Wild Toad Lake
As they say, 3's a charm! Actually all 3 of our stays at WTL were true charms. This time we stayed 5 days and never once left the site. We've logged over 60 camping trips in the past 5 years and WTL tops the list. Patti and Steve are great hosts. Everything you need is there. And if not they'll see that you get it! Looking forward to our next stay!

Everything was just as described. It was very clean and kept up. Tons of extras at the kitchen area and bathroom! Floats, kayaks and paddle board was very nice to have access to as well. The shower area was very nice to be able to use with warm water. Very private and beautiful place to camp for certain!!!!

Wild Toad Lake
We loved camping at WTL and meeting our hosts, Patty and Steve. Patty was very responsive to any of my preparation questions no matter how many I asked! The facilities were in great condition and very thoughtfully put together and laid out. The natural features were beautiful. We would stay here again without question!

Wild Toad Lake
This is our second time staying at Wild Toad Lake and we will definitely be returning. This is one of our favorite spots to go camping. Patricia is always amazing and very responsive. The site has everything we needed. We’re already looking forward to our next trip!

We absolutely love Wild Toad Lake! This was our second stay at the lake, and we plan to keep returning. Our dog loves getting in the water as much as we do on a hot summer day. The sit-on-top kayaks and paddle board were so much fun for the adults and the kids—so appreciative that Patty and Steve have PFDs/floaties for all ages! We love being able to see the stars at night while listening to the toad’s and frogs’ conversations. The pit toilet is kept so clean, and the pavilion with fridge and stove and running cold and hot well water is such a convenience for us who are used to backpacking. This time, the well pump was disabled by a nearby evening lightning strike that affected all the wells in the area, but we were able to purchase a few gallons at the convenience store listed in the WTL hosts’ binder to finish making dinner and texted Patty and Steve who brought us several more gallons in the morning and immediately contacted the well company who came out the same day to replace the pump. Things happen, and it’s how we respond that matters: Patty and Steve swung into action wonderfully. Thanks you two for another great retreat from the grind!

We absolutely loved camping at Wild Toad Lake. The property had all the amenities we could want, and was clean & well-maintained. The kids loved swimming in the lake and going down the slide, and the covered pavilions offered comfortable shade and rain shelter — we already can’t wait to go back!

Absolutely fantastic is the best way to describe Patricia and Steve's site! Not only is it the most well thought out and stocked facility we have ever visited, the beauty of the location is unparalleled. To top it off, the host's are the friendliest people you will ever encounter. You can't go wrong with booking Wild Toad Lake and we hope to return in the future!

Our second trip to Wild Toad Lake was absolutely perfect. My only issue is that I did not book more than 2 nights. We are hoping to come back next year for longer. This place is paradise and ran by some very kind and thoughtful folks. I cannot wait to go back!

The site was absolutely amazing! It was private and rustic yet still had all the amenities you could want! Having the entire area to ourselves was so pleasant and really gave you the feeling of being in your own little world and could reconnect with nature and each other. Our rescue puppy was able to be truly off leash for the first time ever and being able to let her explore was amazing as well. We will be coming back for longer next time!

This is one of the best Hipcamps I’ve stayed at! Patricia was extremely nice greeting me when I arrived and anything I could have needed was provided. The space is much bigger in person and perfect for larger groups. I camped myself with my dog, it rained the entire time but our tent stayed dry on one of the many decks and we went for peaceful walks around the lake. I would highly recommend this location for anyone wanting privacy in nature with lots of activities!

What a beautiful property! Wonderful views of the lake from the tent sites, and pavilion. Patricia has done a wonderful job with the set up at the pavilion and all the amenities offered. It was amazing to be able to take our entire family, including the dogs and have freedom just to play and relax.

The most picturesque camping site you could ever imagine. The view of the water while sitting on the deck is breathtaking and calming. All the amenities you can think of (it’s actually more glamping to be honest!) and Patty and Steve were such a pleasure to communicate with. We even stayed an extra night because that’s how much we enjoyed it! Super dog friendly too with lots of trails and things to explore. Will definitely be back!

This location is gorgeous!! Very well-maintained trails, pond swimming area, pavilions. We had 4 families as a group, so 14 of us together on the trip. There was plenty for all to do, no matter what they wanted to do! When the sky opened up and we got drenched in rain, we were so grateful for the large covered pavilion! 10/10 for a private campsite - would return!

Wild Toad Lake
We all loved Patricia and Steve's site, including our 2 pups! The pond and amenities were very well maintained. This trip was my friends first time camping and this was the perfect place for her to both enjoy the outdoors and still have some of the conveniences of home. Our dogs got to swim for the first time as well! We had a wonderful time on the water and peaceful nights by the fire. We hope to return soon!

The campsite was beautiful. It poured down rain all weekend, but there was plenty of room for our group to socialize in the shelters. The kids enjoyed kayaking and paddle boarding. The hosts were there to show the first person from our group where everything was. We plan on returning.

We had an awesome stay on Patricia’s land. The amenities, lake, and trails kept us busy all weekend long. Patricia was quick to respond, if we had questions, and very accessible once we got to the site. We hope to return again.

What an absolute slice of heaven. The pictures really don’t do this place justice. Beautiful and clean pond, wonderful hiking trails around the property, and excellent amenities that I didn’t expect! The place is beautiful, quiet, very private and the host is extremely sweet! It was just what I was looking for in a quiet weekend retreat! Multiple options for places to pitch a tent, firewood readily available, and a great outdoor kitchen with a fridge! I went alone with my dog and it felt incredibly safe and beyond relaxing for me and my pup had the time of his life! Go relax and be serenaded to sleep every night by the frogs and woken in the morning to the beautiful melodies of the birds!

Camping at Wild Toad Lake was absolutely magical and a great way to start off Spring for my group and I. We were so impressed with the immaculate pond, it is clearly so well taken care of along with the rest of the property. We enjoyed kayaking, fishing, and bird watching over the water. The kitchen area was another huge high light for us. We enjoyed preparing meals and gathering there. I could not recommend this spot enough and I cannot wait to come back soon!
