Weekend Trip to Lakeside Mini A-Frame

Pond was fantastic and the layout of the campsite was absolutely beautiful. Definitely felt like you are part of the nature.

7 nights at Graham Cracker Cabin and Campsites

This campsite was amazing and would highly recommend staying! I booked the Angler's Delight campsite for a week long camping/hiking trip with a bunch of first time campers. The campsite could not have been better suited for such a trip. The campsite was nestled inside a small tree grove inbetween a field of wildflowers and a beautiful brook. At night, the field and brook filled up with fireflies. There were 7 of us in our group, and we were worried that the space would be too cramped for all of us for the entire week. However, the campsite had enough space for us to pitch a 6 person, 4 person, and 2 one person tents, so we were able to spread out a bit at night. We were likewise free to wade through the brook and walk around the property—so our group had plenty of room to spread out on days when we wanted a bit of privacy. The location was perfectly inbetween our two primary destinations: about a 45 min drive to Acadia and a 2hr drive to Baxter State Park. There is a town in etween the campsite and Acadia NP, so getting cooking provisions daily was very straightforward. The hosts themselves reply very quickly and were incredibly nice and helpful. The porta potty ran out of toilet paper one morning and they restocked it almost immediately. They likewise cleared a small space in the middle of the flower field for us to set up our telescope and star gaze. The hosts could not have been more attentive.

Great location! Close to town if you need supplies. Also only 45 minutes to Acadia National Park. All amenities were as advertised. Host was very communicative. Yurt was comfy and is pet friendly. They have a wagon you can pull to bring stuff from your car to your site. My wife and I would happily stay here again. Thank you!!

My friend and I have stayed at this campground a few years back (when it was under a different management). There has been significant improvement in the amenities as the bathrooms were renovated and there has been some site changes to the campground including some platforms to camp on. The campsite is quite intimate, but also rustic. There is a lot of space to park your car and set up a tent. There is a campfire with the ring to contain the fire and also water and electric (on our specific site at least). The bathroom was very clean and in great condition with hot and cold water. There are rentals for kayaking if thatʻs something you are interested in. We didnʻt have time to do that, but itʻs a great option to have as there is access to the Somes Sound Fjord at the bottom of the hill. We look forward to returning again!

Evan was very accommodating and responsive even though he wasn't home. Everything was as he said it would be. I would absolutely stay there again without hesitation. It was a delightful place with a friendly house cat.

We tucked our Vanny in next to the driveway and it was great. Quiet & felt private even when other people came. The welcome video oriented us. Lovely place to walk around. We didn’t do a fire but the fire circles were cute & cozy.

We had such an amazing experience at this camp! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome, everyone was so friendly, helpful, and genuinely kind. The entire place is spotless, which made our stay even more enjoyable and comfortable. One of the best surprises was discovering they had a pool, it was such a fun bonus and the perfect way to relax after a day of exploring. And to top it all off, the camp is dog-friendly, which was a huge plus for us! Our pup had the best time, and it made the experience even more special. We truly enjoyed every moment and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend!

2 nights at Lakeside Mini A-Frame

The site was so perfect! Everything you need for the kitchen made cooking so easy. The shower, hammock, kayaks and fire pit provided all the elements for a great trip 🤩

1 night at Quarry Ledge Campground

We stayed here our last night on mount desert here. Close proximity to hiking and echo lake. It was quiet, the pool was great, we used the paddle boat on the quarry and the staff in the office were so kind! We rented kayaks in the morning before we left, highly recommend! saw lots seals, porpoises and eagles pretty close up. the sound was so quiet and peaceful. There are a range of different sites and even though ours was closer to the road, it was still very quiet. I definitely would stay here again!!

It was a great stay as always at Evan's place, which is flush with life including fireflies in the evening. He is flexible and the details for check-in and getting to a site is very helpful. Can't wait to be back!

Beautiful spot to pitch a tent and chill next to the pond and have a fire. Friendly host, All amenities as described. Would recommend this spot to fellow nature lovers and especially frog lovers 🐸💖🌿✨🎶 Felt very private. We didn't get a chance to use the kayaks provided with our stay, but would have if we had time! A nice option.

Sarah was friendly and available as a great host. Even though the Waller tent site was just on Sarah’s back property, you felt like you had acres & acres of forest & fields all to yourself. Very quiet & relaxing. Location was great for easy day trips too.

Even with our late arrival, Michelle still managed to welcome us so warmly. Check in went smoothly, very easy to find, and great location. Access to all campground amenities which is great ! We had no neighbors where we were situated, so it was nice. Quiet area. The A frame was as described and exactly what we were looking for, especially with functional AC!

This is a beautiful spot!!! It was relaxing and quiet, beautiful wild flowers and the fireflies at night! It’s a great location , we biked to Deer Ise and swam right down the road from the cabin. It’s a quaint space with everything you need. Loved the composting toilet and umbrella on the deck.

Graham Lake is just a stone's throw away. Great for kayaking, fishing, and swimming. This magical place is just beyond our farm where we you can buy fresh chicken and duck eggs daily at the house. Lilac Firefly

*Please read full description before booking. Please be aware, this is rustic camping in the yard. This is not a campground or upscale facility. Welcome to Lilac Firefly! This is a residential 7 acre property in a quiet and safe neighborhood. We are right off the main road for easy access about 15-20 minutes south of Bangor. It is very peaceful and calm here. We live in the 5 bedroom older farmhouse where you can use the bathroom if needed. You will receive a code for the electronic door lock. There is a small stream and community fireplace by the 4 campsites and another fireplace closer to the garden. The designated campsites are at the rear of the property and are first come, first serve. A tent can be set up anywhere on the 7 acres and does not need to be in the designated campsite area. We have easily acomodated 20+ canpers at once (6-8 groups), though typically you might be the only group here. Car camping, van life, and RVs are welcome! There are some lightly wooded areas, apple trees, a pear tree, and an open field. We are pet friendly and there animals that live here that won't bother you. I also travel a lot as a DJ and audio tech and might not be here, but have a self check in process and video I will send. Roommates are generally here. Maine Savings Amphitheatre is 15 min away (concerts in Bangor). Acadia National Park is just over 1 hour away. Bangor and Bucksport are both about 15 min away. Fort Knox is about 20 min away. From the campsites, the road and house are not visible. We have flowers when in season, deer, turkey, birds, and friendly creatures that visit. Please be ready to be self sufficient and sustainable in any weather. Well water is available at the RV posts and passes all tests - pure and safe for drinking. RV parking may need to be arranged with myself. For RVs, Electric hook up is 30amp and an extra $10/day. Water hook up is $5/fill. Chopped, split, and dried wood (pine) is available included in your Hipcamp fee! You can burn what you need for the day/night. Thank you. Come relax on this private 5 acre waterfront escape. A long driveway will open up into a cleared lot. The end of the driveway is a large crushed gravel parking pad which should easily accommodate any RV or trailer (make sure you back in, there's no room to turn around). The pad is mostly flat, but minor leveling on RV's is probably still needed. Site overlooks Flanders Bay which feeds into Mount Desert Narrows. Watch the family of 5 eagles fly back and forth across the cove and bring binoculars to watch them as they perch in nearby trees. The cove is filled with a variety of seabirds and the occasional harbor seal. You will have complete quiet as you listen to the sounds of forest and coastal life.Property is located 11 miles from Schoodic Peninsula of Acadia National park and a quick 35 miles from Bar Harbor. From May through mid November, site includes access to a HOT outdoor shower, well water, a working sink with hot water. Water is turned off after November 15th until late spring, weather dependent. NEW THIS YEAR- we have installed a 50/30 AMP hookup for trailers/RV's - we do charge $15 extra per night for hookups, please coordinate with us at time of booking if you will need power for your camper - There is an electric outlet for small electronics like laptops/phones/coffee pot, site includes a campfire area, lots of open spaces to pitch a tent, and an outhouse. Biking trails hiking around us and Acadia national parks. Dollar General and play ground and skate park across the road. Ice cream shop next door.

Lakeside Mini A-Frame

Our cute little A-frame sleeps 2 people comfortably. It comes with its own outdoor kitchen, grill and outdoor bathroom, with a hot shower and composting toilet. There is cell phone service here as well. You will also enjoy your own private waterfront space with free kayak use, hammocks and firepit with complimentary fire wood. The lake does not have a sandy bottom, so you might want to bring water shoes. We are located about halfway between Bangor and Ellsworth. The Mini is a perfect spot for day trips to the coast. Just a 15 minute ride to Bangor where you will find many local breweries, restaurants, concert venue, theaters, shopping and night life. We are only an hour away from beautiful Mount Desert Island. Our area has abundant small wildlife. We regularly see rabbits, geese, ducks, beaver, eagles, osprey and of course loons. Kayak over to our private island where there are blueberries, and a mating pair of eagles. Paddle over, have lunch, pick some blueberries for your morning cereal, go for a swim. You could also kayak through the thoroughfare to Holbrook Pond. The site is small, just 1 acre and we do live very close by. You will have privacy, but you may hear or see us or our dogs at points during your stay. We will provide a few jugs of water, but you may want to bring some of your own. Cookware, plates, cups, utensils, and cooler are available for use. There is also a gas grill available. Linens will be provided if you don't bring your own, however the bed might not be made up. Our work schedules don't allow us to be how before 4:00 to clean up from previous campers. When checking out, please strip the bed and leave in tote. Thank you for your understanding.

Please read the description carefully. The location is on the corner of RTE 1 and Powers Drive Lane. To enter, turn onto Powers Drive and take a sharp left into the first driveway and onto the grass back toward rte 1. Park parallel with Powers Drive Lane near the big oaks. Pajaritaflora Artist Studio/Gallery is located here. I am an artist. Welcome to my studio property. There is a long spacious spot for most sizes RV. It has level grass for you to park on. There is a group fire pit area on the grounds for everyone. Many people do not need electricity these days. So I have lowered the price of the spot. It is without electricity. You can add it on if you wish at $20 per night. You will need a long extension, and it is 20 amps. I have water for your holding tank. Sorry, no sewer. This is an excellent spot for a short stay. It is good if you need to be here a couple of days prior to your campground stay! I have been enjoying hosting campers here for the past two seasons. I can't wait to meet you! This is my third season here.

Two of the 13 sites are ocean front, and 3 of them are RV accessible. Our campground has many ocean based activities including rental kayaks, canoes, sailboats, SUP's, and motor boats. We have certifed kayak guides and sailing instructors on staff who can take inexperienced boaters out on guided trips.
