Learn more about this land:Come camp along Jones Creek on our 10 acre family farm which is also home to Jones Creek Brewing, yes you read that right, a hip camp with a brewery on site. The two campsites along our creek are nestled away from the house and even further from our dead end road and perfect for backpackers and bikepackers. We also have a gas and charcoal grill available for use at our brewery. Bathroom is available during business hours. If booking during non-business hours for the brewery, you may pick up items to-go by appointment. Brewery hours are Friday from 4pm-8pm, Saturday from 12pm-8pm and Sunday from 12pm-6pm. There are many great outdoor activities nearby including the Willapa Hills Trail, which runs 56 miles from the city of South Bend along the Willapa Bay to the city of Chehalis. Rainbow Falls State Park is 6 miles from our property and has wonderful access to the Chehalis River and great hiking trails in a beautiful old growth forest.+ This is a Leave No Trace location. + Please pack out all trash and human waste.+ Masks or facial coverings are REQUIRED for everyone while inside the brewery tasting room and restroom regardless of vaccination status. We are located on top of Bunker Hill nestled between the Dunn creek and Chehalis river. Our property is 56 acres of mixed biomes including multi-generational forests, open meadows, and creek side trails.
There are four RV spots with full onsite hook-up. Two of the RV sites are paved and lit with ground lights and are prioritized for heavier rigs. The other two sites are on grass. We have two RV that are dry camping gravel sites with bathroom and shower access. We do not allow dumping of grey water or sewage at our property but there is a dump station just 1 minute away at Rainbow Falls State Park.
We are an ideal location for those who love the outdoors or just want to have private family events.

Our guests love the near-by swimming hole, shared fire areas, fresh produce and clean outhouses. Meeting the farm animals, napping in the hammocks, mastering the rope swing and wandering the many paths are also memory-makers. Some of our "extras" -- Farm Tours, Propane Firebowls, Saunas, and more -- are available for purchase when you make your booking.
ALL SITES have flat tent spots, a picnic table, hammock, sun, shade, outhouse access and room to park. Sites are 300 feet apart, on average. Once a working farm, Grey Owl Hollow sat fallow for over 20 years.
In 2017, Seth left the corporate world and he and Yvonne dedicated themselves to the stewardship of this charming locale.
The densely planted lumber forest was trimmed and thinned, allowing deer and other wildlife migration while providing shady campsites for nature lovers.

We are about 45 minutes from ocean beaches, only a few minutes from the best riding, hiking and boating in the world. We have a cute bar and restaurant within a mile. Also gas and groceries are close as well. Boat launch is about 1/2 a block easy access.
There is talk about sites at the river, we have some in their premature stage. This is NOT offered through our Hip Camp site!!!!! There are reasons for this: When we initially opened, we allowed people to camp there through Hip Camp and I was getting low stars ratings because Entitled people thought for $28 bucks, they got the whole river to themselves and would fight with other campers. IT JUST GOT TO EXHAUSTING. In the coming years I’m going to try to set up some premium sites on the river and work super hard at getting amenities that will match that price. But for now, Enjoy Camp Hope and the river ACCESS too!! We appreciate the wonderful feedback everyone gives it helps us grow with you!!

This place was fantastic. Had it all to ourselves for a lovely spring weekend. Easy parking on a flat surface helps this novice RV driver. Friendly, prompt, informative hosts. Dan showed us around, provided some great stories and years of expertise about the land he loved and has spent years taking care of. Amazing wooded path to the stream and a little further is the river. Beautiful trees, ferns, moss and also open grass areas to be enjoyed.
Full hookups but no waste water on site. We hit an RV shop a few miles down the road in Chehalis and used their system (for $1). WiFi was solid. AT&T worked great. No Verizon service.
Perhaps the best part for us was what an absolute paradise it was here for our dogs that are used to city living. They got their moneys worth!

What we love most about this campground is how spacious it was. We have a very long bumper pull trailer and a large van because we haul lots of kids and a dog, we were able to pull in without a problem. There was plenty of room to turn around. It is hard to find a spot that has enough room for our large camper with power and water hook up. We also had a large car trailer in tow with us too, and there was enough room to park both of them.
The covered Gazebo had light so we hung out under it and played UNO for a bit.
It was so nice being able to rent out the yurt. It was very cool. There’s a pool table in there so the kids had a lot of fun shooting pool and playing games plus it was a great place to do the dishes and a little bit of cooking. There is a full-size bathroom inside the yurt, which was awesome because our tanks are not that big on our trailer so everybody got to shower. There was not a burn ban, so of course we had a great fire and kids got s’mores !!! The host even had firewood there for our use!! Most places charge extra for that.
This is a 10 out of 10 recommend!!! We will absolutely be back!!!

Weekend Trip to Elkenmist
This was an absolutely incredible experience. My partner and I had a wonderful time, everyone was so kind and we were lucky enough to have the sheep right near the yurt. The land is gorgeous with plenty of areas to walk around and explore. Absolutely would go back again.

This camp spot rivals the best of state parks - broad sites with lots of space between trailers. Rolling hills dotted with landscaping, vegetation, and farm structures. The trails lead to a small, picturesque creek that flows into the Chehalis. Solid hookups and lots of amenities like group fire pit, etc. It’s only a mile from Rainbow Falls SP.

I tent camped here for a month and it was great. The composting toilet was very clean and spacious, as were the onsite showers. Linda and family were very nice and welcoming, as were the barn cats. This place is great for long or short term stays, so much open space!

We had a very relaxing and lovely time! We travel in a 30ft class C. We fit perfectly. We also travel with a medium size dog. There is an old logging road right across the street perfect for walks. There are areas on site that are perfect for middle of the night when puppy has to go. Yes, the owners are on site, but other than the initial greeting we didn't see them. We were relaxed. There was enough room to park our extra vehicle and set out chairs. We work remotely, so while our phones were fine, we did struggle to get strong enough service to work. But if you are not working, it is perfect. It was a wonderful spot and we will be back. Oh, Starlink worked great.
