Rainier Railroad Train and Museum begins in Elbe and does a turn around here in Mineral. The Rail Peddle Cycles start a short distance south of Mineral. Mt Rainier is 32 minutes away while Mount St. Helens is 2 hours away. Alder Lake is about 20 minutes away as well as several other lakes are within an hour. There are many hiking trails in the surrounding area.

"Osborne's Den" (tiny A-Frame Cabin) and "The Moose Site" (a full hook up RV/Camp site) both nestled on this quaint 1/2 acre lot (they rent separately... not together). Just minutes from Mt. Rainier National Park.
"Osborne's Den" has basic power inside the building and a water spigot just outside. There is a queen sized bed (you bring your own bedding).

Enjoy your own private lakefront escape on Tanwax Lake with your own large private dock to boat, fish, kayak or swim from. The property is setup with the ability to accommodate 2 recreational vehicles with full hook ups (30 amp power, water, sewer). Or bring a tent(s) and use the fully plumbed outdoor restroom including a toilet, urinal and sink. We have a couple of Kayaks and a paddle boat that you are free to enjoy. One minute walk to salmon fishing and river swimming hole and one mile walk to stores in Morton. Laundry and simple indoor shower and toilette. We live in home on property. Please be aware that you can hear the logging trucks on 508 but you will have a visually private space. Also due to change in local ordinance not of our making, there is a 2 week maximum stay. You can let your dog run off leash in the fenced in yard and explore the woods out back although steep.

This cabin is peaceful. It had everything we needed for comfort. It is maintained with thoughtfulness. The cabin is clean and stocked with supplies making it easy to care for while there. The weather was very cold (26 to 38 degrees) as expected and we stayed toasty,
The roads are well maintained and the mountain spectacular.
We will come back when we can spend more time outside enjoying the grounds and exploring.
This was a fabulous place to retreat and spend time with friends.
Our dog was so happy, she is part husky and was in her element outside. She loved it. We all did.

I loved camping at this spot by the river. It was so conveniently close to Mt. Rainier, just off the road but far enough to only hear the river rather than the road. The bathrooms we clean, the campsites were well situated, and it couldn’t have been better!

The A-frame was perfect for an elevated camping experience just outside of Mt. Rainier NP. The heater kept us warm throughout the night, and the A-frame was stocked with headlamps, flashlights, TP, camping chairs, even roasting sticks! We mostly used it as a home base to sleep at, as we spent a majority of the time in the national park. Jayson was very responsive which we appreciated as well!

Absolutely beautiful views, privacy and safety, and welcoming hosts who will take care of anything you need quickly and kindly make this site super special! Enjoyed my stay so much I extended it! Lots of wildlife and great walks. Extra amenities like the bathroom, kitchenette and laundry really were a huge bonus and added extra comfort to RV life! Giant park down the road, but the entire yard is fenced to allow doggy romping! My pup was in heaven. And there is also an adorable Airbnb room in the house if you have friends with you! Very cute town in the country full of friendly neighbors! A must visit!

If you want to sit in relative quiet with a lovely view, this is a recommended spot. Owner’s communication was outstanding. NOTE: If you have dogs, there isn’t much room to roam due to blackberry bushes and neighboring property owner. NOTE: The neighboring property owner was quiet and kept their dogs fenced, but you’ll need to keep a close eye on your own dogs to ensure that they respect the property boundary. .
