The end of the driveway is a large crushed gravel parking pad which should easily accommodate any RV or trailer (make sure you back in, there's no room to turn around). Watch the family of 5 eagles fly back and forth across the cove and bring binoculars to watch them as they perch in nearby trees. There is a group fire pit area on the grounds for everyone. Many people do not need electricity these days. So I have lowered the price of the spot. It is without electricity. You can add it on if you wish at $20 per night. You will need a long extension, and it is 20 amps. please request electric prior to visit. I have water for your holding tank. it is clean from my well and brought to you via garden hose. Sorry, no sewer. This is an excellent spot for a short stay. It is good if you need to be here a couple of days prior to your campground stay! I have been enjoying hosting campers here for the past two seasons. I can't wait to meet you! The back bedroom has a new, super-comfy queen bed, two drawers, and plenty of hooks. The bed has a mattress cover and clean, fitted sheet. BRING YOUR OWN SLEEPING BAGS AND PILLOWS. PATIO & OUTDOOR KITCHEN - Adjacent to the cabin is a lovely cedar patio with a fully-stocked outdoor kitchen, patio table and chairs with an umbrella for shade, and outdoor games (corn hole and bocce). *Please read full description before booking. Please be aware, this is rustic camping in the yard. This is not a campground or upscale facility. Welcome to Lilac Firefly! This is a residential 7 acre property in a quiet and safe neighborhood. We are right off the main road for easy access about 15-20 minutes south of Bangor. It is very peaceful and calm here. We live in the 5 bedroom older farmhouse where you can use the bathroom if needed. You will receive a code for the electronic door lock. There is a small stream and community fireplace by the 4 campsites and another fireplace closer to the garden. The designated campsites are at the rear of the property and are first come, first serve. A tent can be set up anywhere on the 7 acres and does not need to be in the designated campsite area. We have easily acomodated 20+ canpers at once (6-8 groups), though typically you might be the only group here. Car camping, van life, and RVs are welcome! There are some lightly wooded areas, apple trees, a pear tree, and an open field. We are pet friendly and there animals that live here that won't bother you. I also travel a lot as a DJ and audio tech and might not be here, but have a self check in process and video I will send. Roommates are generally here. Maine Savings Amphitheatre is 15 min away (concerts in Bangor). Acadia National Park is just over 1 hour away. Bangor and Bucksport are both about 15 min away. Fort Knox is about 20 min away. From the campsites, the road and house are not visible. We have flowers when in season, deer, turkey, birds, and friendly creatures that visit. Please be ready to be self sufficient and sustainable in any weather. Well water is available at the RV posts and passes all tests - pure and safe for drinking. RV parking may need to be arranged with myself. For RVs, Electric hook up is 30amp and an extra $10/day. Water hook up is $5/fill. Chopped, split, and dried wood (pine) is available included in your Hipcamp fee! You can burn what you need for the day/night. Thank you. This property is an excellent location near Acadia National Park, Blue Hill, Bangor, and Belfast Maine. It is on RTE 1. The lot is a large, grass, pull-through location. Please read the description carefully. The location is on the corner of RTE 1 and Powers Drive Lane. To enter, turn onto Powers Drive and take a sharp left into the first driveway and onto the grass back toward rte 1. Park parallel with Powers Drive Lane near the big oaks. Pajaritaflora Artist Studio/Gallery is located here. I am an artist. Welcome to my studio property. There is a long spacious spot for most sizes RV. It has level grass for you to park on. There is a group fire pit area on the grounds for everyone. Many people do not need electricity these days. So I have lowered the price of the spot. It is without electricity. You can add it on if you wish at $20 per night. You will need a long extension, and it is 20 amps. please request electric prior to visit. I have water for your holding tank. it is clean from my well and brought to you via garden hose. Sorry, no sewer. This is an excellent spot for a short stay. It is good if you need to be here a couple of days prior to your campground stay! I have been enjoying hosting campers here for the past two seasons. I can't wait to meet you! This is my fourth season here.

It is a one-hour drive to Acadia National Park! ECO-CABIN. The two-room, insulated, clean and cozy cabin has an adorable front porch with two fold-out chairs and a small table. There are solar string lights that light up automatically at night. Inside you will find all new furnishings. The main room has a dining table and two chairs, a small library of local authors, games for indoor entertainment, and solar lanterns and battery-powered candles for when it's dark. The back bedroom has a new, super-comfy queen bed, two drawers, and plenty of hooks. The bed has a mattress cover and clean, fitted sheet. BRING YOUR OWN SLEEPING BAGS AND PILLOWS. PATIO & OUTDOOR KITCHEN - Adjacent to the cabin is a lovely cedar patio with a fully-stocked outdoor kitchen, patio table and chairs with an umbrella for shade, and outdoor games (corn hole and bocce). *Please read full description before booking. Please be aware, this is rustic camping in the yard. This is not a campground or upscale facility. Welcome to Lilac Firefly! This is a residential 7 acre property in a quiet and safe neighborhood. We are right off the main road for easy access about 15-20 minutes south of Bangor. It is very peaceful and calm here. We live in the 5 bedroom older farmhouse where you can use the bathroom if needed. You will receive a code for the electronic door lock. There is a small stream and community fireplace by the 4 campsites and another fireplace closer to the garden. The designated campsites are at the rear of the property and are first come, first serve. A tent can be set up anywhere on the 7 acres and does not need to be in the designated campsite area. We have easily acomodated 20+ canpers at once (6-8 groups), though typically you might be the only group here. Car camping, van life, and RVs are welcome! There are some lightly wooded areas, apple trees, a pear tree, and an open field. We are pet friendly and there animals that live here that won't bother you. I also travel a lot as a DJ and audio tech and might not be here, but have a self check in process and video I will send. Roommates are generally here. Maine Savings Amphitheatre is 15 min away (concerts in Bangor). Acadia National Park is just over 1 hour away. Bangor and Bucksport are both about 15 min away. Fort Knox is about 20 min away. From the campsites, the road and house are not visible. We have flowers when in season, deer, turkey, birds, and friendly creatures that visit. Please be ready to be self sufficient and sustainable in any weather. Well water is available at the RV posts and passes all tests - pure and safe for drinking. RV parking may need to be arranged with myself. For RVs, Electric hook up is 30amp and an extra $10/day. Water hook up is $5/fill. Chopped, split, and dried wood (pine) is available included in your Hipcamp fee! You can burn what you need for the day/night. Thank you. Weekend Trip to Four Acre Woods Island Campground

We absolutely loved our stay at Four Acre Woods Campground. If anything we wish we had stayed longer! The campsite was out on a very quiet island, truly not too far from our outings. We stayed on the primitive secluded site which was absolutely perfect. It was very spacious, with tons of privacy, located steps away from the community cabin. We wish we had more time to enjoy the community cabin as it was warm, filled with books, games, cookware, utensils, lanterns, ice, tea, coffee, local guides and cozy sofas. Our campsite additionally had a private walk way to the bathrooms, which we were pleasantly surprised by for a campsite! The shower was equipped with shampoo, conditioner and body wash if needed, and the bathroom was as clean as you could possibly expect a campsite bathroom to be! Firewood was easy to purchase and bring over to our campsite which we appreciated. The hosts were very kind and helpful and we truly hope to be back again next year to hopefully spend a much longer stay at the four acre woods and get a chance to experience the onsite sauna :) thanks so much for having us! Would 110% recommend. (Ps. Just beware of deer and wildlife on the drive in, it is deer isle after all ;) )

I slept in my tent near the apple tree with the large green apples and the deer were right outside my tent all night and everytime an apple hit the ground they would grunt and prance in excitement and I could hear them crunching down on the apples all night. I spent three nights in the cozy barn tucked close to the wolves, and it was incredible drifting off to the sound of their howls at night. Super helpful hosts and a nice Hipcamp. It is as advertised for the most part being a rustic cabin. We've stayed in many rustic cabins through Hipcamp. A few things to note: Even though there is a woodstove (we used every night to keep us warm) the cabin does not hold heat because the walls to the cabin have large gaps so we had to use 4 bundles of hardwood a night to keep it comfortable at night (temps in the 20° to mid 30°s) We were somewhat prepared because we knew it wasn't insulated but we were not expecting the amount of heat loss due to all the gaps in the cabin. There are other campsites on the property which are a good distance away (some within sight) We got a little freaked out by a group of campers walking up to the cabin at 10:30 at night and waking us up. (Definitely not the host's fault) but just be aware it's not the most secluded. Being in the cabin it was a little quieter but this spot is off a main road so there is a bit of noise from that but definitely not something that would completely deter me. The host was very helpful when we mentioned that we'd like to drive up to the cabin. They told us we were not able to do that (I'd just suggest taking that as an option off the listing because we chose this site in part because of that having 4wd) but they offered to help us bring our stuff with another wagon attached to the owners tractor which was very nice. The cabin is equipped with everything you would need for rustic camp: pots, pans, water, utensils.

The bathroom and shower (with real hot water) felt luxurious. The kitchen looked great, though we were so busy trekking in Acadia that we didn't really use it; we opted for local diners and brunch spots. It is very easy to find, no matter how late or dark it is, because it is really just off Route 1. The tent and surrounding areas were super clean, and you just needed to sit and enjoy the beautiful water view.

My son (age 12) and I have been to Four Acre Woods for the last 2 years and really enjoyed it. The first year we tent camped and this year we stayed in the yurt. The campground is very small, which we like and each site is unique. Lots of amenities for such a small campground, they really think of the little things that keeps camping comfortable. The yurt was wonderful and the campsite has everything you need (we brought too much stuff). Just bring yourself, clothes, and food and you are good to go. We are fairly local, so it is a great weekend getaway, but we don't really explore the area when camping. If you want to experience the downeast Maine coast away from the more touristy spots, this is where you want to go.
