Our pads are extra wide, level, and extra long complete with a fire pit and picnic table. Sites are located in a grassy field surrounded by forest. Our 70 acre property boasts scenic views, two small ponds with fish to feed, and marked hiking trails. This is a perfect place for star gazing. It's our hope that you will find genuine peace and relaxation here. Due to requests a second site was created in February '22. If you should ever decide that you want to leave this quiet haven, consider an adventure to: NASCAR North Wilkesboro Speedway 18 miles, Wilkesboro/N. Wilkesboro (Merelefest, Faithfest, Brushy Mountain Apple Festival) 16 miles, West Jefferson 28 miles, Stone Mountain State Park 24 miles, Boone 43 miles, Tweetsie Railroad 46 miles, Grandfather Mtn 56 miles, Mt. Airy (Mayberry) 53 miles. We have had several 40+ft rigs stay with us with no issue. For those not accustomed to mountain travel or new drivers please know that travel off NC 18 on the state road is a typical two lane paved mountain road with curves, some of which will require you to swing wide, a couple of areas of moderate incline but that does not exceed 8%, a short state maintained gapped section of gravel and an occasional low hanging branch. At the campsites there is a slight incline and some loose gravel. Caution: Wildlife present in the area including bear, bobcat, deer, turkey.

Welcome to Peak A View Farm & Camp where Rest and Relaxation are a Reality! Come enjoy the beautiful landscape of the western mountains in Ashe County, NC on ninety acres of farmland and forest surrounded by mountain peaks, the New River and breathtaking sunsets. On the drive in, to the southeast you can see Peak Mountain for which the property was named. The mountain is part of the New River State Park and is known for its scenic river views and hiking trails. Two RV buddy campsites are available on the property. Campsite #1 was originally created for our personal use. Campsite #2, so our fellow camping buddies could join us. Although a short drive from our homes, the serenity of the property always makes us feel as if we’ve travelled many miles. Campsites are laid out in an ‘L’ shape which creates the perfect group camping experience. Guests can choose to camp alone or invite others. Campsite 1 and 2 are reserved together as one booking due to the close proximity of the sites. The property is secluded, but easily accessible. Campsites are full hookups which include water, sewer and 50 amp electric. Both sites can accommodate any size RV. They are gravel and level which makes getting set up easy. A 30 x 30 shelter with concrete floor, lights, picnic tables and trash bin is nearby, which is a great asset in any weather. A fire pit and chairs are a nice addition for evening enjoyment. Firewood is provided. WiFi is available. The area is pet friendly. Pets can be off leash, however, you might consider leashing your pet, as wildlife is frequently seen. If your furry friend is anything like our dogs, the chase is on when a deer, squirrel or turkey makes a sudden appearance! During your stay, take a 7/10 mile walk down to the New River. Pull up one of the chairs on the small covered deck overlooking the river, sit back and take in the sounds of the calming waters. Watch floaters, kayakers and canoe navigators pass by or enjoy your own floating, fishing and swimming. On the other side of the river is part of the New River State Park. A 15 minute drive will take you to downtown West Jefferson for restaurants and shopping. Beautiful property. Our families enjoyed the peace and quiet. Little to no traffic along the road. I think we saw 10 cars all weekend! And the River is gorgeous. We definitely want to get back in the summer and enjoy some tubing. And town is less than a 20 minute drive to enjoy restaurants and shopping. Thanks Steve and Penny.

The space was so well maintained. With only 2 spots and spread out we felt very secluded and private. We loved the campfire ring on the back of the space under the tree cover. We did have a problem getting our camper up the entrance hill but they were great, got a tractor and pulled us up! Talk about service! They have trails on their lot but we headed out to Stone Mountain and Roaring River Vineyard for the day - would recommend both. We would definitely come back…once we have a better truck 😊

Great place to stay! Host are great people and very welcoming. The campsite is very private and has amazing views. We enjoyed relaxing fires every night and watching the fog lift to coffee in the morning. The access to the river is a huge plus. The trail to get to the river is beautiful itself, but the river front is perfect. Our dogs enjoyed running around and we enjoyed relaxing by the water. This place is added to our list of sites that we will be returning to in the future.

It was great. We loved having our meals out under the pavilion, rain or shine. It was also wonderful letting the dogs run around unleashed. They were able to run out some energy and crash. The river is truly picturesque. Steve and Penny were quick to respond and very accommodating.
