"Elysium Heritage Farm" is situated on 120 acres in Northeast, MI surrounded by woods, trails, ponds and canals. Enjoy access to a small farm that includes fainting goats, chickens, emu, rabbits, and more. Bring your pole and try your luck at some catch and release fishing. Enjoy viewing numerous types of wildflowers, birds, and butterflies. Depending on the season, (and how quietly you walk the trails) you may experience a wide variety of wildlife species. Although we don't allow motorized ATVs, you are welcome to bring a golf cart. Most of the trails are improved enough to allow you access. Absolutely NO hunting allowed on the property.
The property is located just (5) miles off I-75 so it's also a convenient mid-trip destination for those on a longer distance excursion. In case you plan on fishing the local hotspots on Lake Huron (15 minutes away) and are trailering a boat, there is plenty of area to park your rig during your stay.
It's only a ten-minute drive to Pinconning, where you can experience Michigan's "Cheese Town" and all it has to offer. There's a grocery store, numerous cheese shops, and a variety of party stores and restaurants. For the outdoor enthusiasts, don't miss out on going to the ever-famous "Northwoods Wholesale Outlet". Also nearby is the "Saganing Eagles Landing Casino" in Standish. We have resided here for over 30 years and can assist you in many ways to get the most out of your visit.
By the way, the definition of the word "Elysium" is "Place of perfect bliss" and yes, we labeled it that long before the movie with Matt Damon was created.

My small private farm is situated on 16 wooded acres with a stream, trails, a fruit and nut orchard, organic produce, and free range chickens - so they are running around. It's very quiet on a dirt road with easy access to I-94 2.5 miles away.
I have a spot along side my gravel drive for a self-contained RV w electric (via extension cord) and water hookup (via hose).
Deer, wild turkey, and other wildlife are abundant so please be watchful driving. You can hear the owls, pileated woodpeckers, herons, hawks, and the songbirds.
Guests are welcome to walk trails, have an opportunity to purchase produce in season: fruits, vegetables, jams, eggs, nuts, flowers, or want a small farm experience to help a little. Kiddos can collect fresh eggs. There are 2 kitties: big black Reishe and little Barni you might see running around.
I'm situated next to inland lakes that offer swimming, boating, fishing with lake Michigan a half hour away with all that has to offer in St. Joseph and Benton Harbor.
One of the largest outdoor flea markets Reits is up the road a couple miles along with golfing. There are many local festivals and art shows non-stop thru fall and many small towns to explore.

***For the preservation of our property, our septic system, the privacy of other campers, all arrivals MUST be prior to dark setting in. If you can't see the signs & posts, you can damage our property AND your vehicle/equipment. All campers must arrive no later than 8:30 p.m. (This time limit will change throughout the season.)
*The property has a lot of wildlife; Deer, Turkey, Rabbits, Coyote, Birds, & Fox.
*A small creek runs across the back of the property.
*There are many lakes just minutes away, as well as the Huron river for fishing & kayaking.
*Public beaches at Lake Chemung & Bishop Lake.
*Campfires allowed. Plenty of dead wood around, or you can purchase firewood bundles onsite.
*Potable water is available to fill water tanks & containers. It is softened from the house.
*Sewer dump station is 5 miles away at Brighton Rec Area (there is a fee).
*Pets are allowed, max of 2 total (cats & dogs only). They must be leashed at all times (15 ft. max).
*Guests that are not part of the Hipcamp Reservation, are not allowed on-site. Guests will need to be met at a location other than our Hipcamp. There are numerous places nearby to gather instead. This assures maximum privacy for all sites and for our family.

*Howell Balloon fest in June.
*Howell Melon fest in August.
*Captain Frosty's Ice Cream is located approximately 2–3 miles away. They offer a variety of ice cream deliciousness, slushies, shakes, and malts.
***FALL ACTIVITIES:
*U-Pick Pumpkin Patch and Petting Farm next door. Free wagon rides on the weekends and a free corn maze anytime. Purchases available: pumpkins, cornstalks, Indian corn, gourds, squash, mums, honey, and other wonderful treats.
*Terrified Forest and Haunted Mansion are just 1 mile away beginning around mid-September for Halloween.
*Apple Orchard is 3–4 miles away. They offer apples have an organic farm stand w/vegetables.

My 4 and a half acres have a natural pond on it. I no longer own a personal flock of ducks but plenty of wild feathered friends come to drink and swim. I am three miles from Lake Michigan and my town has a public access beach. I am surrounded by wineries, breweries, and antique stores. I am in the country but only a few miles off the expressway. Berrien County's adorable small towns are known for their special events all year round.
My sites are dispersed so first come first choice. Find a fixed Fire Ring and set up your camp! Or pick a spot without a ring - I do have portable free fire pits.

This campsite is off M32, (highway) which leads to 131, M66, Charlevoix, Petoskey, East Jordan, Traverse City, Mackinaw City, Mackinaw Island, Sleeping Bear Dunes, etc. The beautiful fern, filled property is rustic to a T! Outhouse on site, newly planted fruit trees on site, very rustic, serene, beautiful, access to the Milky Way, and meteoroid showers. One mile from launch into South Arm of Lake Charlevoix, and less than 0.5 mile to Jordan River Rogers Road access. Beautiful and peaceful area. Located in Lake Charlevoix Watershed Area. Visit some of the local beautiful farms such as Friske's, Lavendar Hill, local farmers markers, and vineyards! There is a casino located in Petoskey on Little Traverse Bay of Lake Michigan as well as Mackinaw! Take a jump off the breakwall, or visit the newest bridge at Boyne Mountain Resort, just a stone's throw away! Relax in peace, the woods, and enjoy a little slice of heaven. There is no electricity, running water, or trash services. Please pack in, pack out. Please do not leave discarded or broken beer or alcohol bottles on property. There are over 30 fruit trees on site, from Black Pearl and Bing Cherries, Apricots, Peach trees, Honeycrisp apples trees etc, 250 sunflower seeds were also planted this season. This is a very delicate area near a local watershed source, Deer Creek, wetlands on property, and also fruit tree farm in it's early stages, organic strawberries, and organic raspberries growing as well. If you can't respect the trees, plants, flowers, on property please do not book! Also with all of the fruit tree plantings, parking is limited to one to two vehicles inside property at site, other vehicles can park along the drive on M32. We have 20 Acres of rolling hills, mostly forested, nestled on the banks of a flowing creek, we are also a dahlia flower farm; in the summer there are hundreds of dahlias blooming, along with many other flowers. If you have a special occasion, that calls for fresh flowers, be sure to let us know (we also offer tours). Our setting is quiet, private and scenic. We occasionally see the Aurora Borealis right from our house. We are located in beautiful Manistee, Michigan where outdoor adventures abound!! Manistee is a peaceful, quaint Northern Michigan town with shopping, antiquing, fine dining and a River Walk. We are minutes from award winning fishing spots on the Big Manistee, Little Manistee, Bear Creek Trout Streams and the Platte River. There are many opportunities to canoe, kayak and paddle board. We are 10 minutes from the Lake Michigan shore, and many beaches are close by. You have a choice of gorgeous sand beaches with picturesque dunes, and rocky beaches for those looking for fossils, agates, beach glass & beautiful beach stones. We are within an hour of Sleeping Bear Dunes with award winning hiking. Traverse City is 40 minutes away with many activities, especially the Cherry Festival. This area is known for live music venues, and lots of weekend art festivals. Manistee is also home to the Little River Casino.
We have firepits at each campsite, dry firewood is available to purchase, feel free to pay by cash, Venmo or CashApp, cost is $15.00 a wheelbarrow and can be found by the wood burning stove under shelter. Fresh flowers bouquets are available to purchase seasonally at our Floral Stand & Market. We have local NON GMO Pasture raised eggs $5 a dozen, Sourdough Bread $10, organically grown garlic, peaches, scones & fishing lures & our Guest Book! An outhouse is available for use and is supplied with toilet paper & hand sanitizer. There is a garbage can and recycling bin near the outhouse. We installed a water hydrant close to the flower bed near the wood pile so you can get potable water to bring back to your site, or hose off with on the spot. A scenic small creek runs by many of the campsites.

Gearing up for our 5th season as the new owners of The Sportsman's Port.
We have made many updates and will continue to do so. We take pride in a
clean bath house, and want everyone to have a great time at our campground. Sometimes it's crazy booked up and other times it may just be you.
Feel free to ask any questions you may have and we will answer them as soon as we can. We look forward to meeting lots of new faces and hopefully starting family traditions for you and yours. We have spacious sites that are all different shapes and sizes. Depending on the site it may have 20/30/50 amp service depending on the site. There are currently only three that have 50 amp service. Also some sites have a septic hookup. Water fill station is located near the bathhouse. There is a private dump station also available for use just ask.

We had a fantastic stay at Site 1 – Elm Valley (hosted by Jayne). From the moment we arrived, Jayne greeted us warmly, offered firewood, and helped guide our 22-ft travel trailer into the perfect spot. The site was level, flat, with water & electric hookups—just what we needed. We were among the last campers of the season and feel grateful we were able to secure such a great location. The location was very convenient—several wineries were just a short drive away—making it easy to explore when time permitted. We were in town for the Iceman Cometh Challenge mountain bike race and enjoyed chatting with Jayne about the event and her family/friends who’ve done it. Upon departure, her husband stopped by to ensure everything was good—it wrapped up the stay perfectly. Jayne is exactly the kind of host you hope for: friendly, attentive but unobtrusive. We’ll absolutely plan to return—maybe next summer to make fuller use of those nearby wineries. Highly recommended.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The scenery was stunning—fall colors everywhere and peaceful views in every direction. It was incredibly quiet and relaxing, perfect for a weekend getaway. The campsite were large, clean, and perfectly level, which made setup a breeze. You can really tell the hosts take pride in keeping the place beautiful and well-maintained.
We’ve done a lot of fall camping, and this was easily one of our favorites. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Our family of four had an absolutely wonderful experience camping here in Northern Michigan! From the very beginning, communication with the hosts was excellent, and the booking process was simple and stress-free.
The grounds were spotless and clearly well cared for, making it easy to feel comfortable and relaxed from the moment we arrived. The location is unbeatable—just a short drive to Suttons Bay, Leland, Northport, Empire, and Traverse City, which made exploring the area a breeze.
Setting up camp was effortless, with water and power hookups that worked perfectly—no issues at all. Everything was smooth and convenient, allowing us to focus on making memories together.
What truly set this trip apart, though, were the hosts themselves. They went above and beyond to share their knowledge of the area and even took the time to teach us and our children about their incredible talents in woodworking and Petoskey Stone carving. It was both educational and unforgettable, and our kids are still talking about it!
We would return in a heartbeat and are already looking forward to our next visit. This place is a gem, and we can’t recommend it enough!

This was my first time using this app, and the campground said it was theirs, too. Upon arriving to Black River Trails Campground I was greeted by friendly people and found out that unfortunately my site had been double booked, and the campground was experiencing a power outage!! The owners put us in a spot that was kind of make-shift, which was fine for us because we had plans in town seeing family that weekend so I knew we wouldn’t be there for the “full camping experience”. The owners brought us over a generator and tended to it, to make sure we could keep on like normal and have our fridge up and running to keep our groceries all cold. The only thing I would have changed about it is, I wish we had a fire pit and a picnic table- we didn’t get to have a fire until Saturday night because our family came to stay at a cabin on the second night, they had a fire pit, however, it was an adorable little cabin, and everything you need if you don’t want to bring a tent. There was quite a bit of poison ivy and sumac around which was only hard to keep my toddler out of, but older kids would be fine. The bathrooms were great and the showers were a bit confusing at first (hot and cold were reversed) but that’s an easy fix once you realize it! Nice and spacious for changing after showering too. The fishing was great and everyone joined in! I think that this situation can be a learning experience- and we would still definitely camp here again.

The site (site 1) was very private. The electric and water hook-ups were new and worked perfectly. It was nice to have fire wood and trash services on site as well. The best thing was the location as it was very close to everything we wanted to do the entire weekend. We would certainly stay there again.

Upon arrival Mike was quick to greet us and even helped back the trailer around into place. So peaceful and quiet….and just what we needed to reset. We will be going back to the area again and I would definitely stay there again. Absolutely loved the space and wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you Mike and Jayne.

We had a great stay here. It's up on a hill top with each camping spot having it's own fire pit, picnic table, electric and water. Hosts suggestions for Suttons Bay were spot on and we really enjoyed this small town about 10 to 15 minutes away.

The camp sites are a little tight and unlevel but once you get your camper situated, it is worth the trouble! The camp host and the owners are amazingly friendly and helpful. The site is very peaceful and private. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely contact them again when we are in the Sutton’s Bay area. Check this place out, you won’t be disappointed!
