We offer some of the most beautiful scenery in western Washington. Here you will find the peaceful quiet of being "away from it all", yet in reality you are only a little over a mile from the local grocery store, restaurants, and gas stations along Hwy 12 in Randle.
We have 20 spacious sites on 70 acres, bordered by the Cowlitz River in Randle, WA. We are centrally located between Mt. Rainier, Mt. St. Helens, and Mt. Adams. Since we are not open for public entry, you can feel safe leaving your camp set up while you take day excursions.
We have dry camping ONLY. There is a spigot for water at the gate, but no water or electricity hookups at any of the sites.
We welcome individual campers as well as groups. Many of our sites will hold 20-30 people, all in one site area. We can also accommodate much larger groups.... Let us know if you have a special group event. We can discuss your needs and see if our property is a fit for you. After the eruption the land raised 5 feet or so higher then it was previously.

The water at (shallower) Dockton Park (about a 6 min drive away) gets warm from swimming in summer if you prefer it to 54 degree deep water here!
Please clean up after your pet. Dogs must be leashed AT ALL TIMES in the field. If no one is around at the beach, they can be off leash, but leash up if anyone approaches until they pass. Please never leave your dog unattended outside where barking will disturb the peace.

Follow the path that’s embraced by flowering gardens, trees, next to a rock wall that winds gently down the hill past a fire pit, to an archway made of sticks, as you enter the expansive open space in front of you, with woods of the vacant land next door on the left side, and a huge grass lawn, where you are invited to play fetch with your well behaved dog, or throw a frisbee with a friend.
To get to the lake shore, keep left, next to the woods, which is my 1/3 portion of the huge open space. Go straight ahead to find my hidden private dock and secluded beach, at the end of a short waterfront trail. During the warmer months, the rowboat, tandem kayak, & 2 paddle boards are kept here, ready to take out fishing or for a tour around the peaceful lake.
Many water birds and other birds call this home. You may spot a great blue heron or crane as they stretch their wings for several minutes soaking up the sun. Or you may see,
osprey and bald eagles soaring overhead then diving into the lake to swoop up a fish for their next meal.
Spend the day relaxing at the beach with a good book, soaking up the sun, or enjoying a picnic at the two picnic tables. As the day winds down, gather around the beach fire pit, the fire pit next to the garden path, or the fire pit at your campsite for a relaxing evening camp fire.
Swimming is part of the good life here.
Life jackets are available to use, in many sizes, and there are plenty of beach towels too. We are installing a slide into the water, off the dock this summer. Motorboats aren’t permitted on this lake, so it’s always serene and peaceful.
It’s all part of what makes staying here such a terrific getaway.

Our grandma was a very kind woman who was one of the most generous people you'd ever meet, so much so that she was often taken advantage of when it came to the amount of space she allocated of the farm to people's stuff, after she passed the family has spent over 2 years to remove over 15 tons of items that didn't belong to us. We are now so happy to present the Delightful Farm. A hemp experience that is quite the turnaround. Please clean up after your pet. Dogs must be leashed AT ALL TIMES in the field. If no one is around at the beach, they can be off leash, but leash up if anyone approaches until they pass. Please never leave your dog unattended outside where barking will disturb the peace.

Follow the path that’s embraced by flowering gardens, trees, next to a rock wall that winds gently down the hill past a fire pit, to an archway made of sticks, as you enter the expansive open space in front of you, with woods of the vacant land next door on the left side, and a huge grass lawn, where you are invited to play fetch with your well behaved dog, or throw a frisbee with a friend.
To get to the lake shore, keep left, next to the woods, which is my 1/3 portion of the huge open space. Go straight ahead to find my hidden private dock and secluded beach, at the end of a short waterfront trail. During the warmer months, the rowboat, tandem kayak, & 2 paddle boards are kept here, ready to take out fishing or for a tour around the peaceful lake.
Many water birds and other birds call this home. You may spot a great blue heron or crane as they stretch their wings for several minutes soaking up the sun. Or you may see,
osprey and bald eagles soaring overhead then diving into the lake to swoop up a fish for their next meal.
Spend the day relaxing at the beach with a good book, soaking up the sun, or enjoying a picnic at the two picnic tables. As the day winds down, gather around the beach fire pit, the fire pit next to the garden path, or the fire pit at your campsite for a relaxing evening camp fire.
Swimming is part of the good life here.
Life jackets are available to use, in many sizes, and there are plenty of beach towels too. We are installing a slide into the water, off the dock this summer. Motorboats aren’t permitted on this lake, so it’s always serene and peaceful.
It’s all part of what makes staying here such a terrific getaway.

Our grandma was a very kind woman who was one of the most generous people you'd ever meet, so much so that she was often taken advantage of when it came to the amount of space she allocated of the farm to people's stuff, after she passed the family has spent over 2 years to remove over 15 tons of items that didn't belong to us. We are now so happy to present the Delightful Farm. A hemp experience that is quite the turnaround. We now have 4 pigs, 20 baby chicks and 30 full grown layers who are proliferating the farm pretty quickly. This was one of the best places we have stayed (25 ft Motor-home) with a gorgeous view, super quiet and a fairly empty beach to walk down to where the dog could run free. Will be back since this is a great place to play and Vashon is fun to walk around and get some goodies. On the way , Point Defiance is a great park to check out too.

We had a very enjoyable stay! 😊 our host, Nikki was great! Very easy to reach… This was my first time camping through Hip Camp. I was able to have a bit of a family reunion out there, close to family to come visit. Lot less stress for my 14-year-old sheltie, with no other campers around. Kayaking was beautiful! We loved camping with our tent trailer at Woodland Grove. There are amenities we never thought there would be (kayak, paddleboard, lifejackets and a plethora of art supplies and artwork!) We were disappointed when we first arrived on the island because there was a burn ban but DELIGHTED when we arrived at the property and saw that the host had provided a propane firepit for us to enjoy campfires! What a kind gesture! The host did not come to the property uninvited but kept in touch via the hipcamp app to ensure there was nothing we were lacking. That included a brief message when we had a light rain to ask if we were staying dry! We will definitely be returning!

We were a group of 3 families celebrating a birthday, and we had a fantastic time. The camp spot has gorgeous views, privacy and great river access. The porta potty was very clean, no unpleasant smells with hand sanitizer and TP. We enjoyed waking on the property, spotted 2 foxes and many cool birds, and floated on the river a couple of times. It is really dusty, but it's worth it anyway. We are already making plans to come back, great spot!

What a gorgeous camping spot right on the sound! Beautiful views, wonderful place to paddle board and fish from. The outdoor warm shower, with a view was heavenly! There was a burn ban and the host provided a really nice propane fire pit. That was a nice surprise. The host had outstanding communication and was super friendly and cared that we felt comfortable and taken care of. If your looking for a private camping spot that feels like your far out in nature this is the place!

What a great relaxing weekend! The property was so clean and felt very private. My granddaughter had so much fun picking blackberries for her waffles. Yes, there was road and train noise but you tune it out after the first day. We actually made a game out of the trains... who could call it coming first and was it a passenger or freight train based on sound. Saw lots of wildlife including deer, eagles and very pretty ducks. The only downside was all the gnats for 2hrs at night. Next time bugs spray.
