Please be aware that you can hear the logging trucks on 508 but you will have a visually private space. Also due to change in local ordinance not of our making, there is a 2 week maximum stay. You can let your dog run off leash in the fenced in yard and explore the woods out back although steep.

Offering a lovely, personal campsite area surrounded by beautiful trees nestled in the back of a ranch with horses (and chickens) just on the outskirts of the small, charming town of Yelm. (In some of the pictures you will see the horses in the area of the camp, but whenever there are campers they will not be turned out there.) There is 20 amp electric (which can safely power a 30 amp rv unless you run too many things at once) and water (hose). There is a porta-potty and a shower shed with a tankless water heater for your convenience. We also offer the option of a small bunk room in the barn. Heated and cooled (fan) with a small "kitchen" area, it has a pull out futon which sleeps 2 and requires you supply your own bedding and towels. 1 Hour to Mt. Rainier National Park. 1 1/2 hours to Olympia National Park. 2 1/2 hours to Mt. St. Helens. 1 hour to Seattle. Close to Puget Sound and loads of nature spots. Local hiking and fishing aplenty. Our property is surrounded by nature, yet only a 5 minute drive into town where you will find charming shops, restaurants, cafes and coffee houses. There is also a fabulous movie theater. And only 15 minutes to the Red Wind Casino. There is a railroad track next to the property, but it is only used on Tues. and Thurs. between 10 am and 1 pm when a short train passes by and then returns. Rarely, it may have an additional passing but not often and it has never run after dark or early morning. (It is a military train so pretty punctual). (Also, as we are only a 5 acre property, we are close enough to roads that you may hear some traffic. They are county roads though and not highly traveled for the most part.) **Trigger Warnings: We are near the military base of JBLM and so you will occasionally hear their military doings. Country neighbors occasionally do some target practice, so you may hear some shooting. As we are a horse property, we will also require that everyone sign a release of liability waiver and will require all adults to show legal ID upon arrival. * We require a completed profile with a picture before we accept a booking.

Absolutely beautiful views, privacy and safety, and welcoming hosts who will take care of anything you need quickly and kindly make this site super special! Enjoyed my stay so much I extended it! Lots of wildlife and great walks. Extra amenities like the bathroom, kitchenette and laundry really were a huge bonus and added extra comfort to RV life! Giant park down the road, but the entire yard is fenced to allow doggy romping! My pup was in heaven. And there is also an adorable Airbnb room in the house if you have friends with you! Very cute town in the country full of friendly neighbors! A must visit!

We had a wonderful experience staying at Traci and Khris's property. All the communications after we made the reservation were clear and directions and instructions simple. Traci was there to check us in and help get set up. The property is beautiful and quiet with horses and chickens nearby. We stayed there in our travel trailer while doing a kitchen remodel nearby but look forward to going back when we can relax under the beautiful trees around the firepit! Definitely recommend!!

We really enjoyed our time at Witt's End. Jake and his wife put a lot of thought and care into the space they created. It was also fun to watch the salmon coming upstream to spawn. Jacob’s spot is very beautifully setup. Gracious and kind hosts. Nice grassy area and a creek across the street. Note for dog owners - the area is not fenced and there is a vehicle traveled road that is accessible by dogs. We have young and energetic goldens so it just wasn’t the best fit for us but I think it’s a wonderful spot for most.

We had a great relaxing time camping here. The hammock near the horses was great, and the forest we camped next to was beautiful. The farm dogs and cat were very friendly, and we really enjoyed having Traci and Khris introduce us to the horses, teaching us more about horses in general. The outside shower was a bonus too. We'll hope to be back.

Beautiful place to stay! The backyard is so so special and the house itself was very comfortable and cozy. The hosts were great, I had a bit of a special request and they were so kind and flexible! They left some treats for us and even grabbed a little vegan treat for me:) the outdoor tubs were absolutely incredible!! I would absolutely love to stay here again!

Witt's End is a well maintained and beautifully landscaped piece of property, that you get all to yourself!! And as a bonus...there is a private creek area to enjoy just across the street. My husband and I really felt blessed to spend a few days there relaxing, playing games, or just sitting and watching the creek run by. We highly recommend it and hope to enjoy it again in the future. We were greeted warmly by his parents Rob & Tricia. Tricia is real warrior; she gives me hope and I wish her an abundance of future health and happiness! And although we did not get to meet. Sarah was very responsive and accommodating for us to stay on her property and especially for our dogs! We parked with a travel trailer. The site was a very nice private spot that has a concrete pad next to a shed building. There were chairs, a table and a fire pit available, although we didn't use them. We were able to run a long extension cord (husband thinks 75') to reach our camper cord to the shop, plus used a 30 amp to 110 adapter. It was nice to have power. We have a 31 ft bumper pulled travel trailer and when we pulled in we didn't think we could make the turn to back in. We were given instructions on where to turn around at and luckily my husband can maneuver while towing because he made it work even with slide-out out! If you are not confident or comfortable turning a longer rig into tighter spaces I wouldn't recommend it. If you have a shorter length you shouldn't have any issues. It's not that it was a tight space, more like our trailer is 31 ft long and hard to turn in some areas to back in. The trailer ended up fitting great. There was shade on 3 sides and we stayed hooked on overnight. I thought it was just fantastic that Sarah offers laundry, toilet and shower. We did not use them. The 2 best parts were the quietness and the fenced area she allowed dogs to run in. Our dogs were in heaven! After being on leashes for over 2 weeks they loved every second of the yard. We even saw a deer walk thru. I highly recommend this spot. Great experience.

I absolutely loved my short but sweet stay here. The property was beautiful and peaceful, and I instantly felt welcomed by the hosts. They were kind, easy-going, and made me feel right at home from the start. Unfortunately, I had to leave earlier than planned and wasn’t able to stay the whole night—but I truly appreciated their understanding and how gracious they were about it. I would absolutely come back and recommend this spot to anyone looking for a kind, peaceful place to rest.
