Homesteaders came here in 1890, prior to that there was no human habitation. A perfect base camp to explore the many varied facets of the West side of the Olympic Peninsula. The campsites are on acreage of a very small off-grid farm. Relax and forget the stress. There are 6 tent sites and 2 small RV sites. Toilets are available, as well as trash bins, potable water, and picnic tables. We do not allow pets. Guests love staying here: "This spot was everything we were hoping for and more! Awesome location near everything in Quinault. Received a fun, short tour of the property from our hosts who are incredibly nice. The campsite was tidy and exactly what we imagined. Plenty of room between us and our neighbors, and we barely knew that they were there. The outhouse is basic but clean and charming. Imagine the friendliness of staying at a distant cousin's organic farm, with the facilities of a top-notch campsite. Only regret was that we were crashing there quickly, and weren't able to stay longer and relax on-site. This is a camping location with ACCESS to the river, access to OUR farm land, ponds and DNR land. Our camp spots are private and not stacked on top of each other. Also gas and groceries are close as well. Boat launch is about 1/2 a block easy access. There is talk about sites at the river, we have some in their premature stage. This is NOT offered through our Hip Camp site!!!!! There are reasons for this: When we initially opened, we allowed people to camp there through Hip Camp and I was getting low stars ratings because Entitled people thought for $28 bucks, they got the whole river to themselves and would fight with other campers. IT JUST GOT TO EXHAUSTING. In the coming years I’m going to try to set up some premium sites on the river and work super hard at getting amenities that will match that price. But for now, Enjoy Camp Hope and the river ACCESS too!! Eight years ago I bought this property, cleaned it up and changed an old local 1930s grocery store into my pottery studio. I continue to try to be a good steward to this little piece of land with very big trees. One side faces my studio with drive through access to a bunkhouse and hookups and the other is tent camping with room to explore. With a dog yard available you will be able to relax and enjoy. Learn more about this land: Part meadow part stand of very tall trees, over 70 years old with birds, hummingbirds, deer. Choose to camp there or in a wheelchair excessable drive next to a 1940 era grocery store that is now my pottery studio. A large bunkhouse is also on site in case of rain, if not rented. Tent camped here off season for a couple days of hunting. Nice campground especially for the price as long as you don’t need a power pole which I don’t. Will camp here again! Especially appreciate the firewood program of wood provided just pay for it with a QR code via PayPal if you didn’t bring your own.

The campground was in a beautiful corner of the earth and owned by a kind, friendly couple. The campsite felt private and had it all; a bench, water, a fire pit and a tent platform. We enjoyed cooking in the communal kitchen with a wood stove. I highly recommend!

Lovely campsite, river access is a nice walk away. Train tracks run along the back of the campground but wasn’t loud enough for it to be a problem. We would definitely be coming back next year. My only concern was the shooting that was happening off the river bank towards the evening, they left after a while but not something I’d want near us. Bathrooms were located all around the campground and very easy check in.

Wonderful little spot north of Hoquiam! Sandy was very friendly and accommodating . I was the only one there when I went. The spot is near a road but it wasn’t too loud, it was quite peaceful at night!

We enjoyed our campsite and the communal spaces provided by the host. Our nights were quiet, but we still enjoyed the hoot of an occasional owl. A mist-covered mountain is a great view with a morning coffee. The property location is perfect for enjoying nearby hiking trails.
