This site is absolutely gorgeous. Whether you’re looking to just enjoy a few nights on the river hanging out with family and friends, or looking for a private spot to fish away from the crowds, this place is it! Plenty of parking space, enough room to pitch a 12+ person tent, good Salmon/Steelhead fishing, and a great swimming area. If you have a boat, there’s a small launch 1/4 mile downriver and you can motor your boat up to the site and beach it. We set up plunking rods and caught 2 Spring Chinook here! This is one of the most beautiful spots on the river. Small Pea Mouth Chubs run up the creek that flows through the site, and your kids can watch them swimming around. We found big frogs, looked for agates, fished, and cooked some good food. I will definitely be booking this site again!

The riverside campsite is beautiful and has great river access but the train and road noise woke us up multiple times every night. Also the hosts have a camera covering the parking area which is fine but wish was mentioned in the listing.

We had a very enjoyable stay! 😊 our host, Nikki was great! Very easy to reach… This was my first time camping through Hip Camp. I was able to have a bit of a family reunion out there, close to family to come visit. Lot less stress for my 14-year-old sheltie, with no other campers around. Kayaking was beautiful! Huge fish, jumping everywhere! Definitely recommend fishing!! I would recommend this spot, and would come and stay again… ❤️ Thank you, Nikki, for a wonderful stay,

What a great relaxing weekend! The property was so clean and felt very private. My granddaughter had so much fun picking blackberries for her waffles. Yes, there was road and train noise but you tune it out after the first day. We actually made a game out of the trains... who could call it coming first and was it a passenger or freight train based on sound. Saw lots of wildlife including deer, eagles and very pretty ducks. The only downside was all the gnats for 2hrs at night. Next time bugs spray.

We had a wonderful time at this campsite for our girls weekend. The site was beautiful and the privacy was perfect! There was plenty of space to set up camp and enjoy all of the wildlife and nature. Nikki was a great host and was very responsive. We didn't mind it being to close to the street and the trains paying by were tolerable. We will definitely be coming back again.

This is a perfect spot to get in the water and enjoy being outside. Several great tent spots and a nice area for a fire and cooking. We had a blast. Can’t wait to book again. Clear views of the sky for viewing the stars and meteor shower.

Was absolutely amazing. The wild life deer,geese, ducks, otters, and the raccoons that left little footprints on the cooler was the perfect getaway. The train noise is not bad, traffic noise is sometimes loud but that won't stop us from going back. It was wonderful.

Great, private spot right on the river. Easy water access and lots of blackberries. Perfect for an overnight. Occasional passing cars on road but well worth the convenience. I’d definitely stay here again.

This is a very charming spot with lots to do. We took our paddle boards and also did a little fishing. It’s a good spot for trailer if you’re skilled.
I’ll mention there is road noise and a very active train track farther away but it didn’t detour from our stay here. I would recommend!!! Also how is great and responds very quickly to any questions

Overall it was a good camping spot. The train noise and road noise were definitely worse than we thought. I think previous reviews downplayed this a bit. The water is very cold if you are not familiar with the cowlitz river. Not ideal for swimming. This is an excellent spot for fishing.

A beautiful scenic location not far from main highway. Great spot to swim & fish. Address wasn't marked & a bit tricky to get into with small travel trailer. Site backs onto a lesser used highway but it was quite busy with traffic.

What a beautiful place. It was so refreshing to take a dip in the river since the day was very hot. Woke up to see a bald eagle and deer on the far shore. Absolutely magical.

Nikki's riverside camp site is a little gem! The rover is absolutely gorgeous and although the water was flowing quite fast, the large eddy there provided a perfect place to swim, paddle board and kayak. The water is clear, refreshing, and quite deep! Lots of small fish!
There is an electrical outlet at the top of the lot and you need at least 130' of power cord to reach the grassy area. Huge perk!
There were a few folks fishing nearby during our stay and a couple boats that drove by, but other than that it seemed pretty private. There is a neighborring home very close by and they also have access to the waterfront. Beware there is quite a bit of geese poop in the grass, and there is a shovel provided to scoop it out. The train is visible and loud as it passes by, several times a day but it isn't as frequent at night. The traffic noise is noticeable but it didn't bother us much.
We set up 4 tents in the grass and used the gravel area for the kitchen setup and dancing. The grass area is a little hilly but we all slept like babies.
Nikki was very responsive with my questions, and a great host! Very beautiful spot!

First of all, the camp site is absolutely beautiful. There is an upper area for parking and tents and a lower area for fire pits and chairs. There are two sandy banks with access to the river for boating or swimming if you can manage the cold water. There are a couple rod holders near the shore for fishing. And you can cast from the shore in the lagoon or right into the current of the river. There is a private area next to a flowing creek, great area for a potty tent. The only issue we had was the cotton wood trees absolutely throwing cotton on every and in everything. Food, clothes inside tents covered with cotton wood. Not super fun and anytime the wind would blow it looked like it was snowing. We brought a canopy to cook under to save the food. Might just be the time of the year but it was crazy. As seen in other review there is some noise from the road and some noise from the trains but I didn’t really mind it at all. For the most part is absolutely quite and the only reason you can hear the train is because the camp site is so peaceful.

It's close to a main road, there is some traffic noise as cars pass by. The train bridge is upriver and trains run pretty late. It quiets down at night and feels remote and peaceful. The view up and down the river is beautiful. Lots of fish and bird activity. Beautiful to wake up to with the easterly view.

The view is amazing and having your own water access was great! You have a lot of privacy for the most part but do note that neighbors to the left that have water access adjacent to this site do have dogs (put them on leash when they saw us which we appreciated) and like to play very tasteful music but quite loudly to where you definitely won’t be playing your own. Keep an eye on your step walking around the taller grass area as there are many small ditches!

We only stayed one night, but it is a great location and relaxing location! Lots of river wildlife made it a very memorable experience for the kids!
We will definitely be back!
Note: If you have a Class C RV, you may want to turn right into the site while heading north, instead of turning left into the site if going south. Our Class C is pretty low and we bent a leveling jack turning in.

Location on the river was amazing. Only negative was the that the road noise was a lot for our trip in the early mornings. Possibly being it was during the weekdays. A lot of log truck activity. Trains were not a bother at all. If hauling a trailer go past the sites driveway and on the left is a nice turnaround spot to allow entering the driveway easier. Thanks for the location.
