Pulled into a very well labeled easy to find site, well kept, and absolutely perfectly set up. It was a very peaceful getaway. Couldn't have asked for anything better.

1 night at Rustic Acres - Elevated RV Camping

We loved camping here for a night, wish we had a bit longer. The camping area had many updates, a comfortable common room with lots of seating, internet and coffee. Modern, clean bathrooms. Laundry, outdoor games and play areas, even a “beach” with seating by a running Crick. We stayed in one of the adventure sites, perfect for a Class B camper…. Power, water and a dump station were included.

A Gem of a Campground - Highly Recommend! We just returned from a fantastic camping trip and had to share our experience at Round Stone. This place is a true gem! From the moment we arrived, the check-in process was smooth and easy. Casey's communications on expectations were on point. We stayed at Tent Site 4, which was perfect for our needs. It was spacious, well-maintained, and offered a good amount of shade. The ground was level, making setting up our tent a breeze. We also had a great fire pit and picnic table at our site. One thing that truly stood out was the cleanliness of the facilities. We've been to campgrounds where the portable toilets are less than desirable, but the porta-potties here were spotless! It's clear the staff takes great pride in keeping the grounds clean and comfortable for everyone. This alone makes a huge difference in the overall camping experience. Beyond our site and the clean restrooms, the campground itself was wonderful. The atmosphere was peaceful and exactly what we were looking for in a getaway. Overall, we were incredibly impressed with Roundstone and are already planning our next trip back. If you're looking for an excellent campground with great sites and exceptionally clean facilities, look no further! Highly recommend!

If you’re looking for a quiet and totally private spot to chill out, this is it! We stayed in site #2 with our 31’ class C RV. We did have a little difficulty finding a spot that was as level but after pulling up closer towards the fire pit, threading the needle between two trees, we got pretty close to it and really enjoyed the serenity this spot gave us. We had all kinds of bids flying around from a big blue Herron who greeted us upon our arrival to woodpeckers hanging out while we enjoyed the fire. The site is equipped with an outhouse, two picnic tables, two fire pits, deer stands and hamkocks-which was our favorite part. We can’t wait to come back again! Thanks for having us 🤩

Beautiful fir trees and lots of room. It was a great place for a peaceful campfire. Janet and Linda were very engaging. We loved the water features. Traffic sounds were noticed. We were grateful to find a park open in April. Hope to be back next year.

2 nights at River Mountain Outdoors

It was a wonderful experience and just the cozy vibe I was looking for. The hiking trail next to the river was beautiful, it was a pristine and breathtaking property. The hosts were accommodating and a wonderful couple. We had plenty of privacy and they were quick to respond if we needed anything. It was all in all a really peaceful and relaxing place!

This was my first Hip Camp booking and I was really happy with the great communication from the host, Levi. The directions to the site were great and helped locate the spot perfectly. Unfortunately there were bad rain and thunder storms while we were there overnight so we didn't have an opportunity to explore much of the area - but the location is really cool. Hope to go back in some better weather - thanks again!

Weekend Trip to Peters Sawmill

I had a truly lovely stay at this cozy and peaceful cabin. The atmosphere was calm and perfect for disconnecting and relaxing. It was quite chilly during my visit, but the small heater kept the space comfortable, and Andy kindly provided extra blankets, which I really appreciated. The cabin also has air conditioning for warmer days. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet retreat surrounded by nature and a thoughtful host.

Weekend Trip to Fairview Farms Airfield

I never wanted to leave the Treehouse! I was actually surprised at how comfortable and cozy it was! I booked this weekend getaway to decompress and refill my cup. I certainly chose the right place to do those things! The property is absolutely gorgeous and very well cared for! As are all of the incredible animals! The views are spectacular, no matter where you look! The farm is in close proximity to gas stations, stores, restuarants and many different activities, but you really don't even need to leave the farm to have a great time! Thank you for a magnificent stay! Can't wait to return!

3 nights at Peters Sawmill

My son and I thoroughly enjoyed the cabin. It is especially quiet and we enjoyed the nature around us. The wood stove came in handy our last morning as it was too windy to have a campfire and it was a bit chilly that morning. Next time we might bring our fishing poles.

I've stayed at the Lookout twice now, and I absolutely love this site. It's a great site, and its location close to the Appalachian trail and the Thunderhead Lodge is perfect. Would definitely stay here again.

Weekend Trip to Camp Dietrich on Bear Creek

What a delight! We were two friends visiting for 2 nights, and it was perfect. Even though we visited at the very beginning of the season, there is lots of greenery on account of the evergreen rhododendrons. The site was very spacious and private. Scott was a fantastic host and the amenities were top notch. Would love to return when the creek is a little warmer (although a cold plunge by the waterfall was great too!). Several scenic trails on premises, looking forward to returning to hike them all.

What an absolute camping trip! I booked a camping trip for Friday night-Sunday morning. Majority of the time we were there it was pouring rain!! However, that didn’t stop us from having fun at all. We put a tarp right under the camp fire, and thankfully our sent had a SHED! So we put most of our stuff like kitchen stuff, and things that we didn’t want to get wet. Which was an absolute life saver! Had such a great camping trip despite the rain. Casey the owner also made everything such a breeze. From booking the trip, asking questions and even a partial refund from last minute some of my friends canceling. 5 stars out of 5! My friends and I decided we are coming back to this area. Super chill, relaxed vibe which is what we needed!

Originally opened as a family campground owned and operated by Denis and Kay Snyder in 1964. Bald Eagle Campsite has been owned and operated by the Snyder family to this day! Come join us in the beautiful forested landscape of Central Pennsylvania. Located a mere 20 miles south of Penn State University, we are surrounded by the many amenities Central PA has to offer. We are welcoming to LGBTQ+ campers as well as all ethnicities. Pitch a tent on a quiet site and drop a line into one of our two trout streams crossing the campground. Hang a hammock between two towering poplar trees surrounded by flowering rhododendron. Or pull up in your camper and relax before and after a Penn State Football game under the blue and white sky. We have small, secluded sites to get away from it all, as well as conjoined sites to accommodate larger groups. On property we have bathrooms, hot showers, and a recreation hall with free ping pong, board games, and billiards. For a fee, we also have firewood, electricity, and a large event tent for rent. Campers must be less than 25 feet. Generators are not allowed. Music should not reach outside your own site after 9pm. There are no water hookups. Vehicle noise is audible from route 350, especially on Friday afternoons. Noise is diminished at sites further back from route 350. Our sites are wheelchair accessible, but the bathrooms and showers do have one step up into them. Walk to Snappy's 24-hour convenience store to use their free Wi-Fi, buy bags of ice, or to pickup snacks and a sub in the attached Snappy's Grille. An ice cream stand and restaurant are within walking distance. We require a minimum two nights stay for the recognized holiday weekends for Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day.

The driveway is wide enough for trucks, trailers, vans, etc. Since the site is up high it gets a great breeze which helps on warm days and gets good cell service. The campsite gets great sun and has shaded areas along the sides that make for good tent pitching. We have had people set up hammocks, tents, tarps, or camp in their vehicle. We provide a privy (outhouse), an outdoor showerroom/changing room, picnic tables, and a metal fire pit with grill rack that you can put in the fire pit if you wish to cook/grill over it. The woods are hilly so biking is not recomended. On the property we have 2+ miles of hiking trails. PLEASE feel free to contact us for any questions. Also please look at our pictures for a better idea of what we offer. Nearby Activities: A short drive from here will take you to Gettysburg, York, or Hanover. Codorus park offers great hiking and is next to a lake. There are many excellent restaurants and brewpubs nearby, including the award winning Warehouse Gourmet Bistro and Brewpub. For more information read our activities section to find out what other things we provide or have nearby that you can do. Pricing: We have a weeknight discount for the site which is 29 dollars (Sunday-Thurdsay nights). Friday night and Saturday night we charge 35 dollars. The River's Edge campsites sit on the shoreline of the Delaware River at the western edge of New York State overlooking the mountains of Pennsylvania. Our canvas tents and open air platforms perch between the river and the former Delaware & Hudson Canal which was once was used to transport raw goods by barge to New York City via the 'port' of Port Jervis. The remnants of the canal walls are throughout the property including a 300 person theater which we created to both preserve and feature this industrial history. It also makes a great place for an event or a movie night. Today, the original canal towpath, along which barges would be pulled and floated downstream, is a trail that links all of the campsites over 5 acres and at the furthest end an eel fishing camp that is in operation from June to October (say 'hi' to Jim). In the early 1900s, the train replaced the canal as the primary method of moving goods into New York and if you are lucky — you will hear the train rumble by along the river on the Pennsylvania side. There is something spectacular in the absolute still and grandness of the river, the mountains and the ongoing industrial history of the valley. It is a reminder of the way things used to be. The farmhouse and cabins are located opposite the campsites on other side of route 97. Next to them are 50 acres of wild forest to hike and explore. These accommodations are great for guests who want more amenities but still with easy access to river. Pair campsites and cabins so that all your guests have their best experience. No hunting on property but fishing permitted along "river" aka Red Bank Creek. Please keep fires in firepit and noise levels low. Sunnyday's farm and forest was a Christmas tree farm in the 1950's. I've owned it for the last 30 years and it is now a horse farm with pastures and woods.Rustic area of 25 acres of pastures and forest bordering a hundred of acres of railroad and municipal forest. Great for hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking. 1.5 miles from Deer Lakes park which has fishing, hiking, mountain biking and a great playground. The Allegheny river, judged to be one of the cleanest in the country, is just 6 miles away. Harrison Hills park offers great hiking along the river and an occasional river otter. The Rachel Carson Trail and Baker trail are just a few miles away. It is a secluded log cabin in the woods on top of a hill overlooking a pasture. It is a very primitive cabin with a fireplace, brick floor, large porch, fabric interior and no chinking in the logs. We provide a bunk bed and cots and 2 picnic tables.. There is a large grassy area in front of the cabin for tents. There is no vehicle access, no electricity and no water at the cabin, but LOTS of downed wood for fires. There are horses, goats, chickens, ducks and a pig that roam the pastures. The cabin is about 300 yards from the parking area up a fairly steep hill, but the location is worth the walk! If you're stopping with an RV or trailer we have ample parking near the road and have overnight accommodations for horses Great place for a stopover.

Learn more about this land: This wooded area is 5 miles away from the Ohiopyle State Park whitewater launch area and GAP bike trail. We are less than 9 miles from Frank Lloyd Wright's Classic Fallingwater and about 8 miles from Kentuck Knob one of the last resident homes he designed (both are open for tours). Fort Necessity National Battlefield is 5 miles away. There are numerous native trout streams in the area. Youghiogheny Reservoir is 7 miles away for fishing, boat rentals, and water-sports. The Fern House is the primary camp cabin on the property. Although if someone would want to park a "self contained" camper or small RV on the property we would permit the unit to occupy the area in front of the driveway just pass the entrance gate. It is not within the ferns and is next to the road. There is an electrical outlet available at this small RV or van camper site. We are "nice pet" friendly. We have a mountain spring (when the spring is running) up the trail road (450 feet away). The ferns will normally be in full glory by the end of May to the beginning of October and are amazing, covering the forest floor. Deer, bear, wild turkey, fox, chipmunks, squirrels and many woodland birds abound the property especially owls. A picnic table, fire ring and firewood is available on the property. Free WiFi on the property as long as the plant life is not too thick! There is a mile hiking loop right on the property and many challenging trails in the area, including the starting point for the Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail.
