We are renting out our gorgeous river property located on the Chippewa River in Exeland, WI!! Our 5-acre property is equipped with electricity and power pedestals for multiple RVs, lots of space for outdoor games, a campfire area surrounded by string lights, and newly-constructed steps down to the river. There is a deep swimming hole out in front of the property, great for fishing too, and a boat landing across the river for putting in kayaks and fishing boats. Right off our river bank, we have caught muskys, catfish, smallmouth bass, and northern. We have four kayaks and two paddleboards included with the rental and firewood. There is also direct ATV and UTV access from County Highway Rd D to multiple trails heading towards the Blue Hills and endless trails heading to the UP. In 2024, we added a new gravel camper parking area that can accommodate 4 campers (30-amp hookups each), as well as (2) 30-amp hookups in the grassy part of the site. This was my father's favorite place to be in the summer. He loved watching the hummingbirds early in the season and the leaf turn in the fall. We hope you and your guests will enjoy staying here as much as our family has. Five acre private lakefront property surrounded by trees. Cement pad for your RV or trailer. 50-amp and full hookups. Bring your own converter if less than 30 amps. Large fire pit (supply your own firewood). Recently refurbished private dock. Four-wheel trails and rental companies nearby. Short drive from the Namekagon River which is great for tubing, kayaking, canoeing, and swimming. Due to a recent review, I am also adding here that swimming from our property is not ideal. The lake tends to be weedy during warm summers. There are places to swim nearby, so if you are booking with the sole intent of being able to swim, please be aware that this is likely not the best site for you unless you are willing to drive to a nearby beach.

Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, what a unique name and deservedly so as the forest itself is as diverse and attention getting as it’s namesake! The deep northwoods of Wisconsin offers a ton of hiking, biking, and camping to get stoked about; there’s 800 miles of hiking trails alone. But if you’re looking for a truly unique outdoor experience, try offroading or cross country skiing old military roads in the winter. There’s stunning Lake Superior views from St. Peter’s Dome and 70 foot Morgan Falls is sure to cool you off on a hot summer day. We dig the Quartz Trail where you can see giant quartz deposits discovered by the Native Americans who used to inhabit the area. There’s plenty of camping options to make this a wilderness weekend (or more) and with over 1.5 million acres to explore, we doubt you’ll be running out of rad things to discover!

Also known as the Hershey Homestead, our property is home to what we like to call the funny farm. We have lots of kids and all of them are involved in 4h so that means we have lots of animals. Chickens, ducks, geese, peacocks, goats, sheep, pigs, beef, and horses each have a home here as well as dogs and cats. It's rarely quiet but the chorus of sounds you hear can be an interesting mix of the mating calls of the peacocks to the mooing of the cows to the howls of coyotes at night. (And maybe some of our seven kids playing outside ). As a camper on our property, you are welcome to explore the homestead at your leisure and take in the sights and smells of the farm. We also have several ponds that bring in an array of wildlife that can be great for bird watching or maybe even catching a few bluegills. We have a new couple of bald eagles that built a nest in a towering white pine along the shore of the big pond, providing opportunities for eagle sightings and photography. There are multiple trails throughout the property available for hiking as well We are a 1/4 mile from the lake of Shell Lake which has one of the nicest public beaches in northern WI and there are lots of eating and shopping options within a short distance in all directions. We like to say that we live in the country with the convenience of city amenities only a hop skip and a jump away.

17. Sweeny Creek Glamping

Looking for a quiet, peaceful, romantic getaway? You found it! Sit by the campfire, relax in the hammock, watch the stars twinkle, and listen to the sounds of the night. The canvas tent is located at the back of our 200-acre organic, regenerative dairy farm. It's tucked among the pines and birch trees at the edge of a steep embankment overlooking Sweeny Creek. Our one-of-a-kind A-frame canvas tent was hand-built by us. Tie back the screened canvas window for a true close-to-nature experience. A queen-size mattress ensures a comfortable night's sleep (it's a real mattress, not an air mattress). Solar lights automatically turn on at dusk. We don't like spiders or mice any more than you do, and we do our best to keep them out. However, you're immersed in their natural habitat, so don't be surprised if you spot a few. Your private rustic outdoor toilet is located just a short walk from the tent (about 50 feet away). Soft solar twinkle lights, strung through the branches above, turn on automatically at dusk. Mosquitoes are typically minimal. We're here to make your stay as memorable and enjoyable as possible. If you need anything or have questions, just holler! We'll provide you with a map of the farm, and you're welcome to explore the deer trails, woods, and ravines. Please be respectful of the birch bark. :) The following items are provided at your campsite: • Soft linen duvet with a warm wool comforter • Pillows • Flannel sheets • Extra blankets • Dry firewood • Hatchet • Lighter • Kindling • Cooler with ice • Hamburger grate for the fire pit • Camp chairs • Toilet paper • Kettle for heating water • Roasting sticks • Paper towels • Towels and rags • Bug and tick repellent • One of our exclusive tick bite kits Included and available for pickup at the Farmhouse (a wagon is provided): • Bottled water • 10 gallons of potable water • Hand sanitizer • Dishes and silverware • Cast-iron griddle and frying pan • French press and coffee • Salt and pepper • Cutting board and knife • Cooking oil • Dish soap • A small basket of fresh organic eggs from our hens • Coffee cake • S'mores supplies Also included with your stay: • Unlimited Wi-Fi on the Farmhouse porch • Homemade ice cream at the Farmhouse and a farm tour—just let us know when you'd like to enjoy them!

We are a regenerative grass-fed, grass finished beef cattle and pasture raised pork farm in Hertel, WI. We also have chickens (and eggs!), goats, and horses. We raise Scottish Highland beef and Gloucester Old Spot hogs. Our passion is providing nutritious, humanely, and sustainably raised beef, pork and eggs to our local customers and their families. We are a mother-daughter team restoring our land back to healthy pasture land through the use of rotational grazing and healthy animal impact. Although we have been raising Scottish Highland cattle since 2016, we moved to our farm in Hertel, WI in 2020. We have since added perimeter and interior fencing, all-season water sources, and summer water lines in order to improve our rotational grazing practices. We are conveniently located between Siren and Spooner and not far from Superior and Hayward. We are also not far from ATV and snowmobile trails, St. Croix Casino and lots of good bars and restaurants. You will have amazing views of the land as you come up the 1/2 mile driveway to the farm house and from the farm house porch where you will be staying.

This is a site tucked in amongst our back forest of white pines and birch trees about 35' from the back lake called Bass Lake. The lake is suitable for canoeing, kayaking and fishing. It connects with another lake in the Southwest corner of the lake. It is easy to back in your RV to the spot under the trees. There are no hookups and no fresh water. It's just one site near the lake. The driveway is an easement that runs from Bertram Road across my neighbor's property and continues on past my property to the next two properties. There is hardly any vehicles that use it and it provides nice access to the camp site.
