Weekend Trip to Otter Pond Riverfront Getaway

The Otter Pond is absolutely lovely! The vintage camper is adorable and comfortably cozy. The place is very loved and cared for. The sounds of the river is so soothing. 3 deer visited the property along with lots of birds and ducks. This property has several fire pit options, an RC track, horseshoes and a lot of relaxation. Although this place is far from home I hope to return someday and highly recommend it! Mt Helens is nearby and there is a lot to do in the area as well. The hosts were friendly and helpful.

4 nights at Private Beach, 15 Acres, Vashon

I wish I could give Lisa and her camping spot more than 5 stars. My partner and I booked this spot for a romantic get away with the dogs. The view is STUNNING and serene and private. Lisa is very helpful. I would recommend this space for any camper.

This was our second time camping here, and we love it! Serene, beautiful, quiet. We love it!

Weekend Trip to Summertide Resort

What an excellent weekend at the Summertide Resort. The 5 campsites are quaint and clean along a babbling brook for excellent sleeping. We were also pleasantly surprised to have convenient sinks for washing dishes, a propane grill for easy camp cooking and communal campfire so we didn't have camp smoke blowing into our campsites. But the real treat was the inclusive kayaking and paddleboarding and fresh coffee & oyster buckets for our morning clam & oyster collecting. We will be back soon! Thank you Morgan & Krista!

Weekend Trip to Summertide Resort

Perfect last minute get away! The camping spots are just a little up hill and across the street from the waterfront, close enough for easy access but also tucked away in nature. A fawn and doe walked right through the camping area one day and another deer the next. The water and views were beautiful and it was great that they allow campers to borrow the kayaks and paddle boards. Hosts/owners were super nice and friendly in a laid back way. Really nice bathrooms with showers included. The camp store has all the essentials and we joined other visitors around the campfire and shared freshly harvested oysters. Perfect balance of not too fancy but not too rustic. We will for sure be back and maybe will rent one of their vacation rentals with family.

Weekend Trip to RAPID RIDES ADVENTURES

We loved tent camping at site 6! This is our second time camping along the Toutle River. The River itself is so beautiful and provides great rock hunting and background noise. River access was easy with a newly constructed trail from our site. Porta potty was super clean and stocked. James was helpful with supplies and fun camping toys to purchase for our little one. Generous bundles of firewood! Our site was nice and flat with a fire ring, picnic table, bbq, etc. The only downfall is the nearby drag/motocross track that can get quite loud when events going on. We got used to it but figured worth mentioning. Would definitely come again!!

Beautiful spot for sure. Host is really responsive and nice. It’s quite far from other site, but were that one to have a large group sound could be an issue as it’s a big open field. Overhead plane noise at night from SeaTac reminds you you’re not quite out in the wild.

Weekend Trip to Belfair Beach Front!

A lovely beachfront camping spot. This seems to be a hidden gem. The host Kent was wonderful. Making himself available if needed and giving us plenty of privacy. This spot is single spot and not in a campground, which made it all the better. Very private. Has its own beach access for the kids to play in right in front in a large waterfront area filled with fresh oysters. We definitely will camp here again. No sewage or showers. Tons of stuff to do in the area in May. Nearby drive-in theater as well.

I loved camping here. The space was private and ready for guests. The hosts go the extra mile and offer fire wood, tiki torches, and nice touches like automatic lights in the port-a-potty. I will absolutely be back!

Me and 6 of my friends went here for a night in may. Weather was great and so was the location. I little tricky to find but once you find the driveway just follow the arrows. Overall was a great trip with a great view!

we decided to camp here because it was one of the few campgrounds around rainier that we could book on a Memorial Day weekend. Turns out it was an excellent campground that is more private with great shower/toilet/sink facilities. We also loved that it was close to the river.

Weekend Trip to Private Beach, 15 Acres, Vashon

This spot is a gem! It all starts with the drive down the magical path of lined trees that opens up to the bluff. Then you’re greeted with the most amazing view of Mt. Rainier. Any spot you choose to set-up is the BEST spot. I spent the weekend taking in the views, watched the seals play down below and spotted eagles soaring above. Lisa also stopped by to say hello which made it feel very personal and gave me a sense of comfort/safety especially as a solo camper. Will definitely be back!

2 nights at Wishkah Blue

Sandy's backyard is spacious and lovely with flowers this time of year! It had everything I needed; the indoor bathroom is nice and having an outside sink close to the camp site is convenient. At certain times of day the road noise is noticable, but at night it turned quiet and the singing tree frogs took over. With great value for money, I highly recommend this spot for animal-loving campers!

I recently bought this place from a friend's family. The name is in honor of him, "Bruzas in Bumps & Bruzas." He loved having people out all the time for fires and BBQs and just random fun. This place was went meant to be shared in his vision, so thats what I'm doing with it. We no longer allow dogs due to my dogs no longer being friendly to visiting dogs after being attacked. Sorry for the inconvenience. The setup is simple, we are a property on the Carbon River with nearly 800ft of river front access. The levee runs along the length of the property creating continuous camping availability. Please honor the property and adopt the LEAVE NO TRACE habits~ if possible please leave it better than you found it. We're a casual family friendly environment. Visit Vashon Island and relax on this private estate property. Camp near the bluff, overlooking Puget Sound, walk the trail down to the beach and enjoy 1000 ft. of secluded beach. You can camp in the field by the bluff, or in the forest on either side of the driveway. The island boasts great coffee hangouts, galleries, wineries, restaurants (Earthen, The Ruby Brink, The Hardware Store Restaurant), Snapdragon and others. Minglement, the Burton Coffee Stand, and Cafe Olio Vino have great coffee. Thriftway is a great grocery store. The Burton Store is worth a visit if you are coming from the Tacoma/Pt. Defiance ferry as you will pass it on your way to the property. There a galleries, shops and restaurants in the town of Vashon and also in Burton. Vashon Center for the Arts, O-Space and the Chamber of Commerce have events that might be of interest. Bikes, E-bikes, paddle boards and kayaks can be rented from Vashon Adventures and Vashon Bikes.They also rent tents and some camping equipment. Outdoor fires are by permission only. There are sometime burn bans for air quality and/or high fire danger. Generally, fires are allowed AT THE BEACH, below the high tide line, between October 1 and June 15, but there are various reasons they may not be allowed (air quality bans, windy conditions, etc.) Any fire you light must be put out COLD (no steam, no heat) with water and buried with sand before leaving them unattended. You are responsible for any damage or injuries caused by a fire you start, so please be careful! Please note: It is very important that the number of people on site is accurate. Please contact Hipcamp to change the number of people - there currently is no way to do that on the site?! There is an additional charge per person above the base 2 person rate. If for some reason hipcamp doesn't automatically add in this charge, so we will request it separately. It must be paid in full prior to arrival. There is no outdoor music at any time. Quiet hours are 8 pm to 10 am. There is no picnic table or any amenities, but you can fill up water at our barn if needed. DO NOT USE THE WOODS AS A BATHROOM. It is necessary to bring your own latrine. Please clean up after your pet. Dogs must be leashed AT ALL TIMES in the field. If no one is around at the beach, they can be off leash, but leash up if anyone approaches until they pass. Please never leave your dog unattended outside where barking will disturb the peace. Jerrett was a wonderful host and met us upon arrival with great recommendations of places to explore on his beautiful property. The camp sites are clean, private, and have fire pits, and benches provided. We took the roped trail down to the creek (bring gloves its a bit steep) and saw large groups of salmon swim upstream. This time of year is magical with the dropping leafs and lush moss/fungus sightings. Highly recommend if you're looking for a quick getaway from the city to connect to nature.
