Our rental property was once a mini Rail Road with full size locomotive's, train cars, pumper cars and more. My dad & grandpa layed all the tracks & put together the buildings in the 1970's. Once done my grandma sold tickets to the tourist and my grandpa ran the engine around the 7 acre oval track pulling a train car full of happy tourist through the woods over the train bridge and past the big water tower back to their vehicles so they could finish their journies with a drive to Mt. Rainier. There is a lot of history on this property for our family and we hope by sharing it with others they will be able to experience some fun here as well.

We love our animals and each one has a specific purpose they fulfill. Enjoy some quiet time in nature and with all the animals. Terrific spot just east of Aberdeen, about 1.5 miles south of Hwy 12 in Elma (stock up at Elma Farm Stand or Grocery Outlet) Tranquil, quiet, very well kept…about 9 sites spread out along the banks of large ponds full of lily pads and many varieties of birds. Each one has a firepit and a hand hewn log bench. Two very clean porta-potties. Free firewood!!! Don the owner is a great guy. Made sure I got settled in properly, fun to hear how he created Camp Bird Watch from the wild. Will definitely return!

My friends and I loved this site! We stayed at the deck site and it was beautifully kept and very spacious. The hot tub, toilet, sink and shower were all very clean. Jake and Molly were so accommodating and friendly - they made sure we had a comfortable stay. We already have plans to return this summer with a larger group! This is definitely going on our list of go to annual camp sites 👍🏾

What an amazing stay! It’s obvious the owners make such a great team (in the Hipcamp realm and as partners). Beautiful couple! I am afraid to say I had no idea what a Capybara was. Now I can’t quit researching them! My favorite rodent now!!! The goats were gorgeous! And to pet a porcupine? I never ever contemplated this in my life but here I was, petting a porcupine! The dry camp areas were also so beautiful. As we walked down to the farm once set up we were escorted by curious Lammas. When I opened up the trailer door in the morning the Lammas were right at our site, eating a grass breakfast. So much fun for me. I felt like a kid again.

I loved that it was only 20 min from Niscually entrance of Mount Rainer. The campground is in the forest. I was worried about “the train” but it’s so cute everyone comes out and takes photos of it has it goes by. The campground also has little sculpture gems my favorite was the raccoon.

My husband and I camped at the green table with a 19ft trailer that easily fit the area. Like others have said, it’s more private and has a larger space for lounging. I chose the green table for its privacy because our dogs are yappers and would bark at others if we were too close. The site was nice. The view wasn’t great because of new tree growth. However, we loved the young trees but were still a little envious of the other sites’ views. The propane shower was a huge plus since we ran out of water on day 3. The well water made me and my hair softer than ever!! So nice!! There is a common area that could be fun with the right group of people. There are a couple of swings for littles, which I found cute even though we don’t have children. Overall, it was a really nice stay and I felt extremely rejuvenated when I got back home. 10/10 recommend. Pro tip…the drive in is steep and intimidating but short… and going down was no problem. The propane shower though….😍

The views from David’s place are awesome. It’s right off the interstate and easily accessible. Had plenty of space to situate a 26’ trailer. Pink and yellow sites (have stayed at both) are pretty close together but depending where you park, there is still good privacy. The rope swing is nice and the kids loved it. Having water and power onsite were also great to have.

The sunset from the property was so beautiful. Dawson had set up the fire in the stove to be so easy to start for the sauna. We loved being able to bask in the warmth of the sauna then cold plunge into the rain water shower just outside of the sauna. It was great to have the compostable toilet attached to the cabin. We loved the setup.

We make it a point to stay here whenever we can on our way to and from Seattle. The hosts are always friendly and go out of their way to help you. The farm is a lovely space for relaxing and enjoying the peace and quiet. It’s got all the hookups for rv’s and it’s fast and easy access from the I-5 corridor, but it’s a completely different world from the noise and the rush. If you are a birder like me, there are some wetlands at the bottom end of the property and wild birds frequent the area. We’ll be back!

We loved camping on Holistic Life Farms! When we first arrived we were welcomed by James the farm dog who never barked once and was so sweet with our dog. James lead the way to our Luxury Glamping tent. The tent is amazing and has a gorgeous deck overlooking beautiful forests. The tent has a comfortable bed, desk, end table, cabinet you can store things under, and a charging station for your phones, etc...which was very helpful. There is cell phone service but opted out of communicating with the outside world, as we were mesmerized with the beauty of our surroundings. There is an overhead light, beautiful wood floors, a large rug and two armchairs. The best part is the woodburning stove which we used every night and morning. Having coffee in bed with the warmth of the stove was Luxury at its finest. The deck is quite big and is covered so if it rains you can still enjoy the outdoors and the solar lights come on at night. There are two chairs, a small table and a large table to put your camping stove on. We did bring an additional folding table for the deck . Handy for extra gear. The composting toilet is very close, well thought out and well kept. Bring a good flashlight to get you to the toilet as it is pitch black when the solar lights turn off . The next morning we met Kyle the farm hand, Buttercup the cow, Sidney, and Paul the owner who is amazing! All absolutely lovely people. We bought grass fed steaks and raw milk. So delicious. I went tent camping with my daughter for her first time ever, in this campground was such a great way to get her in the outdoors. The community center was really helpful with a full shower and kitchen, it genuinely was the selling point to get her to go (and the hot tub). Everyone was super friendly, things were quiet and peaceful, The sites themselves spacious with more than enough room for everything we needed, and I have already recommended to several people. Next time I think I'll try a yurt as well!

MTN View Manor is a 20 acre wooded parcel shared between the 7 new campsites that are located on the east side of the property at the beginning of both driveways. Beyond the campsites are private and set up for the owners and Airbnb guest only. All of this is behind a locked gate just off the MT. Rainier scenic highway 706. The first entrance is. Is is where sites 6 and 7 are located. The second entrance is where sites 1-5 and the airbnb are located. Each site is clearly marked. Parking is permitted in front of each site. We provide a picnic table and trash bin at every site. No fires are allowed in individual sites but guest can congregate at the group fire pit that is located in the Middle of the field between campsite 3 and 4. We provide the firewood. The porta potty is located at the second driveway behind the privacy fence. Campers in site 6 and 7 can walk through the woods on maintained trails to access the porta potty or drive back out to the main driveway. The sites are large and spaced out.

We love camping, hiking and any opportunity to be outside with our two children! In 2020 (one week before the whole world shut down from Covid) we found the hidden gem we had been searching for! A perfect place to raise our family, space to play and explore nature, super private and close to town! It seemed too good to be true and still does! After settling in and realizing what amazing natural beauty we had, we got to work developing our garden, orchards, trails, fire pits and….Campsites! After building a camp site for our family, we decided that we wanted to share this amazing space with other families to enjoy! We built Hidden Meadow to be the campsite that we have always searched for on our family adventures, surrounded by nature, away from the hustle and bustle of the world, with trails for hiking and a HOT TUB to relax in, in the evening! We hope that you enjoy it! About the property: We are located on a very private property (the only houses you will see are across the inlet) surrounded by nature but only about 10 minutes from downtown Olympia and 5 minutes from I-5 and Lacey. The property is situated on the very south end of Henderson Inlet. We are on the tide flats so twice a day (at high tide) we have the opportunity to explore on the water in canoes and kayaks. The property is spread over 16 acres and is comprised of two large fields (one in front of our home and the other is a smaller meadow off to the side (hidden meadow) and forest land. There is tons of space for playing, exploring and tiring out your kids and pups! Wildlife is abound with eagles, hawks, owls, falcons, shore birds and a variety of forest birds make this place their home. We are also frequented by the local deer who wonder through and say hi. About the campground: The campground is located in the far northeast corner of the property on the edge of the forest and meadow. In the common areas you will find the bathroom which has a shower and a toilet. The toilet is a porta-potty and the shower is propane headed. There is also a supply closet at the bathroom that has the yard games and extra supplies. There is a hottub situated right on the edge of the forest with peek-a-boo views of the inlet. You will also find garbage and recycling bins as well as a sink for washing hands (please water only down the sink). We have provided soap that is biodegradable for the sink and shower to help reduce our impact on this beautiful environment. There are trails throughout the forest along the 600 feet of water (tide) front. Along the trails you will find several different benches, seats and swings to relax and enjoy nature from. There is also several fairies and gnomes who have been sighted in the forest. If you look closely, you might spot one too! We ware, if you touch a fairy or gnome they do lose their magical powers so please respect the mystical creatures. 😊 The sites are about 500 feet from our house and offers great privacy. You may see us throughout the day and evening coming and going from the campground, working on the property or playing with the kids on the trails! Dogs: We do have two dogs on the property (Wilma and Bean) who are very friendly and we will keep them out of camp during your stay. Although they typically follow us when we walk down there. We allow dogs to be off leash at owner’s risk. There may be other dogs in camp so please use discretion when letting your dogs off leash and be mindful of other campers. You must be responsible for your own dogs, we are not responsible for any dog related or dog inflicted injuries. Getting here: We are off of Sleater Kinney Rd in Olympia. We have a long, steep, curvy driveway. At the bottom of the driveway, you will find signs directing you to the camp site. If you have extra vehicles, we have extra parking spaces adjacent to the campsite. The road out to camp may be bumpy (we do our best to keep it smooth) so go slow and beware of natural obstacles. Rules: 1. Check in time is 2:00pm or later. For afterhours arrivals, please let us know. 2. Check out time is 12:00pm or earlier 3. Quiet hours from 9pm to 8am. You are far from our house, so we can’t hear you but sound travels well over the water to our neighbors. Nobody wants grumpy neighbors, please be respectful. 4. Remain within the campground boundary during all times. If you need us, please feel free to text or call. 5. Please put all trash in the trash cans or take it with you. 6. Remove all dog doo and dispose of in the trash. 7. Leave what you find (except ripe blackberries). Please leave any forest treasures where you found them. 8. Cleanup any debris left from firewood/camp activities before departing. 9. Enjoy nature and respect it. Please stay on trails and respect the plants and the natural habitats. 10. Stay off the dock. It is closed for repair. 11. Do not use the trailside fireplace (if you find it) or our personal canoe or kayaks. However, feel free to enjoy the view from the seats by the fireplace. 12. Be cautious when walking around, the ground is bumpy and there are exposed tree roots that can be tripping hazards. We are not responsible from injuries. 13. Help us keep it clean- if you find any garbage around, please pick it up or let us know. 14. Keep fires small and when you are finished PUT YOUR FIRES DEAD OUT! There are 5 gallon buckets by each fire put to fill before you start your fire for putting them out. 15. Please do not burn trash or food. It can create issues with the wildlife. Put all waste in garbage cans.

This is a gorgeous park-like RV campground situated between the trees of the arboretum. No tents, please. Also we have NO public restrooms. Beautiful view of the mountains and forests here in western Washington. We are close to Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier and several lakes. There are walking trails all around the site. The 12 acre campground is located on a 136 acre property that is an active Christmas tree farm. Trails continue throughout the tree farm. Many trails have a view of the Tilton River, which can be reached via a challenging 3/4 mile trail. Sites are on 10 acres planted with many different species of trees that are about 30 years old. Giant Redwoods, Cedars, and Maples are just a few of the varieties present. Part of the farm is still a working Christmas tree farm. The trails are wide and grassy. The old logging road that we use as a trail to the river has an elevation change of about 500 feet, the trail can be quite challenging. Bear Creek empties into the Tilton river at the end of the trail. There is an ART GALLERY where you can learn to pound flowers, see the host's artwork and get a cup of coffee! This is upstairs above the shop, right on the property. Tilton River Studio Gallery. Three sites have electrical hookups. Every site has a water spigot (use a pressure regulator if you want to hook up). No restrooms or sewer hookups. Garbage disposal site available Memorial Day to Labor Day. Property has 1,000 feet of boat docks, river deck, and pier. At the pier is a full kitchen, heated bathroom and shower room. Included are 2 outhouses, a fire pit for summer months, a viewing station overlooking the wetlands along with brick charcoal fired barbecue and another propane barbecue. We are committed to your privacy so guests are limited and spread out. High speed internet through out the property. Batwater worked with several agencies when we breeched a levee and flooded 26 acres for salmon and wildlife habitat. Hike along the wetlands and see beaver dams and dens. Batwater is also home for many types of birds including eagles, osprey, tree swallow, purple martins, barn swallows, wood ducks, common and hooded mergansers, mallards, scoots, scaups, grebes, cormorants, great egrets, blue herons, geese and many types of song birds . In the spring and summer see our returning osprey who have. nested on our dock since 2013. There are now 2 osprey platform since a pair of Canada geese choose that as their nesting site as well. Some bald eagles winter here but we have our resident bald eagles Hep and Hope. They arrived in 2003 to start their nest on Crims Island. They still nest there although there old nest tree collapsed in 2020. Many birds migrate here for the winter. Common mammals are river otter, mink, muskrat, raccoons, nutria, coyotes, black tailed and threatened Colombia White Tailed deer. We also are home to native turtles and frogs. Batwater is a working farm with cattle feeding on lush pastures, 2 retired horses and chickens. When eggs are available, we will share some with you. Batwater is a great place to kayak, canoe, paddle board or row during the summer months. We have windy afternoons for windsurfers or sailors. The Columbia River is well known for salmon, and sturgeon. For an extra fee you can moor your larger boat while visiting. There are a volley ball and badminton set ups along with horse shoes during the summer months. We suggest swimming during the summer months when the tide is coming in or slack. You can also walk or drive down to Mayger beach which is popular with locals. There are sandy beaches on Crims island that you can paddle over too. Check out the pictures for more information.

MTN View Manor is a 20 acre wooded parcel shared between the 7 new campsites that are located on the east side of the property at the beginning of both driveways. Beyond the campsites are private and set up for the owners and Airbnb guest only. All of this is behind a locked gate just off the MT. Rainier scenic highway 706. The first entrance is. Is is where sites 6 and 7 are located. The second entrance is where sites 1-5 and the airbnb are located. Each site is clearly marked. Parking is permitted in front of each site. We provide a picnic table and trash bin at every site. No fires are allowed in individual sites but guest can congregate at the group fire pit that is located in the Middle of the field between campsite 3 and 4. We provide the firewood. The porta potty is located at the second driveway behind the privacy fence. Campers in site 6 and 7 can walk through the woods on maintained trails to access the porta potty or drive back out to the main driveway. The sites are large and spaced out.

Perfect location for setting up camp with your RV, then taking your car up into the Olympics. Looking for dog-friendly hikes? Several Olympic National Forest and Skokomish Wilderness trails can be accessed from Lake Cushman, including Mt. Ellinor, Mt. Rose, and Mt. Washington. When returning to camp, enjoy what our property has to offer. Of the 11 acres, 10 acres are comprised of wetlands. A trail winds down to Mill Creek just 1/4 mile downstream from the outlet of Lake Isabella. Here the creek is wide and it is permissible to hand launch non-motorized vessels (eg, kayaks, canoes). The stretch of creek between our property and the lake is conservation land, and a beaver dam crosses the creek, but kayakers can usually navigate over the beaver dam and paddle into Lake Isabella. The lake is over 200 acres and boasts Lake Isabella State Park and a public boat launch. Our wetland is critical for maintaining water quality for the local shellfish industry; access is confined to the trail and creek access needs to be gentle. But if you pause for a moment along the shoreline you'll be rewarded as wildlife begin to stir from their hiding places. Song birds, rabbits, deer, voles -- yes. But also river otters, beavers, ducks, cormorants, and owls. Mountain lions and coyotes are possible, and salmon run Mill Creek. Back at the RV site there is a picnic table for cookouts and a large propane fire pit with half-moon seating - perfect for roasting S'mores late into the evening or stargazing in a region remote from city lights. With just a single RV site, our nearest neighbor several acres away, and only State land between us and Hwy 101, you can expect a private stay in a forested setting with easy freeway access to the Olympics on one side of the property and an idyllic private creekside nature preserve on the other.
