Weekend Trip to Historic Riverside Farm

We camped at Site 2 for 2 nights and it was absolutely perfect. On one side of the campsite is a hill of wildflowers with a bench swing at the top! On the other is the Wallkill River, which offered a cool place for the kids to splash and explore and a calming sound to fall asleep to. The site was clean & easy to access. We will definitely be back!

7 nights at Martin’s Ranch

Great private land abutting a state park. We hiked almost every day, and saw a lot of wildlife! We managed to get our Class A up there, so it’s fairly accessible unless you have a really big rig! Our dogs were able to run freely and had a blast hiking and hunting chipmunks too!

3 nights at SoHi Campground

Had a great time RV camping. Hookup was good and the hosts make sure you’re all situated. They helped us back in and made sure we were able to hook up to everything. There’s good space between you and your neighbors. Showers and toilets were very clean and the upkeep was good. The staff is good about making sure the bathrooms stay clean. People play music and enjoy themselves but it’s still nice and quiet in the evening. Met other campers and most people were friendly. Would refer others to camp there and I would return.

3 nights at Historic Riverside Farm

We loved staying at Riverside Farm the site was very private and very large. The river access was great, just a short walk on a wooded path led to a beautiful spot were we fished sat in tubes and just hung out in the water. The only thing I could say was a little inconvenient was the entrance to the site was a little tight for trailers to navigate around the dumpster through the opening to the path down to the site. But even with that we are definitely coming back.

3 nights at Dharma Bums Eco Lodge

Val was very hospitable. Good communication. Site was nice, private. Bathroom facilities nearby. It was great being able to walk over to the winery. Good wine, drinks and food.

Enjoyed tent camping, hot daily shower was nice. Very peaceful, chipmunks stole our chocolate donuts lol ate the whole box only complaint, No community area for our cornhole boards to be spaced out.

2 nights at Upper Shire Campsites Hudson Valley

Incredible sites and great communication. You get what you pay for here. We stayed in our van on upper shire and the site was clean and very secluded from the other sites. The firewood was very well seasoned and there was even a five gallon jug of water. Each site has its own porta potty. There is a spotless shower house with great bath products from Meyer’s. We had an absolutely awesome time and Joanna’s suggestions for what to do nearby were fabulous.

1 night at BeaverWood Farm (no children)

Cannot rave enough about what a wonderful time my girlfriend and I had this past weekend. We stayed two nights for July 4th and we were both so sad to leave. Paul and Marilyn were the most amazing hosts and really engaged with each guest and went out of their way to show us all the farm animals and teach us about the animals and farm as well. They taught us how to milk a cow, we got to hold the baby ducklings and chicks, and we got to see and hold newborn sheep. There are enough activities to keep you busy. They made a great map of all the things to do in and around the area. We went on the lookout hike, canoed with our fishing gear, and went to the gorge. On the 4th they built a giant fire near the lake and we got to watch fireworks. Every guest we talked to was amazing as well and we became friends with a bunch of our neighbors. I’ve gone camping quite a lot (car camping and backpacking) and this was by far one of the most memorable and fun experiences I’ve had. We will certainly be back soon!

We were surrounded by apple orchards. We woke up to hang gliders in the sky. Very peaceful place. I would highly recommend Wrights Farm. Also has an amazing store with all local produce, meeats, home made donuts jams, etc.

We loved our quick overnight stay at Spacious Skies! The site was easy to access, quiet, and perfect for a restful stop on our Northeast road trip. There was plenty of space to park our camper van, and we appreciated the clean facilities and friendly staff. Our dog had room to stretch and explore, and the peaceful surroundings made for a great evening walk. Bonus points for the starry sky and quiet night’s sleep! A great little transient spot—safe, well maintained, and just what we needed. We’d happily stop here again.

You will enjoy rolling hills of fruit trees and fruit gardens along with beautiful views of the Shawangunk Mountain Ridge. We have 450+ acres so it in very private. As we are a working farm, you can see us driving pass with our tractors or maintaining the orchard around your campsite on occasion. You are welcome to ride your bikes, hike or jog where you will pass ponds and a working farm landscape. Please don’t pick our fruit. If you would like to enjoy the fruits of our labor please visit our farm store open year round on the premises where we sell cheeses, our fresh picked fruit and veggies, local meats, and our famous cider donuts along with other farm products. We also have a farm brewery open 3-7 in our old dairy barn for you to enjoy. Live music Saturdays and Sundays. Minnewaska State Park and Mohonk Reserve are only 10 minutes away. The rail trail is three minutes away. This trail gives you walking and biking access into New Paltz, where there is tons of restaurants and lots of shopping. Mark Andersen, born and raised in Coxsackie and a resident in Earlton for over 25 years, takes pride in being the owner here at Earlton Hill Campground and is assisted by his daughter, Kaitlin Andersen who is the Vice President and recently Co-Owner (2023) of both the Earlton Hill Campground and the Earlton Hill Country Store. We are also very proud of our team of staff members and volunteer campers who go above and beyond to help make Earlton Hill as amazing as it is. There have been many renovations and upgrades made to the Campground to provide our campers and guests with what they deserve to feel at home. There are 276 Sites including Full Hookups, Drive-thru, Tent sites and Cabin Rentals, each provided with a picnic table and fire ring. We have a dump station on site. We have a large newly renovated Pavilion and Snack Shack. Big enough to hold many planned activities and events as well as Live Music Concerts, Weddings, Reunions, etc. Our camp store is stocked with all your needs as well as a full food menu, Fresh Pizza & Boars Head Deli. We have two playgrounds (one being brand new Spring 2024), an arcade room, a sandy beach with a swimming area and a stocked lake for fishing. We have clean restrooms, free showers, and a coin-operated laundry room. Propane and Firewood are also available on site.
