Burke and Shannon are fantastic and friendly hosts, who live in an absolutely stunning location. This area is amazing in its beauty and outdoor activities, and they know some good spots to check out (thanks for the Salmon River trail tip!!).
The RV spot was easy to back into, spacious, and had water/power in a convenient location. I will definitely be checking in the future to see if they are available when I’m in the area twice each year!

We tent camped on one of the RV sites (Potbelly 2) so we could drive up, and we had a fantastic time. Our 3-yr old twins LOVED getting to meet and feed the farm animals, and the people who live on site were very friendly and welcoming. The outdoor bathroom was the cleanest I’ve ever experienced and only a few minutes walk from our site. The showers were a nice feature as well!

This is a great little spot to use as a home base for Mt. Hood exploration! The RV/trailer site in the side of the house was cute and clean and often visited by some very cute and friendly pups + the occasional chicken. WiFi was strong and hookups were appreciated. You can walk down the road to see Salmon River and there are quite a few little restaurants and conveniences in town nearby. We were just a quick drive from government camp and some great hiking and day camp locations. Friendly hosts - we’ll be back!

Such a beautiful spot! Right down the street from the Salmon River and a few of places to eat and drink. These folks are super kind and so are their two dogs, if you would like to meet them. I had electric hookup and filled my water containers here as well. Thanx!

Good communication from the property owners. Flat level gravel site, easy to setup the RV. Wonderful that they had 30A elec service and potable water. Burke came out and welcomed us, and gave us a quick rundown on the site and some walking/hiking options and a heads up on their very friendly big dog. We walked that evening down to the bridge over the river - wonderful forest walk on the road, big trees, ferns, and quiet. Speaking of quiet, it was VERY quiet at night - we slept well. Would stay again on our trips back and forth from Central Oregon. Oh and if you have a travel trailer, you will have to get in the opposing lane to back in... not too difficult. And low traffic on the road so no problem. Just avoid the pile of wood chips. Again, would not hesitate to stay again in the future.

Fantastic place to stay in the middle of Happy Valley, that is a beautiful and quiet country setting super close to everything you could ever need. Sherry was great and very responsive.

First off the property is beautiful. Where we camped was a protected area with large evergreens that kept the elements out as much as possible. A short walk took us to a meadow with wildflowers and a view of Mt. Hood. Water was easily accessible with a short walk. It felt very private and safe. We didn't explore any of the hiking trails so I can't comment on those. The hosts were gracious.

Words cannot describe the beauty and serenity you get to experience at Pendarvis Farm. Even though there was another group of campers on the property we never crossed paths or even heard them. Sherry was absolutely wonderful and so were the animals. We mistakenly had more cars than was stated on our booking but Sherry worked with us to find a solution that worked for everyone. I’m already looking forward to visiting again in the fall!

Wonderful and easy experience!! This was our first time camping with our baby, so we wanted to stay close to Portland as a “test run”. This was perfect!
Such beautiful meadows and trails to explore on the property- and so close to town, we actually went into town for coffee in the morning!
Sherry was so helpful and sweet - checking with us to make sure we had everything we needed and knew where to go.
Would absolutely recommend.

Scrumpy Forest Farm is straight-up magical. Paula is a generous and kind host who made us feel right at home. She welcomed us to her beautiful land, helped us settle in, and shared the farm’s magic. The Quidditch field was perfect for our group campout: open enough to stargaze, yet surrounded by trees that made the space feel wild, safe, and tucked away from the world.
The cozy kitchen had everything we needed—and honestly, I caught myself wishing it was my everyday kitchen. We even got to build chickadee birdhouses as a little nature craft project, which was such a fun bonus. And Etta the dog was adorable.
Scrumpy Forest is one of those rare places that feels grounded and enchanting at the same time. Whether you’re visiting for a campout, a project, or one of their community events, I’d 100% recommend it.

Very easy to access the property and park on site. Pulled our gear with our wagon up a gentle grassy hill to set up our tent near the trees. The host communicated quickly after I made my initial inquiry, which was much appreciated.
Enjoyed the occasional visits by the dog, and getting to watch the horses munch in the pasture while we lay on a blanket. Loves trails to walk in the forest.
Really great to have all the space to ourselves. Will come back again for sure, due to the ease of getting here and the beauty of the property.
