Nestled right on the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway, FGCC offers a unique blend of natural beauty and modern amenities, making it an ideal getaway for outdoor enthusiasts and families alike. Located just 3.5 miles south of Fancy Gap, VA on the Blue Ridge Parkway, and a mere 5 miles from I-77, this 22-acre campground features rolling hills, lush woods, and mountain views. Guests can choose from a variety of accommodations, including 13 full hook-up RV sites, 8 comfortable motel rooms, 6 cozy camping cabins, and 3 tent sites. The campground also boasts a bathhouse equipped with five private bathrooms with hot showers and utility sinks. Enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the campground and motel so you can stay connected. FGCC serves as a perfect base for exploring the wonders of southwest Virginia. The only drive-in site, tent 14 is 40 X 20 ft. The site is shaded and has space for tents and trees for hammocks. This site has a charcoal grill, fire ring, picnic table, water, electric and Wi-Fi. Tent 14 is closest to the bath house with five full, private bathrooms that include showers. There are utility sinks as well. Woods and walking trails border the site. Tent 16 is now a combined with tent 15 to provide a large roomy site for campers. This site has a fire ring and cooking grate combination along with a picnic table, water, electric and Wi-Fi. The bath house is a short walk away. There are five separate, full bathrooms with showers and utility sinks. Parking is on the tent roads right next to the site. At the end of the tent road, combined site 17/18 is popular for its privacy and access to the walking trails and woods. The site is not suited for hammock camping, but there is plenty of room tents. There is a fire ring with a cooking grate, a picnic table, water, electric and Wi-Fi. The bath house is an easy walk. There are five full, private bathrooms and utility sinks. RV2 is a 30 foot swing in and out, pull through site that is just right for smaller motorhomes, campers and their tow vehicles, pop ups and truck campers. Fifth wheels don't have quite enough space to unhitch. The full hook-up, gravel site with a picnic table and fire ring is next to our grassy apple orchard, bath house and near the laundry center. If you're travelling with a friend or family, take advantage of sites 1 and 2 to make one big site to share. RV7 is one of our top sites. At 40 feet, it has the apple orchard and grass behind it as well as pear trees to one side. The pear trees provide an additional place to set out chairs or hang up hammocks to enjoy the peace and quiet of the mountains. The site itself is gravel, full hook up and includes a picnic table, fire pit and Wi-Fi. It is also one of the closest sites to the bath house. RV8 is 46 feet long and bordered by woods to the back and the connection side. It's loved because of it's privacy and width, which allows campers to arrange the site to their liking. It is located at a trailhead. Please note that fifth wheels and travel trailers will need trucks with four wheel drive to pull up the hill and back into the site. Motorhomes are fine. The site does have full hook-ups, a picnic table, fire pit and Wi-Fi. Next to other larger, back-in sites, RV8 is one often reserved as part of a group reservation. RVers with a large, tri-axle, fifth wheels: RV 8 or 9 are the best sites for your type of camper.
