Our 17 acre slice of heaven is tucked back off the county road and up against the little chapman mountain. Large white oaks and Tulip Poplar trees are the main attraction along with the Mayapples in spring and the fall colors are terrific.
The campsites are in the woods and around the field a good distance away from the house. There are walking trails and a pond and a hammock for relaxing, close to great hiking, summits and waterfalls, 50 minutes to Old Rag. Many local wineries to discover and many historical sites including Montpelier and Monticello and Charlottesville and UVA.

3/5/26. Spring has sprung! Plenty of free firewood at this time. You might need some fire starter because it sits unprotected.
Camp is wooded acreage centrally located between Massanutten Resort and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Currently very, very basic with improvements happening weekly. Currently 2WD is okay and some clearance preferred like Outback sized vehicles over all. A van can fit in site #3 (The Vanner) but will take a multi point turns to come and go. Country vibe but NOT remote. Close to restaurants, and outdoor activities near by making it a great BASE for activities such as mountain biking, road biking, hiking, skiing/boarding, and the floating/fishing on the South Fork of the Shenandoah River. A safe / legal place to park for the night. There is a hwy nearby so there is some noise from that but it doesn’t seem to bother most. Sites are priced for the amenities they have or don’t and due to location.
SUP and Kayaks available free to campers upon request most weekends April 15 to Oct 15 (Campers must be able to transport)

Located just minutes from Shenandoah National Park, we offer intimate nature-inspired cottages and camping on our 120-acre working farm. Camper vans are welcome at the main farm!
Our farm store includes our Animal Welfare Approved products such as Eggs, Chicken, Beef, Pork, Lamb and Dairy, as well as produce, jams, coffee and other items from our local community. We offer camping essentials, local art, bike rentals, farm experiences and tours.
The property has miles of trails along mountain spring-fed streams, a small pond and access to three private acres on the Robinson River, a stocked Trout stream, just 2 miles down the road. Our property is centrally located to White Oak Canyon (20 minutes) and Old Rag Mountain (10 minutes) trailheads in the Shenandoah National Park as well as many vineyards and breweries.

Bring family or a few friends and enjoy nature at its best. We offer a grassy meadow large enough for you to bring your own (up to 32') RV or travel trailer, car camping, and or tents and use our primitive site at the edge of 37 wooded acres.
Perfect for weekend or week long getaway! Bring your walking boots, mountain and or electric bike and enjoy numerous trails throughout the property abundant with wildlife. Devils Run lies along the rear of the property and the lower trail are often wet but you should be able to walk on the outer edges of the trail. We have cleared a couple of spots where you can walk all the way to Devils Run.
Kovi Bear Camp and surrounding woods are home to several bear so we suggest you keep you food and trash locked in your vehicle so Kovis' bears don't make off with your lunch or dinner. We have lots of birds, rabbits, foxes, turkey and deer. Check out the cabin security camera pics we caught of the bear, mink, and bobcats.
No tents, chairs, firewood or other accessories provided except for a 42" firepit/grill and a Port-a-potty. *Bundles of firewood available when booking, as extra.
We also rent out our 1 bedroom log cabin (Kovi Bear Cabin) as an Airbnb. Please do not venture down the driveway past the designated grassy hipcamp area to the cabin and surrounding yard, those amenities are reserved specifically for our Airbnb guests only.
We provide a Port-A-Potty on site, however, there is no electric, no potable water, and no trash bins available for our hipcamp guests. Leave no trace. You are required to pack out all of your trash and leave our campsite clean for future guests. Pets are welcome but they are not allowed to wander freely and you must clean up after them.
**NO hunting and NO motorcycles/4wheelers/side by sides allowed.** The driveway and entry into the camp area are monitored by trail cameras for security. They are not hidden and in plain site. We added pics taken from these cameras so you know where they are.

116 acres of forrest, hills and dells. Miles of hiking trails marked and well maintained. A small pond and beautiful labyrinth. Over 50 acres of deep wilderness woods. General Lee and his troops once camped here. But they cleaned up pretty good, so all you can really see is the old spring and wagon road. This is a working herb and small fruit farm. We have been experimenting with all kinds of exotic herbs and trees. Some make it, many don't. We sell dried herb teas. In addition we have 5 different kinds of bamboo. We use the bamboo for so many things.
Camptown is our largest site. It features a large fire pit and a circular field that can accomodate 10 to 15 or more tents. You can also park smaller camper vans, teardrops, etc. in this large area. Good for parties, family reunions.
The "# person" per site listing considers adults, not children... bring a whole crew of kids (try to have enough supervision - if there is such a concept!) The kids have such a great time out here... it is amazing. They love the labyrinth! By the way, that labryinth entrance is behind the kiosk. It's the largest of it's kind in North America.
It seems like we made this place for the kids in ourselves and when actual kids see it they go wild. The last bunch were running and yelping with their picked flowers all round and round in the labyrinth for hours!
Also, if you want peace and quiet we have beautiful remote campsites away from all the kids running around the labryinth whooping it up. (sites 4 - 6 - 8 - 9 - 10)

The mountain views and sunset from the site were beautiful! Directions from the host were clear and the pasture area was level and well kept. Vickie and her husband were friendly and made sure we were all settled in. The location was convenient for visiting Luray Caverns and Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park. We definitely would stay there again.

Easy breezy! We arrived late and a “late arrivals” packet was waiting for us. Our site was clean and the hookups worked perfectly. The trash area was also clean. The little store was really cute but limited - so come prepared.
Neighbors were quiet. Views beautiful!
They even have a dog park!!

After a 5 day stay last year, it was a no-brainer to spend a night here when traveling through this year. We got pizza at the food truck, parked beside Elkton Brewery and had a tasty brew while waiting. Love the view and friendly hosts at Awesome Views. Thanks, and hope to see you again.
