right next to the lake. Coyotes howled all around us every night. Despite being close to a lake, mosquitos were not too big of a problem.
The only issue we had while camping that is pretty unavoidable but I hope other campers are aware of is that we took a small walk along the drive around site three and returned covered in about a hundred small pin sized ticks. We spent hours picking them off of us and we only walked about 15 minutes. We must have brushed up against something but they were crawling up from our shoes. After that incident we were tick free the rest of the trip so we narrowed down the problem to the walk.

Stayed in campsite 9. It is shaded and sits on the lake. Two things to be aware of are that it is a smaller site and it slants to the lake. Those were not issues for me at all. Everything else was great. Nice and peaceful and my son really enjoyed fishing.
