Greg's spot was so beautiful and away from roads enough that all you could hear was the joy of other campers. I rode over in my Prius, and he helped accommodate my trip by putting me up on a campsite that would be easier on my tires (it was a rainy weekend) I will definitely be returning. There is access to a rice by way of the CNO trail, and so many places to drive to. You can still receive service out there, and it very much a bare bones old school camp style: fire pit, porta pots, Greg is quick to respond and takes care of his guests. Thanks!

I loved my stay at Invisible LOVE house. I slept great and foun it to be very peaceful, enchanting place that exceeded my expectations. It is a true jewel in WV. The hots were delightfully wholsome and I felt like they were are my family. I felt safe and at one with nature in this beautiful cabin, and my dog Zeus loved it too. There are so many heartfelt touches in this enchanting, special place. I will defienly go back as long as they have me. Winnie

My son and I have been coming to this site now three years in row. Greg puts a lot into making it wonderful and he is involved in making things better, always improving the sites, adding infrastructure and support. Looking for some time in nature my son and I booked at stay the Invisible LOVE house. We loved it. We found it to be very peaceful and relaxing. We would definitely stay again. I loved laying in bed and seeing the sky above me. Pablo was very helpful throughout the booking process and stay. There is a bit of a walk from the parking to the house so be mindful of how much you bring in quantity and weight.

Weekend Trip to Taylors Landing Camping Club

Camping at Taylor’s Landing was a great experience. Greg was a great host and we look forward to returning in the future. The camp area had easy access to hiking trails, as well as to the Potomac River. There is also a cave to explore, not far from camp which was awesome. I would highly recommend this camping ground to family and friends.

I loved camping at Almost Heaven. The amenities were clean and well taken care of. The store had everything needed for last minute or needed items. My stay was relaxing with a view of the river and the quiet atmosphere even though it rained all weekend. I will definitely be taking another trip back. Great location. 100 yard walk down the road to Bear Den brewery was perfect to wait out the rain. Nice site with firepits and good flat renting areas and picnic table. Directly off AT so short walks or long hikes are all accessible. The small nature loop to see the view was a dream for an evening walk. Perfect to get out of dc and be totally in the woods within an hour and change drive. And the price is unbelievable, what a value! I’d second the request from another reviewer to add the option to pay the parking fee in the booking! Although they have added a PayPal feature so cash isn’t required any more. Note it’s not private at all. The sites are all clustered in the same clearing. It’s a friendly vibe, and everyone was respectful, and went to bed early. But conversations spoken in normal tone were easily overheard!

1 night at Casita Of LOVE (Panhandle WV)

My husband and I had the absolute pleasure of staying at this magical little spot. While we didn’t get to try the kayaking since our stay was short, we were blown away by the peacefulness and beauty of the river. After a long day of road-tripping, we actually showered in the river. It was crystal clear, cool, and incredibly refreshing. The hosts, Pablo and Lorena, were so kind and accommodating. They had a firepit set up and ready for us. All we had to do was light it. We roasted hotdogs over the fire, buns and all, and ended the night with a pot of their homemade blended tea, which was absolutely to die for. The temperature dropped just enough at night to make sleeping so comfortable. The cabin itself was spotless and well-stocked with everything you could need: games, candles, kitchen gear, a mini fridge, fan, and more. It truly felt like a cozy, thoughtful retreat. And the drive in was stunning. Winding through lush green trees with crisp, clean air made the entire journey feel like part of the adventure. I will absolutely be back. Though I hesitate to share this secret because it’s such a rare find. Pablo and Lorena created something really special here, and they deserve every bit of this review.

It is beautiful, quiet, private spot. Our 2wd van got stuck and Ben's family came to the rescue and towed us out. Our pup Stevie loved running around off leash and made a friend at the neighboring camp. We will come back.

This was my second stay here. As far as camp sites go it’s the perfect combination of secluded and comfortable.

Recommended by a friend and we LOVED IT. What a view! Such serenity out there. GPS cut out about 10 minutes from our destination, and once we got there we had about 1 bar of cell service, just enough for emergencies. Portable toilet was fine, and the nearby FLUSH toilet was even better (and shower omg). Lots of downed trees for extra firewood, but the provided wood was more than enough. Amazing birdsong at all hours of the day and night; owls too! Will be coming back.

We had a wonderful time! It was so quiet and peaceful. We, and our dog, loved relaxing by the creek. We also took advantage of the several hiking trails on the property. There is plenty of space to spread out and enjoy yourself! Hopper is a great greeter and is more than happy to be your tour guide! Our dog was happy to make an unexpected friend! Thank you again! The place is beautiful, what a location. The river was too high when we visited but it’s ok, it was a comfy retreat. Cooked up a storm and then visited Berkeley Springs. Perfect for a weekend getaway. We will be back.

Weekend Trip to Beespoke Farms

This is truly one of the best stays I’ve ever experienced. It’s the closest I’ve come to living in nature and enjoying life on a working farm. The property is home to goats, sheep, chickens, and alpacas - and we had the chance to meet them all during a lovely farm tour led by CJ, the wonderful host who lives on-site and cares for the animals and land. CJ is awesome he answered all our questions and suggested places to visit near by as well. They have fresh eggs which we purchases while leaving the farm. There’s also a small outdoor fireplace that made the nights extra cozy, and if you’re a sunrise person, this is a great farm for sunrise views. It’s an authentic and peaceful farm stay at a great price. Just keep in mind that it’s not a typical, fully-furnished Airbnb - the washroom setup is minimal - but that’s part of the charm. If you’re looking to slow down, disconnect, and experience real farm life, I’d highly recommend this place.

Probably the best campsite you’re ever gonna find in the area seriously it is conveniently located next to the Antietam Creek that turns into the Potomac river. The Potomac River is 1 block away. The National Park District owns the house which is right in front of the path that leads to the vacant lot. Also I have a legal easement to cross the national park districts land. And there is a kayak drop in off of the Antietam Creek to the right just before entering the path next to the historical Harpers ferry Rd bridge Location Location——- Antietam Creek bridge / Harpers Ferry rd. / Antietam Creek / White House on corner (national Park district owns White House on corner) You will see a red gate that you will pass during daylight hours 1000 feet on your right from there is raw land on the Antietam Creek. The only way to get in the property is to walk past the national park district during dusk to dawn hours. Please abide by these rules. It makes it safe for the campers, but if you do not comply, you will not be allowed back and the police can be called because this is the national park District that you walk past. We do have a legal easement agreement but that easement is only allowed Daylight hours. Also there’s a huge mountain next to the property which makes it extremely safe and private for campers There is only one way in and one way out. Please take what you bring and enjoy nature. The energy here is overwhelmingly positive. Our house was built in the 1850s and the neighboring farm was built shortly after—lots of history on this property. You will be able to camp right next to Glade Creek which is always cool, clean, and refreshing. Please note- I only book one group at a time. You'll have plenty of privacy! Spend your day bird watching on the river deck, put up your hammock and chill, go hiking or mountain biking at Cacapon State Park, take the kayaks out and paddle around, go fishing, or take a float trip. I can provide info on put in/take out spots depending on how long you'd like to float. I have 3 kayaks available for your use, or BYO if you'd like to venture further outside of the property lines. There is one big fire ring for cooking and/or bonfires, along with a large stationary stand up charcoal camp grill. There is also a small communal shed down at camp that contains extra camping supplies, etc.. feel free to use use and put back and or/ contribute to it! :) This spot is close by to Berkeley Springs, Paw Paw Tunnel, Cacapon State Park, and other nature preserves. More hiking, biking, restaurants, spas, antiquing- all within a beautiful 20 minute drive if you wish to venture out. There is a cabin on the property. I will more often be home than not, I will communicate with you about that around your stay. Sometimes I"ll come down to the river frontage if I drop in for a float .Also, we all get around on four wheelers and UTV's. So you will hear them from time to time. If I am home, please feel free to come up if you have any concerns/questions or to say hi! :) *Please note, you can normally get to this site without a 4 wheel drive vehicle. However, when the river is high it will sometimes flood the low water bridge where it crosses the Cacapon. This beautiful property is nestled in a valley between Elk Ridge and South Mountain with incredible sunrises, sunsets and starlit night skies. Walk out to the fishing pond, or follow the trails around the pastures to meet the cattle grazing. We have Scottish Highlands and Black Angus grazing as well as Alpacas. We also have beautiful peacocks on the property. We are a working farm so expect to see tractors and you may even see us baling hay or tending to the cattle. You may smell some animal smells which we work at keeping to a minimum but again, we are a working farm. It’s a true farm experience. Also, please keep in mind that during warm weather you may encounter some bugs. Gnats and flies are always a possibility and of course at times they can be worse than others. That can always be a possibility when camping or being outdoors. Bring bug spray, citronella and anything else to help with insects. If you stay by the pond you may hear frogs which personally I enjoy hearing but some may not. Consider bringing a generator and run a fan if you think the sound might bother you or some way to block sounds. We enjoy talking to our guests so feel free to stop us for a chat. At the RV sites you have 30 and 50 amp power as well as water. All the water spickets are potable and drinkable.
