(This is a leave no trace site. You must take all of your garbage with you!) Just 1.5 hours from Seattle, Portland, Mt. Rainier, Mt. St. Helens, & Olympic National Park, just 3 minutes from Rainbow Falls State Park and 4 minutes from Willapa Biking Trail! We are located on top of Bunker Hill nestled between the Dunn creek and Chehalis river. Our property is 56 acres of mixed biomes including multi-generational forests, open meadows, and creek side trails. We are located right off Chandler Road, off of Highway 6. You turn onto Labri road (white sign) and you're on the property after going through a gate. Meander down the road past a red barn and several buildings on your right. Through the second gate, the dispersed camping site offers various sites for camping attached to a main trail that parallels the Dunn creek down to the Chehalis river. They are conveniently accessible off the logging roads which cross with Labri road after you've passed through the second gate. If you take the logging road to the left (look for a blue and white ribbon) you will come up to a tree line where you can park (another blue and white ribbon) and either take the trail to the left or right where you will find ample places to camp. You may camp along the trail or closer to the creek. The most ideal spot is right after you park near the blue and white ribbon if you walk North you'll see a site marked with an orange and white ribbon. This site has easy access to the creek but is still on a hill. There are four RV spots with full onsite hook-up. Two of the RV sites are paved and lit with ground lights and are prioritized for heavier rigs. The other two sites are on grass. We have two RV sites with no hook up (boondocking) but bathroom and shower access. We do not allow dumping of grey water or sewage at our property but there is a dump station just 1 minute away at Rainbow Falls State Park. The site is located on a hill so you get very nice view of sunsets and sunrises. For those who enjoy bird watching the nearby fruit trees bring in many birds. We are an ideal location for those who love the outdoors or just want to have private family events. 6 mi from Jones Creek Brewing, 7 mi from Evey's Cafe & Pe Ell, 20 mi from I-5, 69 mi Westport Quiet hours are from 11pm - 8am.

Campfire Tale: The Legend of John Tornow "The Wildman of the Wynooche." More than a century ago, the forests around Travers Mountain were home to one of Washington’s most mysterious figures — John Tornow, the Wildman of the Wynooche. Born in 1880, Tornow grew up as a gifted woodsman and hunter. He was known for his uncanny ability to move silently through the timber, living off the land with the skill of someone more animal than man. But his story turned dark after the tragic deaths of his nephews, the Bauer twins, whose family homestead you can still see from our property. Accused of their killings, Tornow fled deep into the wilderness. For nearly two years, he evaded every search party and posse that hunted him. Locals whispered that he was impossible to track — some even swore he could vanish into the trees like a ghost. He became both feared and respected, remembered as part outlaw, part legend. The tale ends in 1913, when a massive manhunt cornered Tornow in the woods. Even then, he fought fiercely, leaving his mark on Grays Harbor history forever. So when you camp here whether its under the trees-at Tornow’s Timberline, perched high at Outlaw’s Overlook, or gathered by the fire at Wildman’s Saloon Stop — listen closely to the night sounds. Awesome location near everything in Quinault. Received a fun, short tour of the property from our hosts who are incredibly nice. The campsite was tidy and exactly what we imagined. Plenty of room between us and our neighbors, and we barely knew that they were there. The outhouse is basic but clean and charming. Imagine the friendliness of staying at a distant cousin's organic farm, with the facilities of a top-notch campsite. Only regret was that we were crashing there quickly, and weren't able to stay longer and relax on-site. This is NOT offered through our Hip Camp site!!!!! There are reasons for this: When we initially opened, we allowed people to camp there through Hip Camp and I was getting low stars ratings because Entitled people thought for $28 bucks, they got the whole river to themselves and would fight with other campers. IT JUST GOT TO EXHAUSTING. In the coming years I’m going to try to set up some premium sites on the river and work super hard at getting amenities that will match that price. But for now, Enjoy Camp Hope and the river ACCESS too!! Merriman Creek is nestled under a canopy of old growth Maple Trees next to our Nightly Rental, The River's Edge, on the South Shore of Lake Quinault. At the request of our nightly rental customers, we have added secluded dry camping sites for our guests and for those wanting to enjoy the Lake Quinault area. Due to USFS Campground closures and high demand, we are happy to provide a place for campers to spend a night or two as they enjoy Lake Quinault. The Hipcamp location is approx 100 yards away from our Rental House and it is secluded and provided. Preferably this is a walk-in tent site Hipcamp, but if the weather is dry, you may drive in with your car or camper van. Please be mindful of other campers as this is an open field nestled under old growth Maple Trees. Quiet Hours and respectful camping etiquette should be followed. We have a communal fire pit in the middle of the 3 acre parcel, 7 sites in total and a clean and new Porta-Potty toilet. There is no water on site so please bring your own water. You may also bring your own portable propane fire pit should you wish not to use the communal fire pit. We hope this description helps! Site 1 is best suited for a camper van. Everyone must pass by this site to get to the other sites. SIte 1 is also closest to the Porta Potty. Site 5 and 6 are in the very back of the property and might be best if you are camping with another family. Site 7 is closest to the fire pit. One tent per space please. You are welcome to message the Host for any questions, we are very accommodating and can also help you plan your trip and advise on things to do. We also have a brand new cabin 1/2 mile up the Valley from our Merriman Creek Hipcamp that also can be rented through the Hipcamp Platform.

Campfire Tale: The Legend of John Tornow "The Wildman of the Wynooche." More than a century ago, the forests around Travers Mountain were home to one of Washington’s most mysterious figures — John Tornow, the Wildman of the Wynooche. Born in 1880, Tornow grew up as a gifted woodsman and hunter. He was known for his uncanny ability to move silently through the timber, living off the land with the skill of someone more animal than man. But his story turned dark after the tragic deaths of his nephews, the Bauer twins, whose family homestead you can still see from our property. Accused of their killings, Tornow fled deep into the wilderness. For nearly two years, he evaded every search party and posse that hunted him. Locals whispered that he was impossible to track — some even swore he could vanish into the trees like a ghost. He became both feared and respected, remembered as part outlaw, part legend. The tale ends in 1913, when a massive manhunt cornered Tornow in the woods. Even then, he fought fiercely, leaving his mark on Grays Harbor history forever. So when you camp here whether its under the trees-at Tornow’s Timberline, perched high at Outlaw’s Overlook, or gathered by the fire at Wildman’s Saloon Stop — listen closely to the night sounds. Imagine the friendliness of staying at a distant cousin's organic farm, with the facilities of a top-notch campsite. Only regret was that we were crashing there quickly, and weren't able to stay longer and relax on-site. There are reasons for this: When we initially opened, we allowed people to camp there through Hip Camp and I was getting low stars ratings because Entitled people thought for $28 bucks, they got the whole river to themselves and would fight with other campers. IT JUST GOT TO EXHAUSTING. In the coming years I’m going to try to set up some premium sites on the river and work super hard at getting amenities that will match that price. But for now, Enjoy Camp Hope and the river ACCESS too!! Merriman Creek is nestled under a canopy of old growth Maple Trees next to our Nightly Rental, The River's Edge, on the South Shore of Lake Quinault. At the request of our nightly rental customers, we have added secluded dry camping sites for our guests and for those wanting to enjoy the Lake Quinault area. Due to USFS Campground closures and high demand, we are happy to provide a place for campers to spend a night or two as they enjoy Lake Quinault. The Hipcamp location is approx 100 yards away from our Rental House and it is secluded and provided. Preferably this is a walk-in tent site Hipcamp, but if the weather is dry, you may drive in with your car or camper van. Please be mindful of other campers as this is an open field nestled under old growth Maple Trees. Quiet Hours and respectful camping etiquette should be followed. We have a communal fire pit in the middle of the 3 acre parcel, 7 sites in total and a clean and new Porta-Potty toilet. There is no water on site so please bring your own water. You may also bring your own portable propane fire pit should you wish not to use the communal fire pit. We hope this description helps! Site 1 is best suited for a camper van. Everyone must pass by this site to get to the other sites. SIte 1 is also closest to the Porta Potty. Site 5 and 6 are in the very back of the property and might be best if you are camping with another family. Site 7 is closest to the fire pit. One tent per space please. You are welcome to message the Host for any questions, we are very accommodating and can also help you plan your trip and advise on things to do. We also have a brand new cabin 1/2 mile up the Valley from our Merriman Creek Hipcamp that also can be rented through the Hipcamp Platform.

Family property for almost 70 years. Town was known as Carlisle in the late 1800's to early 1940's. Located on the Carlisle Gardens Road. Private 30 acres with 100+ blueberry bushes. Great property for a nature walk. Seasonal plants. Harrier Falcon, Eagles, Turkey Vultures, Barn Owls, White Owls, Grouse just to name a few of the birds around. An occassional rabbit or 2. Learn more about this land: Grassy tent site next to Ida M's Blueberry Row. Mainly a quiet piece of property surrounded by nature. Hummingbirds and butterflies. Fire pit, picnic table, solar lights, clean drinking water, and trash bin. Short walk to Port a Potty. 9 miles from Pacific Beach and Seabrook. We do live on the property, located on the other side of the blueberry rows, across the driveway with our 3 labrador retrievers and chickens. There is also a swing set, jungle gym, and a horse shoe pit. You will be seeing my husband and I come and go while staying here, also other family and friends that visit. So if you are looking for a completely private place, staying here would not meet your expectations.

Tent camped here off season for a couple days of hunting. Nice campground especially for the price as long as you don’t need a power pole which I don’t. Will camp here again! Especially appreciate the firewood program of wood provided just pay for it with a QR code via PayPal if you didn’t bring your own.

We had a fantastic stay! The location was perfect for the activities we had planned. The directions and arrival instructions were simple and the hosts made us feel right at home. The setting is just beautiful and we frequently saw deer in the meadow that the site overlooks.

Weekend Trip to The Rock On The Columbia
The view is unbeatable. The hwy noise make a little less peaceful, but a great location to hit the spots of Cape Disappointment and Astoria. I found it amusing that is in the presumed location of Lewis and Clark's "Dismal Niche" where there were trapped for several days before completing their journey to the mouth of the Columbia. It was far from dismal for me.

Definitely a must camp here! End of September so everyone just had been there for fishing season. Pretty much had the place to ourself. Everyone here is so welcoming and kind, we had full hook ups a few steps away from river and lots of land to have peaceful hikes. There a little house with just a full kitchen, washer and dryer and bathrooms even with a shower. A quick 35min drive from Astoria which we spent one of our days at. The lady assisting the owner was so kind to give my kids a golf cart tour of the dry camping area and were the walking trails are at. They loved it!!! Everything very well managed and cared for here. I do like to be able to drop trash instead of haul it back but not a deal breaker we will definitely be back.

Lovely campsite, river access is a nice walk away. Train tracks run along the back of the campground but wasn’t loud enough for it to be a problem. We would definitely be coming back next year. My only concern was the shooting that was happening off the river bank towards the evening, they left after a while but not something I’d want near us. Bathrooms were located all around the campground and very easy check in.

We've driven past the gate so many times on the way to Long Beach, and I always thought it was the perfect little piece of property for a camper or campout. I was right! What a perfect spot, especially if you're into watching boats or fishing. Right on the water, clean spot, power...perfect for vans, tents, small trailers. We have a cabover camper and fit great. You will need to have some driving skills to get situated just right, but completely worth it. The traffic noise wasn't an issue, just cars and trucks. Not anyworse than a NFS road. Aa a matter of fact, we loved it so much, we booked for next weekend too!

Perfection. Mark is a great host and I enjoyed chatting with him. This location is perfect for my needs and I recommend anyone fishing the Columbia to consider camping here. There is more than enough room for a boat to turn around. It's quiet and very accessible. There is also corn hole!
