Come take a break on our beautiful farm acreage. Located within an hour of the twin cities, 15 minutes from historic downtown Hudson and the St. Croix River, 10 minutes from the famous Willow River Waterfalls and in the heart of rural, smalltown Wisconsin.
We'd love to share the peaceful country nights with you. There are two sites available. The first is capable of hosting tents, small campers and RV's. You'll enjoy being tucked in between an old calf barn and a cozy row of pines. You'll get peaks of the gorgeous sunsets and a sky full of stars. We've even been lucky enough to see some stunning northern lights when the conditions are just right.
Our second site is perfect for a more rugged/off-road setup. Just on the other side of the pines you'll get even more privacy and stunning views of the sunset, stars and this fall we had hundreds of migrating Sandhill Cranes serenading us.

Just 10 minutes from freeway access makes it a convenient stop for a quick overnight stay or weekend trip to explore the area. There is plenty to do in the area- So many yummy wineries, breweries, and restaurants. Fire wood, eggs, produce, and more is available for purchase on site. Along with renting a hammock during your stay.
I give campers as much privacy as possible. I check in with you through Hipcamp when you book and then again after you arrive to ensure your needs are being met. If you would like to meet in person and share some of your favorite places to stay across the country, I would welcome that. I love to camp too!

I have 3 rustic sites located on my 6 acre property. Each site is private, but you may see in the distance or hear others. Each site has its own firepit and picnic table, along with posts for hanging a hammock.
Please be respectful during your visit. Keeping noise to moderate levels so other guests and neighbors can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.

We have an on farm store people visit daily. The farm is 10 minutes from the town of River falls which is on the Kinnickinnic River and has some great trails and fishing. We are about 45 minutes from St.Paul, MN.

How we ended up in Knife Lake Township on 81 acres of forested land.
We began looking for land in late fall of 1996.
After several months of searching, we happened upon a tiny newspaper ad for 81 acres of land described as "Beautiful, secluded, mature hardwoods, tall pines w/creek & beaver pond, many gd bldg sites & great hunting". We toured the property, covered in almost two feet of snow, on a snowmobile in January 1997 and fell in love with it.
We have been stewards of this piece of land for 25 years and are still enamored of its beauty and diversity. We are lulled to sleep by the sounds of owls and bullfrogs and the distant yipping of coyotes. Spring through fall we are often awakened by the rattling, honking of sandhill cranes and a wide variety of bird songs. Besides deer and lots of small critters, we've seen bear, bobcat, rafters of turkeys, quail, grouse, pheasant, owls, hawks and eagles. The sky, on a clear night, is breathtaking.
We have always visualized sharing the land with others, so come and immerse yourself in this bountiful space.

This little spot is very sweet and easy for newbie campers. The vintage trailer is truly a vintage gem, and you can see so many stars at night out in the countryside. I would recommend renting the RV versus tent camping mainly because there is a lot of car noise from being in such a flat area and sound traveling.

Would recommend staying at Bob and Roxanne’s! A beautiful area for camping. We had a perfect night under the stars and full moon enjoying a bonfire and sounds of nature around us (sandhill cranes, loons, owls, redstarts, and even some wolves howling during the night). The site was private and quite spacious. The flies and mosquitos were out in force during the day but they provided a mesh shelter that was nice to hang out in. The outhouse (very nice and clean) is a bit of a walk at night, but they provided potable water at our site so we were able to brush our teeth without walking to the outhouse. The yurt was sturdy and spacious and cooled down well for sleep. The town of Mora was only 12-15 mins from the property making it easy to access restaurants or grocery stores. Bob and Rox are very friendly and were very responsive to questions I had prior to arrival. We would definitely recommend this spot!

I had a peaceful night stay at this excellent little spot just a short drive off the highway. Tricia was kind and courteous (sorry about driving the wrong way!). I stayed on site 3 and the campsite was private, comfortable and very quiet despite being just off the main road. All of the amenities and setup were exceptionally thought out. Will absolutely be swinging by here again.

We had the most lovely stay on Lindsey’s farm! The yurt was cozy and safe during a sudden thunderstorm. We enjoyed wandering the land and seeing all of the vegetables, orchard, and animals. I absolutely recommend staying at Rising Sun Farm!

My friends and I really enjoyed the Sassy Fox campsite. The camp was well marked, clean, and the host was responsive. We really enjoyed all the fireflies around the campsite! Our only suggestion is to mark the well for guests to easily find in thr future.
