Eden Oaks Vineyard & Campground was a tobacco farm (antique tobacco barn still on property). The house was built in 1910 and has been updated. We purchased it in 2014 and converted it into a vineyard. We have RV sites with 50 amp and 30 amp electric hookups and water, and tents sites. For 2023 our rates are $30/night for RV Sites (50 amp or 30 amp electric hookups and water) and $25/night for Tent Sites. Tent sites do not have electricity or water hookups, but water is available at the well. (Due to inflation, 2024 our rates will be $30/night for RV Sites, $25/night for Tent Sites.) We do not have a dump station, but we do have a Port A John and a list of dump stations nearby. Campfires are allowed unless we have a state issued burning ban. Campers are responsible for controlling and extinguishing fires. Please be extremely careful during dry or drought conditions. Conveniently located one mile from Hwy 421 but remote and peaceful with plenty of room to roam on our 22 acres with grapevines, fruit trees, forest, creeks, fields, goats, Beagle and Jackabee (Beagle/Jack Russell) dogs, cows, chickens, ducks and goats. Also, we have wildlife such as birds, squirrels, groundhogs, deer, raccoons, opossums, etc. We are about 15 miles from Wilkesboro and North Wilkesboro (home of the Merle Fest and Apple Festival). Eden Oaks is 18 miles from W. Kerr Scott Dam & Reservoir, 24 miles from Stone Mt. State Park, and 10 miles from Elkin (sponsors of the Wine Festival and Pumpkin Festival). Eden Oaks is in the heart of the Yadkin Valley and Swan Creek AVAs (American Viticultural Area). We're next door (3 miles) to Raffaldini and Piccione Vineyards. Take a day trip to Boone, Blowing Rock, Blue Ridge Parkway, Mt. Airy, Winston-Salem, Charlotte or additional areas of interest. We love it here and would like to share it with you. While we are happy to be a late-night crash spot for after shows at the Haw River Ballroom, we hope you stay a minute to walk the fields, hang in the hammocks, sit by the pond, or take a swing from the branches of our 200 year old White Oak tree. You'll come down our curvy driveway through the trees, and see our event barn on the left. In front of the barn is a communal space for campers to enjoy with a great view. This area has a fire pit, chairs, wood-fired grill, handwashing station, and farm table. The shared outhouse/composting toilet is next to the pine stand with a white roof. Please note, this farm stay is an agritourism activity subject to the limit of liabilities as described in N.C.G.S § 99E‑32(b). We have sheep and pigs and a donkey rotating through pastures behind electric fencing. You are welcome to look but don't touch the fence! We also have 3 very friendly farm cats. Pork and lamb from the farm is available for purchase, as well as kiln-dried firewood. Hi there. Here is a little rundown of everything we do at the mill…. So, as far as camping, there are two main options on either side of the river; the mill yard or primitive camping across the river. In the mill yard, we do festival style camping, meaning that there are no individual campsites per se, but rather a large grassy lawn near the mill and bathhouse with shared fire pits, picnic tables, charcoal grill, and sinks for water/dishes. We also have two platforms up in the woods that are good for a little more privacy and are completely shaded, but do require a small climb up the hill. The bathhouse has three restrooms and hot showers in each. Across the river, there are several more primitive sites that are generally very private and offer great sounds coming from the river and waterfall, but no facilities. Most sites are car accessible, and a 5 minute walk back over to the mill (or a 1 minute drive). Lastly, our newest camping spot on the primitive side is a river front beach right by the dam with space for a several medium sized tents and a private fire pit. The beach is hike-in only (2-3 minutes along a mostly flat trail). Our normal rate is $10 per person per night. Firewood is available for $10 per wheelbarrow load. We accept cash, credit card, Venmo, Paypal, and crypto. We are also fairly flexible on check in/check out times, but just let us know if you’ll be arriving at odd hours. Dogs are generally welcome as long as they are kept on leash. Here is a little rundown of tubing at the mill (May-October, weather permitting). We have two tubing options available. We have a short Fun Run that takes roughly 45 minutes, and cost $10 per person for as many rides as you’d like. The river bends sharply like a horseshoe in this section, so it makes everything accessible by foot traffic. It’s a 3 minute walk up the trail to the dam, put in and float 30-45 minutes (depending on water level), then a 5-10 minute walk back to the mill carrying your tube. There is also the longer Forks Run, which last 3-4 hours (~2.5 river miles), and costs $15. For this, we shuttle you up the river in a vehicle, and you float back to the top of the dam, then 3 minutes walking back to the mill. Most weekends, tubing starts at 11 am and the last Forks Shuttle is around 3 pm, with the Fun Run staying open till around 5. Also, with enough heads up, we can sometimes arrange for trips during the week. Our tubes are required for each person floating for insurance and liability reasons, but you are welcome to bring your own cooler tubes to carry drinks and snacks. Technically, alcohol is not permitted on the river, but what is in your cooler is your business. Either way, please bring ALL trash out with you! Water shoes are recommended, and we have life jackets on request. Most of our tubes come with bottoms and back rests, but a few are open to the water. Most weekends, reservations are not required, but it does help tremendously if we know when you want to come and how many in your group. Weekend Trip to Brookhaven Mill Farm

I loved camping on Cheryl’s farm! I was able to get fire wood from her and she had it ready for when I arrived. There was a picnic table and fire pit available in one spot but we were welcome to camp anywhere in the designated field. We weren’t able to see any animals because it rained but we still had a great time!

Our campsite was the only one in the open. It was to the left of the house. along the tree line. We had access to well water and were hooked up to 30 amp power.

The property is beautiful and Chris accommodated my daughter and myself for a perfect family camping excursion while balancing hosting several off-road vehicle enthusiasts. Chris was sincere in providing the experience we were looking for and exceeded expectations. 100% recommend Not rugged, distributed camping, but a great basecamp for activities in the nearby National Forest and absolutely perfect for introducing camping to young explorers. 10/10 highly recommended

Weekend Trip to Uwharrie Basecamp -The Overland Co.

Great location and proximity to the Outpost and trails. Although I didn't officially camp (due to last minute change of plans), I did meet up with the group and hang out. Plenty of space to spread out. Great for the primitive set ups. The treeline was the place to be for the chilly nights/mornings. I would camp here in the future. I have a small off-road camper and the site has great access for that. A few small off-roading campers and tents are perfect. No big rigs.

Weekend Trip to Private meadow and pond

We arrived on Friday and were delighted to see the open fields, rolling hills and colorful canopy of fall trees. The fire ring, picnic table, and garbage were all conveniently located by the campsite. Setting up was easy and most of the land is flat, but not level. My dogs LOVED swimming in the pond and the hot outdoor shower was a plus for clean-up. Phillip and his wife were delightful hosts and Luna is a sweet pup. We will definitely return!

3 nights at The Dancing Pig On Abbotts Creek

We stayed on the tent site and loved it. Natalie kept us comfortable even on the cold nights. We loved seeing the animals every day and waking up to the beautiful sun rising over the farm!

Weekend Trip to The Rocky Knoll

If this spot is available, stop reading and go book now! My partner and I camped here in October with our two dogs and had a great stay! Lois and Mike have thought of everything. The site is easy to find in the dark and the road is well maintained. The tent area is level and there is ample seating. They supplied tons of firewood as well as a grate/hot dog stick for cooking over the fire. We really appreciated they also left a shovel/water to ensure fires are fully put out. The site is really private and the views are awesome. The only downside was a bit of animal noise at night (dogs, owls, and maybe a donkey) - our reactive dog struggled a bit at first but way less than at other sites we've stayed. We didn't use the poop shed but peaked our heads in and it was immaculately clean. It's about 25 minutes to Hanging Rock and Pilot Mountain State Parks. Buffalo Creek Farm nearby has great ice cream! Highly recommend!

Quiet tucked away site in the woods. Tight road for larger vehicles (we have a camper van) but doable. Everything was dry when we went so no issues with mud, etc. The site was slopey but not a problem to set up once we found the right area.

It is a beautiful piece of property, very peaceful and relaxing. There is a lot of activities to do in the area or you can just sit back ans relax and enjoy nature.
