GREAT NEWS!!! As of April 5th, my long awaited 1st Glamping site is available for booking! Please read the description carefully of the "Gypsy Rose Vardo", to see if it's the right fit for you. We also have 10 large camping sites available on our 33 acre property located in Northwest NJ. Sites 1 through 4 are on mowed, fairly level fields and are large enough for campers or RV's up to 30ft, or a couple of tents, and sites 5 and 6 are further back in the woods, available only for a few small tents, sites 7 through 10 are much further into the property and are only accessible with a high clearance AWD or 4WD SUV or you can park and hike your gear in. There are 3 compost toilet outhouses spread out through the Hipcamp, so it's an easy walking distance from any site. Although we are only 2 1/2 miles from a main highway, the last 2 miles are on a dirt road with no houses. We are surrounded by protected land, so no neighbors and lots of wildlife, including the occasional bear, coyote or raccoon. Keep all food items secured. Because we are surrounded by protected land we are not sprayed for insects, so be safe and do tick checks often and bring the bug spray. We are 45 minutes from NYC or the Delaware Water Gap and an hour away from the NJ shore. There are horse farms nearby that offer trail rides. We are also close to the Highland and Appalachian Hiking trails. There are two reservoirs within a 20-minute drive for canoeing or kayaking. There are walking trails through our property, including a ten-minute hike on a marked trail to a small waterfall in a ravine.

In our barn (now home to Gardiner Brewing Company) he had gravity fed water troughs for his cattle. Since then we have slowly switched from animals to tree fruit. You will enjoy rolling hills of fruit trees and fruit gardens along with beautiful views of the Shawangunk Mountain Ridge. We have 450+ acres so it in very private. As we are a working farm, you can see us driving pass with our tractors or maintaining the orchard around your campsite on occasion. You are welcome to ride your bikes, hike or jog where you will pass ponds and a working farm landscape. Please don’t pick our fruit. If you would like to enjoy the fruits of our labor please visit our farm store open year round on the premises where we sell cheeses, our fresh picked fruit and veggies, local meats, and our famous cider donuts along with other farm products. We also have a farm brewery open 3-7 in our old dairy barn for you to enjoy. Live music Saturdays and Sundays. Minnewaska State Park and Mohonk Reserve are only 10 minutes away. Stony Rose Farms is located in the beautiful and historic Hudson Valley. Our area has a rich farming heritage and our land was once part of a much larger farm. We purchased the land in February of 2020 and have created our own off grid paradise full of chickens, flowers, bees and lots of different types of plants. We are NOT a commercial campground, we are a working farm that offers Agrotourism stays and experiences. Our hens and roosters play an important role in the sustainable agricultural practices we use on the farm. Our lovely ladies provide us with delicious and colorful eggs each day. Your breakfast at the farm can't get any fresher... sunny side up eggs dripping yolk onto fresh local bread, fresh melons and berries still warm from the sun, sweet honey and local milk in your coffee. A true farm to table meal is possible year round in our beautiful valley! Most weekends we offer a breakfast basket filled with goodies produced on our farm or by other local growers. The back of our property is also wooded. If you are quiet you are certain to see birds, squirrels, chipmunks, turkey and deer as you walk along the creek and explore the mossy rocks and tiny waterfalls. If you follow the marked bushwack trail you'll be guided over fallen trees and through breaks in historic stone walls, then across the creek and up the hill you will come out onto the O&W Rail Trail. This 27 mile trail is perfect for hiking, biking and strolling. In some segments it is smoothly paved and others it is gravel. From this trail you can access multiple parks, libraries and museums if you are looking for a long hike or ride. We are centrally located between Kingston, Kerhonkson, Woodstock and New Paltz and all are about a scenic 20 minutes drive. The NYS Thruway is less than 10 minutes away if you are traveling through. The Rondout Valley is home to multiple breweries, amazing restaurants, luxurious spas, places to kayak, fish, swim, rock climb... or you could spend your entire visit at the farm reading a good book and enjoying beautiful sunsets. PLEASE NOTE: -We are a working farm that uses sustainable organic methods. -There are bugs (ants, ticks, bees, mosquitos, etc) -We keep the grass at the campsites short but you will have long grass around you. That long grass is home to numerous kinds of birds that only live in that type of habitat. - Poison ivy is also possible when out in nature, we do NOT spray any chemicals on ANY of our land. -The sites are within earshot to the chicken coops, we DO have roosters and you WILL hear them. -There are wild animals around the farm. The property is a 5 minute drive to the hamlet of Mountaindalewhich has a lovely Rail Trail for hikes and bikes, and some excellent dining options including @ highvoltagecatskills, in addition to creek bar a magical cafe & bar with outdoor seating and fire pits that serves delicious modern Polish American comfort food, great cocktails, and has live music and events on weekends. There is also an artisan pizza spot with indoor/outdoor seating, hipster vibes and fun cocktails and live music @ thedaleNY For shopping you can also stop by @ forageandgather - they have foods, meats, gourmet deli and coffee and carry all the little things you may have forgotten to bring along in addition to a locally and craft focused wine and spirits shop. Also stop by @badgrandmashop for the most vibrant and stylish clothes for all sizes and styles. Not to be missed. There is also a lovely yoga studio and bollywood dance spot in addition to some other delightful gems in town. There is superb hiking nearby at Neversink Unique Area in Rock Hill. Also Bashakill trails (and conveniently a vineyard with tastings and events right nearby). Your'e also about 30 minutes away from super cute fun larger towns and attractions like New Paltz, Livingston Manor, and tons of incredible Catskill hiking and nature opportunities. NOTE! There's an excellent Farmers Market on Saturday's in Rock Hill from 10-1pm from June to September also. Come find us there! Wallkill River Camping

Terrace Farm Phoenicia

Terrace Farm is a multi-generation farm on 160 wooded acres of Tremper Mountain located on the outskirts of the Hamlet of Phoenicia in the heart of the Catskill Mountains.
