Welcome to Parker Learning Gardens! We are a nonprofit educational 33-acre farm located 10 miles north of Eugene, Oregon right between the small towns of Coburg and Harrisburg. Our campsites are located at our 3 acre Bamboo Forest, with covered platforms located alongside and underneath the canopy of our whimsical corridor of huge Linden Trees. There are around 40 varieties of bamboo in our densely-packed 35-year-old Bamboo Forest. You are welcome to explore this unique forest by navigating through our meandering trail system. Elsewhere on the farm we have over 500 fruit trees, many farm animals, and 12 demonstration gardens. We offer seasonal educational programming from Spring-Fall, with various community classes, workshops and field trips for schools. The mission of Parker Learning Gardens involves immersing people of all ages in nature while demonstrating how to: grow food organically, tend to the land from an ecological perspective, incorporate animals in a regenerative way, and be conscious environmental stewards. If you are interested, there may be an option for a private educational tour for an additional fee (dependent on timing and availability). Otherwise, your stay will be private with open access to the trail system of our Bamboo Forest and huge Linden Tree Grove (approximately 5 acres of of beautiful wondering space to explore and unwind). We are about 5 miles from the I-5 exit in Coburg. The farm is located in the old floodplain of the Willamette River, with close access to places to swim just a short car drive away. There are several fun hikes within 30 minutes of here in all directions. Many family and youth activities/opportunities nearby (check the Eugene weekly event calendar).

Basswood Bench
Great little spot!
I loved this place! So serene. It rained my first night and the rain falling on the bamboo was hypnotic. The frogs and birds sang me to sleep. It’s a cool property to explore. I loved the platforms. And even though my fire got rained out before it started, the fire ring was great with plenty of wood. The composting outhouse was cool, and it was really nice to have a covered kitchen space in the rain. Thank you!!!

Really enjoyed the campsite!
Really enjoyed our 2 day tent camping trip, really liked the ready firewood and the bamboo forest. There were a couple nice paths through the forest that me and my partner took a bit of time to explore. Unfortunately there is exactly zero privacy between the two camp sites considering they are immediately next to eachother. We had a great time since the other site wasn't booked. Nate was an exceptional host! He cleans up between visits, respects privacy, offers tours, and they have a farm stand with local preservs! Next time we're around we're gotta try the pickled hot banana peppers.

What a find!
This is an amazing sight that I feel will become very exclusive. There's only a couple spots but you've got running water and a toilet so that alone makes it hard to beat. The platforms for the tents are not to be underestimated. It will absolutely keep your floor dry but do not go past your 8x8 floor plan. Overall 10 out of 10!

Enchanted evening
We had a spectacular evening in Basswood bench. The fire pit was a lovely addition to our evening with lots of firewood around. The sounds of nature, enchanting. The rations of the starlings, the hooting of the owls, the croaking of the frogs. There had been a lot of rain, so it was a bit muddy Under foot so one would want footwear for that. Highly recommend. Thanks very much.
