Beautiful view from the deck, and having the grill available made it easy for the extended family to gather and have a memorable night together. The cut grass pathways down the hills were also fun to explore with the grandchildren.

Even tho Peter was nice, I honestly could not recommend this hipcamp. There really is no site 2, you drive through an orchard, dodging trees & low limbs, the ground is very bumpy, hard to find a level spot. It’s not like you drive into a graveled site and there is no road, it’s an orchard full of holes. We do enjoy adventures while dry camping but we ended up parking next to a pole barn and junk old truck with weeds growing thru it. I was hoping we weren’t going to run into squatters out there, I am sure it happens. There’s nothing stopping it, no gates or check in. We didn’t stay at up at the deck, however we did drive up there twice and check it out and we have stayed at hip camps for $25 a night with a much nicer view and like someone else said, cleaner. We were very disappointed, and honestly could not recommend this place. We have a 37’ 5th wheel, and this is definitely not a place you want to pull your rig out to.
There definitely needs to be signage!
I would not recommend letting your dogs run loose, we ended up tying ours out.. It’s close to a busy road and they were very curious in all the gopher holes.

This property is very unique and they have put a lot of work into it. However, 2 things stood out that made our trip somewhat of a bummer. The first being that there is a very visible house on the property that is just up the drive from the actual campsite. And secondly, we did not end up staying the night because the large amount of wasps at the site. One of our dogs was stung and so was I. Originally it was just a few, but by the end there were at least 20-30 buzzing around. They were trying to get into our tent, our bags, and there was no way we would have been able to cook or eat anything with them there. I was somewhat disappointed to relay this information to Peter at around 7:30 pm the night we were supposed to stay and tell him we were leaving the property and I didn’t receive an offer for a partial refund or an offer to comeback after they had dealt with the issue. There were a couple dried up wasp traps at the site, so clearly they know there’s a problem. If you plan on staying here, I’d suggest bringing some wasp traps or spray. Unfortunately the lack of good faith after the incident doesn’t make me want to return. But I hope this place works out for some others, it could be a very wonderful spot!

This spot is absolutely gorgeous! The sunset on the deck was fantastic. We set up a tent on the deck as well and two friends car camped. Tons of beautiful trees and we could see the stars at night! Really appreciated the extra touches of having a stove, smoker, lights and firewood. Would definitely come back.

What a cool open spot to camp so close to the city! The deck was the perfect spot to scatter our tents around and gather in the middle. The sunsets are beautiful here and the little setup was a nice little feature of the space.
We definitely would come back here for a quick getaway! We had our teardrop trailer and was able to get to our spot and find level ground with no issues.
I would note that there is a house visible that does take a bit away from the privacy of it - but we didn't see activity for the 3 days we camped. The lights are also super tricky (one didn't work) - so definitely prepare to bring your own lights.. it gets dark!

This place could be magical, but the few things that needed to be tidy weren’t. Not personally a big deal to me, but the upholstery on the couches is rough. The amenities were all dirty, green egg was full of ash, tables were grubby, and there was a lot extra stuff lying around. I had great weather, vas very private, easy enough for friends from Portland to join me. At $100 per night I’d have no issues, $120 per night is too much for this spot.

Golden light bucolic oasis!
This property is a special and peaceful place- I almost felt back in time somehow, wandering the golden rows between the trees and the wildflowers. Deer often grazed nearby- but not so much I still felt comfortable letting my pup roam off leash- it felt safe all around. You can hear the distant hum of cars in the way background, but somehow it only seemed to enhance the quiet peacefulness of the orchard.
Also- you know how sometimes a lot of listings can be deceiving w their photos, and you don’t realize how close buildings or other unsightly things nearby can be? Well this was the opposite! I remember being curious about some of the buildings showing in some of the photos so I kept my expectations neutral before I got here. But guess what? What’s caught in those photos are not obtrusive at all! But simply blend is as part of the “farm”. Mostly this place is just golden alleys of trees and blackberry shrubs and distant views.
Actually- this place feels like a photographers dream!
I definitely recommend this place- and thank you! It was exactly what I needed. And the host was quick with communication, answering questions and friendliness!

Really cool deck overlooking the sunset. I only stayed one night due to the price but I would have liked to hang out here all day. The only thing I would warn other hip campers about is the possibility of thorns in the mowed lawn surrounding the deck. No fault of Peters, but my dog has a tendency to wander and got a couple in his paw. Keeping him on the deck worked though.

This place was beautiful! It was awesome to have the patio to sit on and take in the view. The host was amazing and was available if we needed. I would say the only issue is it was dusty but that is to be expected in the summer on all that land. We will definitely come back here. It would be nice to see all the trees in the fall.

What an incredible location! A beautiful private deck in the heart of Oregon wine country. The deck is private and spacious and includes cooking equipment and comfortable outdoor furniture. We set our tent up on the spacious deck and enjoyed reading on the couches until the sunset and the solar-powered lights on the deck turned on. We brought our dogs who thoroughly enjoyed the large property! Highly recommend this property, I would definitely stay here again!

Remote spot close to wine country

Directions and description were spot on. We worked remotely from this hip camp for 2 days. Verizon was strong. Beautiful, private (except for neighbor across the weigh who double checked using his binoculars that we were legit. He left us at peace.) We didn't use the deck. The only visitors we had were two cute llittle dogs with collars who said hello. On Mon afternoon we could hear a gun range in the late afternoon. Otherwise we had a lovely stay, just wish it was cheaper as we might have stayed an extra night.

Nice spot! Very quiet and peaceful. We parked our camper right next to the platform where we found a level spot. Saw lots of birds, including owls.

We loved camping here. Gorgeous views and close to amenities but very private. The weather didn’t totally cooperate but luckily there is a large covered deck. We’d love to stay again if we are in the area.
