Waterfall Sanctuary is a hidden gem on 17 acres, bordered on two sides by the Gifford Pinchot N F. In the heart of the Columbia River Gorge just outside Carson, Washington. It's home to a mini-farm with goats, ducks, & chickens. Deer & elk walk through the property on a fairly regular basis depending on the season, it's less than a mile walk (or short drive) to the Wind River with a swimming hole, & a short distance further to the Pacific Crest Trail.
A 20-minute drive & you're at the Columbia River. An hour to the West is Portland if you are in the mood for some city life, & 35 minutes east is Hood River, a gorgeous old town with tons of charm. The closest town, Stevenson, Washington is home to shops, local restaurants, & access to the Columbia River.
Also in close proximity are amazing waterfalls, trails, & National Forest roads that are close by & well maintained. No matter the season there is something to do a short distance from the property.
Keep in mind that the property is very rugged except for the trails we have provided to access other parts of the property. We are as off grid & sustainable as possible- while no electricity or running water is available at the individual sites, we provide battery or solar operated lighting, a container of water for each site.

We are located on a very private property (the only houses you will see are across the inlet) surrounded by nature but only about 10 minutes from downtown Olympia and 5 minutes from I-5 and Lacey.
The property is situated on the very south end of Henderson Inlet. We are on the tide flats so twice a day (at high tide) we have the opportunity to explore on the water in canoes and kayaks. The property is spread over 16 acres and is comprised of two large fields (one in front of our home and the other is a smaller meadow off to the side (hidden meadow) and forest land. There is tons of space for playing, exploring and tiring out your kids and pups!
Wildlife is abound with eagles, hawks, owls, falcons, shore birds and a variety of forest birds make this place their home. We are also frequented by the local deer who wonder through and say hi.
About the campground:
The campground is located in the far northeast corner of the property on the edge of the forest and meadow. In the common areas you will find the porta potty, shower and sink. There is also a supply closet that has the yard games and extra supplies. There is a hot tub situated right on the edge of the forest with peek-a-boo views of the inlet. You will also find garbage and recycling bins.
There are trails throughout the forest along the 600 feet of water (tide) front. Along the trails you will find several different benches, seats and swings to relax and enjoy nature from. There are also fairies and gnomes who have been sighted in the forest. If you look closely, you might spot one too! We ware, if you touch a fairy or gnome they do lose their magical powers so please respect the mystical creatures. 😊
The sites are about 500 feet from our house and offer great privacy. You may see us throughout the day and evening coming and going from the campground, working on the property or playing with the kids on the trails!

At 180 acres Glendale Farm in Chimacum, in operation since 1857, is one of the largest single agricultural properties remaining in Jefferson County. The farm includes prime agricultural soils, over half a mile of East Chimacum Creek, and forested areas. The easement protects a buffer zone for salmon and wildlife habitat along the east fork of Chimacum Creek and protects the agricultural and forestry values of the property forever. Jefferson Land Trust and collaborative partners purchased the easement to Insure Glendale farm maintains agricultural practices and wildlife habitat forever! Please be aware this is a working farm with poultry, livestock, and the use of farm equipment providing a great experience for farm life.
Glendale Farm experienced a devastating loss in 2022 when the primary residence burned down. Since then, we have been engaged in a long-term restoration effort, including extensive cleanup from an extreme hoarding situation.
Please wear sturdy shoes at all times, as we are still carefully removing glass and other sharp debris from parts of the property. You may encounter old farm equipment, a few derelict RVs, and other remnants of the site's history as we continue this work.
We appreciate your patience as we gradually improve the farm with future showers, a communal kitchen, gathering spaces, and enhanced landscaping. Your stay directly supports these ongoing improvements.

We have an acre of land with an orchard, grapes, blueberries, raspberries, tons of flowers and peace and quiet except for some traffic on Veazie Cumberland Rd. There is a tree farm across the street from the campsite and a blueberry farm across Veazie. Picking time for blueberries is end of July into August. Deep lake is four miles from our house as well as Kanaskit State Park with a river. Mt Rainier is about 45 minutes away. Mt Peak, 1000 ft hike, is 4 miles toward Enumclaw from us.

For an additional fee, a wheel barrel full of good dry wood for $25.00 all payable directly to Bruce/Lynn at check out. We live on property but you’ll have 100% privacy at river. The listing is for eight people on the property but if you choose to bring additional guest, it will be five dollars per night per guest ages 5 and above up to an additional 8 people for a total of 16 people. Payable directly to Bruce and Lynn at check out. Do NOT INCLUDE EXTRAS IN YOUR RENTAL FEE today. We do ask you to list everyone 5 and above so we know who will be on property. We are a recycle family so please use our recycle bins, but you must take out your own garbage when you leave. We will provide you with two large garbage bags.
We ask that you remove your shoes while in yurts. Animals are welcome and they can be inside the yurts, but NOT on furniture/beds. Also, we provide doggie poo bags, and a shovel so pick up what they leave behind them.
We have a camp box that can be rented if you want to camp but do not have typical camping supplies. You can fish from our rivers edge, but you must have a fishing license and know the fishing regulations in order to not be fined.
For the 4th of July, min. 3-day rental is required. Please note neighbors can be very loud celebrating during this time. We cannot ask them to be quiet. This is recreational property so keep that in mind

Cowlitz River Cabins offers seasonal river access. An authentic Tipi to choose from for your vacationing pleasure. You have your own private HOT TUB and fire pit situated on 6 acres in park-like setting in the Packwood/Randle, area of Washington. Please note there are three other cabins on the 6 acres. Our Tatoosh Tipi is located near the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, Goat Rocks Wilderness and the Tatoosh Mountain Range. We are centrally located between Mt. Rainier, Mt St. Helens, Mt. Adams and White Pass Recreation area.
Our Tatoosh Tipi has a full bed and has the option to have 4 additional cots. The outdoor kitchen area has a mini fridge, Blackstone Grill, Charcoal Grill, Coffee maker and most utensils that you may need.
The bathhouse has sink, toilet, and shower. The private hot tub is a two person.

Walking distance from multiple hiking trails, rock climbing and our land is right on the Iron horse biking trail offering hundreds of miles east and a short ride to town for food. Theres also majestic River park behind the back gate that stretches about another mile of superb nature without getting back in your vehicle.
On the property there's magic and fun scattered everywhere to discover. We have many beautiful curated structures... a Saloon themed treehouse with heated floors a sink and toilet, a cozy yurt with propane stove, the adorable luna bell tent with cot, Glamping pallet hut and teepee that work well with camp pad and sleeping bag. Camp trails connect you to 38 acres of Conservation and Creek area and the iconic Olympic Discovery Trail.

Was such a wonderful time! Tyla was a wonderful host, the property she has cultivated is stunning with lots of wild flowers and different lodging spots. The stargazer tent was perfect for our group of 5. The goats were so cute! Lots of chickens running around. We went to a swimming hole near bye which was lovely and had lots of river rocks to find.
There’s a little cafe where you can get cute crafts, coffee and other snacks, or supplies if anything is forgotten! I definitely will be coming back in the future.

Stayed in the sun tent on a trip to Mt. Rainier and it was so nice I hated to leave! The electricity and communal kitchen + fridge was very nice. Definitely a great glamping spot. I’d love to come back. Was nervous about service and the composting toilet but I had nice service and the toilet area didn’t smell!

Thank you Beth for the lovely stay and warm welcome at Hobson farm. We traveled to Bellingham for a bike&music festival and decided to try hipcamp as so many hotels in town booked out or just crazy money for a motel-type stay. There's no comparison to how much more fun our small kids (ages5&6) had at the yurt - petting dogs and feeding trout and being beside a fire at night. Another unexpected highlight was the beautiful towns of Bow & Edison which we'd never discover otherwise. My husband and kids berated me for not booking two nights. Usually not as good a 'camper' as me, my husband was the one who had the best night sleep, and didn't want to leave. LOVED IT!

Weekend Trip to Glenrose Flower & Forage Farm
The space was perfect. It was quiet, romantic, and a beautiful view of the field/sunset. We had three dogs in that enjoyed it very much. We saw deer in the field in the evening and enjoyed a walk around the property. Only suggestion would be to be to possibly fence in the patio all the way so we could let the dogs out and not leashed the entire time but we still had a relaxing oasis.

Waterfall Sanctuary is a magical paradise.
Tyla is fantastic host. The property has chickens, goats and ducks. There is a trail that loops around the property.
I stayed in the Stargazer tent. Laying in bed and watching the stars was one of the coolest things I’ve ever done.
I would definitely recommend this campground and hoping to go back soon.

We had a lovely stay the Waterfall Sanctuary. We love to camp but had flown into the PNW so didn’t have all our gear. Glamping at the waterfall sanctuary was the perfect camping solution. The Bloom Cafe has all kinds of snacks, drinks, treats, ice, and even “just add water” meals. You could show up with no food and buy what you need there if you wanted. We enjoyed using the grill to cook though. Tyla is a great resource for things to do in the area: hikes, swimming holes, scenic drives, restaurants, etc.

Our stay at the Waterfall Sanctuary was an absolute dream! It is such a beautiful and peaceful space, and it's clear how creative and thoughtful Tyla and team are in crafting the perfect experience for their guests. We loved chatting with the goats and chickens, admiring all the wildflowers, taking a refreshing dunk at the swimming hole, and gazing at the stars through the top of our tent. We will definitely be back and can't recommend this place enough!

This is such a lovely camp on a beautiful property.
The tents are far enough away to allow privacy with decent shade from the trees. The bed was firm and comfy. There is enough room on the deck of the tent for a yoga mat or an on ground camping chair. It was a perfect spot for me to read. It was easy to find a sturdy post to make a long lead for my dog.
The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies, ample counter space, and a system to be able to keep a short cooler stashed without curious forest animals getting into them. There is a french press for any curious folks. The communal areas and string lights on the tents make for a romantic, cozy, relaxing vibe. The restrooms were checked multiple times daily with an echo friendly system that diminishes if not eliminates smells. Since I was traveling solo with my dog, it was lovely to have plenty of room to tie him and comfortably take my shower.
The fourth of July fireworks around the area were quiet and far enough away I didn't have to medicate my dog for his anxiety. In general the camp was quietly serene.
Timber was such a gracious host. My dog adored him! I am definitely coming back next year for the holiday weekend.

3 nights at Clear Light Valley Retreat
Wr had a wonderful stay at this campsite. Very green and lush, but surprisingly not too many mosquitoes in this area. There's access to a stream and a little area with a hammock. There're little berry bushes here and there; and pond with salamanders and frogs singing at night. Overall very lovely.
DeAnn is such an incredibly nice and amazing host. It was forecasted to be rainy and cold for our first night, and in that afternoon she offered to have us cancel that night with full night's refund and come in the next morning. She also offered the cabin shower to us because the cabin happened to be empty. A great, communicative, kind, and lovely host!
The drive to the site is a little bit off-road and challenging. But we had a AWD and it was definitely doable - you get used to it and it's no problem.

Our family had a great time at this site. Beth and her husband were such a great hosts. Our toddler was so happy feeding the fishes in the spring/pond and played with the dogs at the site. Additionally, Beth accommodated our big group of 8 and allowed us to pitch tents close to the Yurts where our family were staying at. My family was so happy with this trip. Thank you for hosting us!
