We loved camping with our tent trailer at Woodland Grove. There are amenities we never thought there would be (kayak, paddleboard, lifejackets and a plethora of art supplies and artwork!) We were disappointed when we first arrived on the island because there was a burn ban but DELIGHTED when we arrived at the property and saw that the host had provided a propane firepit for us to enjoy campfires! What a kind gesture! The host did not come to the property uninvited but kept in touch via the hipcamp app to ensure there was nothing we were lacking. That included a brief message when we had a light rain to ask if we were staying dry! We will definitely be returning!

What a gorgeous camping spot right on the sound! Beautiful views, wonderful place to paddle board and fish from. The outdoor warm shower, with a view was heavenly! There was a burn ban and the host provided a really nice propane fire pit. That was a nice surprise. The host had outstanding communication and was super friendly and cared that we felt comfortable and taken care of. If your looking for a private camping spot that feels like your far out in nature this is the place!

What a special place! It is a spacious mature forested lot, tucked in between two properties. So while you aren't exactly escaping civilization, looking across to Squaxin Island and watching the harbor seals frolic around Peale Passage will make you feel like you are. The facilities are a little on the rustic side but it's hard to argue with the magic of a hot water outside shower. We had an absolute blast paddle boarding and digging clams on the beach. I'll definitely be planning another trip back to this fantastic spot.

Property was beautiful and well maintained with lots of amenities/extras and spectacular views! Had such a relaxing time with the sounds of the water and wind through the trees and a fun paddle on the sound. Super responsive and thoughtful hosts. Thank you for sharing your beautiful property!

Lovely spot right on the water. We had a wonderful relaxing day exploring the beach and watching a slow summer sunset. Sarah’s a great host, and the campsite was as described.

We loved this tranquil stay by the water. Plenty of space for two vehicles to park. Picnic table and fire pit by the water. Running water, compost toilet, and even a shower all very near. Favorite part was exploring the shore at low tide and seeing live clams and tiny crab families.

What a special spot! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our night there and would definitely be up for returning. We especially enjoyed watching a kingfisher hunting and the sunset. Really lovely! Bring your sleeping masks because there are lights on all night long, but otherwise this was a really wonderful spot to unwind.

One of the most amazing Hipcamp places I have stayed. The views can’t be beat and it such a peaceful out of the way place. It was the perfect mix of tent camping with just enough amenities to make tent life a little easier. The fridge and outdoor shower were amazing. My 4 year old grandson was able to stay busy on the beach and in the surrounding trees all day. He said it was his best days ever! We will definitely be back.

Amazing place! Our family of four has the best time there. Huge site with lots of room for tents and canopies. Our daughter loved the “art room” and spent lots of time in there with the provided art supplies. The outdoor hot shower was helpful after exploring the beaches every day. It has tons of shade which came in handy during some hot afternoons, but also plenty of sun closer to the fire pit. The toilet is mostly private. While you can’t see anything from the main camping area it has some open sections. We didn’t have any problems just letting others know when we needed to use it but something to know. There were outlets to let us charge our things when needed and having a fridge was a huge luxury.
Best of all was how quiet it was, especially at night. We heard no road traffic or any noise at all in the evenings. There were a few boaters and a few people walking the beach during the day but other than that super peaceful.
The hosts were very communicative and friendly and offered us use of their kayaks and even had a wheelbarrow of wood ready for us when we arrived!

My friend and I loved it out here. We came at the start of July, the meadow was full of blooming sweet pea flowers and we had a blue heron that visited the shoreline in front of us multiple times. Great spot to paddle board and kayak! The fridge, outdoor shower and cooking spot were all great. We definitely plan to come back.

We had such a great stay - stunning campsite with water and electricity for our small cargo trailer. The site has great beach access but felt very private with options for both sun and shade. It's also dog friendly and our dog loved every minute of it. They also have a toilet which was super nice to have!
We found oysters and clams on the beach and cooked them up! We will definitely be returning.
Sarah was very friendly and responsive, strongly recommend this site!!!

We had a wonderful time at this hipcamp! The place is amazing. Beach front, hot outdoor shower, and full size fridge! We definitely will be back! Heads up to campers its a long dirt road and I don't recommend long trailers. Its a tight turn. They do have multiple hookups though! The view speaks for its self...
