Our campsite is nestled among the trees next to the river. There's lots to enjoy. Do you like hiking? Silver Falls State Park is only 36 miles away. Boating? You can put in your kayak/canoe at Gills Landing in Lebanon and float down the river back to the campsite. Fishing? Bring your fishing pole and try catch and release in our pond. Swimming? Take a swim in the cool water. Of course, you can just relax by the water's edge and enjoy the tranquility provided by the soothing flow of the river.
This 192 sq. ft. cabin is very basic. There is no shower, but there is a portable toilet with a wash station located outside. We do provide a full 5-gallon water cooler for drinking since there is no running water. For cooking there is a 24" Blackstone 2-burner griddle, and small propane cans are provided. Also, the cabin is furnished with a small supply of pots and pans. There is a battery that provides lighting, and phone charging is available in the cabin. During the cooler months, there is a small wood stove for heating, and firewood is provided. The cabin sleeps 2, but there is room for a camper and/or tents. This campsite is meant to be very simple, so you should plan on bringing whatever you may need/want for camping.

The access driveway and site size make it best for camper vans and smaller RV’s. Long trailers, large RV’s and tent camping are not permitted at this time. The site has 50/30 amp and 120 volt outlets, as well as water and Wi-Fi. We have a porta-potty on site Memorial Day through Labor Day.
The property has many areas to set your camp chair or hang your hammock, and lots of short paths to explore. Recreation opportunities abound around here: hiking, biking, fishing, hot springs, cold springs, waterfalls, lava beds, whitewater boating on the river, and flat water paddling on the reservoirs. We have a one acre lot in the city. Our 22' Tipi with access to a full bathroom (shower, sink, toilet). You may also camp in your own tent or vehicle. Get a fire going under our 20' x 30' canvas shelter and cook dinner or work on crafts (we use this space to teach bushcraft and survival skills classes). Pick plums, cherries, pears, apples and wild blackberries when in season. It's a 1 minute walk to access the best coffee shop and cafe in town. Our camp feels a little like you are in the country while being within walking distance of large city parks (Avery Park and Willamette Park), swimming holes, grocery stores and restaurants. As an urban site, you may hear street traffic on Hwy 99, although it's subtle. There is urban light from both a street light and the storage units on the North border of the property. The Tipi itself offers some barrier to these lights, however, if you want to be in a really dark location and see all the stars, this is probably not the site for you. Also, during the rainy season, the tipi isn't waterproof.
We are close to Oregon State University campus (15 min bike ride, 30 min walk) and easy access to I-5 corridor (about 15 min drive).
We host you as a family of 3 including our young daughter who might try to get you to pick blackberries with her.

Tent sites are covered with wood chips for a comfortable night's rest.

We have a private, single site located on the banks of the McKenzie River in Rainbow, Oregon. The campsite is near our home, but feels private. The access driveway and site size make it best for camper vans and smaller RV’s. Long trailers, large RV’s and tent camping are not permitted at this time. The site has 50/30 amp and 120 volt outlets, as well as water and Wi-Fi. We have a porta-potty on site Memorial Day through Labor Day.
The property has many areas to set your camp chair or hang your hammock, and lots of short paths to explore. Recreation opportunities abound around here: hiking, biking, fishing, hot springs, cold springs, waterfalls, lava beds, whitewater boating on the river, and flat water paddling on the reservoirs. There are also four restaurants, a food cart, golf course and a general store nearby.

We have a one acre lot in the city. Our 22' Tipi with access to a full bathroom (shower, sink, toilet). You may also camp in your own tent or vehicle. Get a fire going under our 20' x 30' canvas shelter and cook dinner or work on crafts (we use this space to teach bushcraft and survival skills classes). Pick plums, cherries, pears, apples and wild blackberries when in season. It's a 1 minute walk to access the best coffee shop and cafe in town. Our camp feels a little like you are in the country while being within walking distance of large city parks (Avery Park and Willamette Park), swimming holes, grocery stores and restaurants. As an urban site, you may hear street traffic on Hwy 99, although it's subtle. There is urban light from both a street light and the storage units on the North border of the property. The Tipi itself offers some barrier to these lights, however, if you want to be in a really dark location and see all the stars, this is probably not the site for you. Also, during the rainy season, the tipi isn't waterproof.
We are close to Oregon State University campus (15 min bike ride, 30 min walk) and easy access to I-5 corridor (about 15 min drive).
We host you as a family of 3 including our young daughter who might try to get you to pick blackberries with her.

"Upriver Paradise" is your private gated retreat. Pull up a chair, start enjoying the elevated views and tranquil sounds of the McKenzie river while overlooking forestry lands.
Steps away to your private river access with approx. 150 ft of river frontage. Explore the banks , cast a line, try out the plunge pool, take in the wildlife, wave to rafters and drift boats floating by.
Included are two power and potable water sites, up to 8 guest. Power pedestals have 50-30 and 20 amps at each location. Both locations have a 50' power extensions(30amp) and extra water hoses if needed. There are two picnic tables, fire pit, extra seating, garbage, WIFI and one portable toilet on site for use during your stay.
There is no septic on site for gray or black waste There is a dump site approx. 1 mile west.

Gather around our central communal campfire area, adorned with rustic log benches. Cook on the swing out grill over a complementary wood fire when allowed.
As summer matures, and burn bans no doubt crop up, we provide a propane campfire ring which you may enjoy between 8-10pm, while permitted. Message before booking to confirm any campfire details or requests. I'm always happy to answer any questions.
I live on site but generally the Outdoor Stay Area is self-serve unless I have a special request to cater.
Tent sites are covered with wood chips for a comfortable night's rest.
Hose water is available. As well, we've added an insulated "drinking water hose" for improved taste and water quality.

We really enjoyed staying on James and Linda's property. The site was easily accessible with our 31' travel trailer. All hook-ups worked as expected and were conveniently located. The site was nice and level. The RV location is in site of the house and the workshop, but we weren't necessarily bothered by that, just be aware its not incredibly secluded from the rest of the property! The property is beautiful and we took advantage of walking around both the property as well as hiking the local Goodman Creek Trail and exploring the town of Lowell. James was incredibly friendly and accommodating! He met us at the site when we arrived, checked in with us after set-up to make sure WiFi etc was working well, and had gotten fire material set up for us before arrival. He even allowed us to borrow a battery charger after we blew a fuse in the trailer overnight the first night! A wonderful spot for a weekend get-away.

We always enjoy staying at Jared and Stephanie's place. I've reviewed it positively many times. We've made it one of our go-to stops for overnighting along this stretch of the I-5 freeway. The RV pad has full hookups and is large enough for our longer rig- we are sometimes 36 feet with our cargo trailer on. The view from the hillside is beautiful and it's very peaceful at night. Jered is a good communicator and will make sure you have whatever you need. Don't hesitate to stay here!

This hilltop retreat was perfect and exactly what we needed. Private, peaceful and all the beautiful scenes and weather we love to watch and witness. Layers of fog in the morning, views of clouds on the distant mountains, sounds of frogs and whistling wind, mix of sun and rain. For us was just perfect. The retreat itself was more than amble space for our 33’ RV, full hookups, our dogs loved it and the hosts Jared and Stephane were kind, responsive and very gracious. They truly made sure our stay was wonderful. I highly recommend staying and know we will be back again!

we stayed here on our way up and back to Bremerton, so this review is supplemental to my earlier one. As before, this is a great place to stay with all the hook ups and a nice view out over the hillside. Jered is a really easy-going host and again went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. I'm sure we'll stop back by on our next trip as this site is easy to get to being just a few short miles off of I-5. It's peaceful and quiet at night and well worth the quick jaunt off the freeway to get a good nights sleep.
