Great place! The bamboo and the linden trees were beautiful. Nice to have access to the kitchen area. Composting toilet was a bonus. Recommend!

First bamboo forest I've ever stayed at. The maze they have going through the forest is very impressive and peaceful. Though you are next to a farm, a tractor was harvesting hay around 4 am, bad luck on my part.
Nate and Jenna are a wonderful couple, and have a unique and interest property to explore or just rest for the night.

The platforms were very convenient for our tents. The tub of supplies by the kitchen area was appreciated.
We enjoyed seeing the tiny houses in progress.
The wild bunnies were fun to watch in the morning, while listening to the numerous birds singing.
The outhouse is rustic, but convenient.

So peaceful! I loved the tent platforms, log seats around the fire pit, and rustic kitchen. Like staying in the jungle, but better!

Want to experience a stay in a bamboo forest? Yes? Great! No? Well, you should! Our site had amazing shade and the lush bamboo was very fun to walk around in. Not something you see every day, that's for sure!

Site was fine once we found it. Signage was a bit hidden. Kitchen was fairly dirty which is understandable. I only saw 1 medium sized mouse and some poo in the pizza oven but we cleaned it out and figured the fire would take care of the rest. It was kind of spooky with the wind hitting the bamboo. Neighbors had to come into our site to share the toilet, no big deal. I dont appreciate the lack of TP but we brought some. Overall we had a good time, but our dog was not having it because of the noise and other animals, but that's what some people would love most about this site.

We had a great time at the bamboo forest! Nate was so great at preparing us to find it when we arrived later than expected. The amenities were to notch to ride the line between roughing and having all you need there. Highly recommend!

I would recommend camping here it’s super close to town yet far away enough to not hear many cars and to really get the camping experience. The site itself is super pretty with tall bamboo all around and pretty lights to light up paths, etc. The bathroom like others have said definitely has a ton of spooky spiders in it though so be cautious. I’d note is that the camp site is incredibly damp/ muddy so I definitely recommend putting your tent on the platform given. Overall I think if you are looking for a campsite with a lot to explore this isn’t the campsite for you but if you are looking for a cozy stay, with running water, an outside oven and a pretty surrounding I would recommend this site!

Directions were great. I found it fine and the lean to was good. My only issue was the spider friends I encountered in the outhouse there. Otherwise it was quiet and secluded.

Nate's land is a unique setting next to tremendous bamboo groves. The hip camp is thoughtfully set up for folks using natural materials found on the land (i.e... bamboo and repurposed wood). I appreciate the earthiness and sustainability of the setting. I was honored by a muskrat upon arrival. First time ever for me! Lots of birds to enjoy for those birders among us.

This place was great! A little dusty but it’s outside. The sink was a plus! We only stayed over night on a road trip to WA. My only (personal) issue was the spiders in the outhouse. There were a little too many for my comfort and they were big and close because the outhouse is so small. The partition wall was a little small too if someone else had been staying there but we had the whole place to ourselves for our stay.

This was a unique campsite. There are only 2 spots and we had it by ourselves. We booked it as we were excited about the wood fired oven. It didn’t disappoint. We had a great time making pizzas. We wandered through the bamboo forest. A lovely spot. Our tent is a large 3 man and fit perfectly on the platform. If you have a bigger one it could go on the ground beside.

We really, really enjoyed the bamboo forrest and the shaded campsite. Although the two sites are relatively close to each other it didn't bother us since we were gone most of the day as were the other guests. Definitely bring lighting because it is dark at night. The primitive outhouse took a little getting used to but no bad odors to deal with. No showers at the site so bring your own or go to the local TA truck stop for a hot shower (8 min away). We did and it worked out perfectly on the way to Eugene. The common area sink was convenient as well as the picnic bench. Super shaded site. Would go back.

First of all, the price is right, and the location is good for me (between my grandsons' colleges), so I will stay here again. I was dumb to bring my big tent, (but the ground was comfy); next time I'll bring my two-man tent. The composting toilet was fine until the other campers showed up; they were a bit toasted and it was nearly dark so perhaps they weren't aware of the wood shavings.
My main problem was the fairy lights above the lean-tos. The other campers left theirs one while they slept, IN THE OCCASIONALLY BLINKING MODE, which was startling, and looked like car headlights. I finally realized they weren't up enjoying them, so turned them off myself. It's the kind that has a button you push nine times for the full cycle.
Next problem was the gate. It's a tough one to open and close. And you have to open it every time you drive out.
But like I said, I will stay here again! Would be really fun to stay with a big group, too.
