Welcome to the Bamboo Forest at Parker Learning Gardens! We are a nonprofit educational 33-acre farm located 10 miles north of Eugene, Oregon, right between the small towns of Coburg and Harrisburg. Our campsites are located at our 3+ acre Bamboo Forest, with covered platforms located alongside and underneath the canopy of our whimsical corridor of huge Linden Trees. The campsites have access to a wood-fired earthen cob oven, an outdoor kitchen sink, and a covered eating/cooking space. There are over 40 varieties of bamboo in our densely-packed 35-year-old Bamboo Forest. You are welcome to explore this unique forest by navigating through our meandering trail system. Elsewhere on the farm we have over 500 fruit trees, many farm animals, and 12 demonstration gardens. We offer seasonal educational programming from Spring-Fall, with various community classes, workshops and field trips for schools. The mission of Parker Learning Gardens involves immersing people of all ages in nature while demonstrating how to: grow food organically, tend to the land from an ecological perspective, incorporate animals in a regenerative way, and be conscious environmental stewards. If you are interested, there may be an option for a private educational tour for an additional fee (dependent on timing and availability). Otherwise, your stay will be private with open access to the trail system of our Bamboo Forest and huge Linden Tree Grove (approximately 5 acres of of beautiful wondering space to explore and unwind). We are about 5 miles from the I-5 exit in Coburg. The farm is located in the old floodplain of the Willamette River, with close access to places to swim just a short car drive away. There are amazing hikes within 30 minutes, and many family and youth activities/opportunities nearby (check the Eugene weekly event calendar).

Super cool spot in a bamboo forest near Eugene! A fun assortment of games and an outdoor sink and table made it well worth it.

Great camping spot!
The only thing to note is that the entrance is easy to pass. The gate is sort of hidden in overgrown weeds. The camp area is just lovely. Running water at a sink, composting toilet. Nice to have a covered platform for the tent. Super active creatures and bamboo grove noises. It's a full out experience.

I'd book both sites
Nice spot to rest on a long drive; I had a peaceful night's rest. Points to note: the two campsites are very close together (I opted to sleep on the other side of my car to avoid disturbing the other campers). It is right next to several farms, and machines were running until the early morning hours (likely seasonal). The entrance is pretty overgrown, so wouldn't attempt getting in there with a large vehicle. A fire ban was put in place a few hours before my arrival, but didn't affect my stay.

roadtrippers
Currently on a road trip with a friend and we are just randomly selecting some places to sleep day before or day of. Came across this adorable campsite while on the way through Oregon. Firewood provided which was lovely and very secluded. Two campsites are pretty close and share a sink and common area. Not a bad concept, met some pretty cool people actually! Located on a lovely farm. Would recommend!

Perfect for camping with young kids
This was such a sweet spot! The acres of bamboo are magical and the camping area is well set up with running water and a compost toilet. It was the perfect place for our first family camping trip. One thing to note (and not sure if this was just a fluke/weird morning) but from 5am to 6am there were about 7-8 loud planes that flew over head. Not ideal but otherwise a 10/10 spot. We’ll definitely be back!
