The Firefly is nestled between trees, on a loud, rushing creek, on a five acre property that is mostly cleared and on a hard surface dead end rd, a few miles from Hillsville, Va. The firefly is comfortable for a small family or a romantic get away for couples. The creek is stocked with trout, with easy access along the creek, perfect for wading, floating, and relaxing to the noise. The property is gorgeous; the sounds of & easy access to the river were everything we typically want in a campsite! The site accommodations are very well thought of— an outhouse, an outdoor shower, a picnic table, water for handwashing & drinking, etc. We especially loved the hammock & the free-roaming dog policy. We both wanted to stay longer & certainly would have had we had the time on this trip.

Jodee's camp is set with love and creativity. Clean and pretty washroom, outdoor showers are the appreciated features of the rustic comfort. The electrical outlets on sites and a washing machine available - surprisingly present at such a decent price. The creek and the frog's songs after the sunset, the stargazing... we had a relaxing evening and a happy night.

Next time I will stay on the mill side only because it seems like it might be a fun community atmosphere during the summer.
