We offer some of the most beautiful scenery in western Washington. Here you will find the peaceful quiet of being "away from it all", yet in reality you are only a little over a mile from the local grocery store, restaurants, and gas stations along Hwy 12 in Randle.
We have 20 spacious sites on 70 acres, bordered by the Cowlitz River in Randle, WA. We are centrally located between Mt. Rainier, Mt. St. Helens, and Mt. Adams. Since we are not open for public entry, you can feel safe leaving your camp set up while you take day excursions.
We have dry camping ONLY. There is a spigot for water at the gate, but no water or electricity hookups at any of the sites.
We welcome individual campers as well as groups. Many of our sites will hold 20-30 people, all in one site area. We can also accommodate much larger groups.... Let us know if you have a special group event. We can discuss your needs and see if our property is a fit for you. After the eruption the land raised 5 feet or so higher then it was previously.
We found the property and loved the closeness of the river and purchased the land from Weyerhaeuser 10 years ago and had have been enjoying it ever since.

Lots of hiking nearby, motorcycle track, drag strip and drift car track. You have acres to enjoy! Like your own mini campground. Half of our acreage is across the river-summertime is a great time to cross and explore! You can even walk up river and tube down.
1,000 feet of riverfront, a pond, charcoal grill, and 3 different fire pits for you to explore. If you rent the trailer and are over 6'1 you wont be a happy camper! You will enjoy bugs, snakes, spiders, deer, otters, beavers, mice, bees, and maybe the neighbors cows.
We live on the neighboring property, but respect your privacy.

We had a very enjoyable stay! 😊 our host, Nikki was great! Very easy to reach… This was my first time camping through Hip Camp. I was able to have a bit of a family reunion out there, close to family to come visit. Lot less stress for my 14-year-old sheltie, with no other campers around. Kayaking was beautiful! We were a group of 3 families celebrating a birthday, and we had a fantastic time. The camp spot has gorgeous views, privacy and great river access. The porta potty was very clean, no unpleasant smells with hand sanitizer and TP. We enjoyed waking on the property, spotted 2 foxes and many cool birds, and floated on the river a couple of times. It is really dusty, but it's worth it anyway. We are already making plans to come back, great spot!

What a great relaxing weekend! The property was so clean and felt very private. My granddaughter had so much fun picking blackberries for her waffles. Yes, there was road and train noise but you tune it out after the first day. We actually made a game out of the trains... who could call it coming first and was it a passenger or freight train based on sound. Saw lots of wildlife including deer, eagles and very pretty ducks. The only downside was all the gnats for 2hrs at night. Next time bugs spray.

This property is meticulously maintained! The camp sites are pristinely curated, with great level land, vegetation for separation of sites, and the trail down to the river is well maintained. The river was great for hanging out and cooling off, as well as finding rocks. Each camp site had a fire ring and bucket of water available to dump on the fire when done. Road noise down at sites 5, 6 and 7 is minimal. Very peaceful!

Lovely camping trip here as always! Funny enough site 2 I had cell signal, whereas I don’t when I camp at site 3. Yes this site is closer to the road but it didn’t impact our stay, we slept through the night and had a great time. perfect spot to put up the tent away from the fire pit too.

This site rocks! We went here because our usual camp spots were full. It was beautiful and site 3 is definitely the most private of the camp spots up top. The hosts were very kind and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. We loved going down to the river to hang out and being able to get firewood and ice directly from the hosts without leaving the campground. The portapotty was SUPER clean so don’t worry about that. We really had a blast and will definitely return in the future!

We had a wonderful time at this campsite for our girls weekend. The site was beautiful and the privacy was perfect! There was plenty of space to set up camp and enjoy all of the wildlife and nature. Nikki was a great host and was very responsive. We didn't mind it being to close to the street and the trains paying by were tolerable. We will definitely be coming back again.
