This place is absolutely incredible. It’s the perfect mix of camping and luxury — you get all the outdoor vibes but with way more comfort than a normal campsite. The location couldn’t be better: a short drive to Acadia National Park and Stonington, Maine, but still tucked right into nature.
The stargazing here is honestly the best I’ve ever seen. Laying back and looking up at that sky at night is unreal. The geodomes are really well set up, super clean, and you can tell they thought of every little detail to make the experience awesome and so comfortable.
If you’re into the outdoors but don’t want to totally rough it, this is the spot. Hands down one of the coolest places I’ve ever stayed! Cannot wait to come back.

The doom tent exceeded all of our expectations. The beds were very comfortable, as was having both ac and heat. The bathrooms were individual private stalls even though they were shared. Caleb went out of his way to meet our needs!

We wish we could’ve spent more time here. It was such a well appointed dome, they thought of everything. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were great! Everything was spotless and the hosts were great communicators. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience glamping.

Ferncrest Acadia is amazing! We are very familiar with the area, visit regularly, and are super excited that Ferncrest chose this location.
Caleb greeted us by name when we arrived, and we also met his super friendly four legged side kick. He was genuine, friendly, and a great host.
We stayed in a dome and loved it! It’s the perfect glamping experience. The bed was super comfortable and the furnishings were really well thought out. They even had a pour over coffee set up with everything you need, including coffee from a local Maine roaster!
It poured over night and the temp dropped, and we were toasty warm and dry. The sound of rain on the dome was lulling. The bathhouse was also well thought out and felt luxurious for camping, IYKYK!
This is a welcome addition to Sedgwick and we can’t wait to return!

We absolutely loved our stay at Ferncrest Acadia! The campground is beautifully maintained, peaceful, and perfectly located for exploring the Blue Hill Peninsula and Acadia National Park. The sites are spacious and private, and the amenities (like the clean bathhouses and walking trails) made our stay so comfortable. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. We especially appreciated the little touches — fresh blueberries, starry skies, and the quiet serenity of nature. Can’t wait to come back next season!

Could not recommend more highly. The tents are larger than they appear and extremely comfortable. The night sky was perfect on our stay. Caleb could not have been more accommodating; he was fantastic. We would definitely stay again when in the area.

Amazing experience staying at Ferncrest Acadia. Caleb was super helpful and welcoming with check-in which was a breeze! This was the perfect location and jumping off point for our Acadia adventure. We stayed in the only cabin on site but really enjoyed the experience of glamping:)! Had everything we could have needed on site/in the cabin. Fun experience and will be sure to check out the yurts next time around. Highly recommend!

We had a delightful experience staying at Ferncrest Acadia. I stayed with my two teens and we had fun exploring the area, making a fire and s'mores at night (thank you for the provided roasting sticks, Caleb), and stargazing. The room was impeccably clean and well set up - included a mini fridge, and a set up for pour-over local, delicious coffee. The drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park is an easy and beautiful drive of about an hour with lots of options for restaurants, etc along the way. You can tell a lot of care and attention went into this spot and we had a great stay.

Our stay at Ferncrest was exactly what we needed and more! I highly recommend going with the cabin (I think number 8) with the wood burning hot tub, do it! The domes are very clean, private, and the hot hub just kicks it up a notch. Imagine, lighting a fire in the fire ring, jumping in the tub, and watching the expansive night sky with full visibility of all the stars. Truly a dream.
After spending a week hiking in Acadia, coming back to a clean bed, showers, a sauna, and hot tub was exactly what we needed.
If you get the chance to sit and chat with Caleb, your host - you’re really in for a treat. His stories, warmth, and knowledge of the area are the icing on the cake.
And while we are talking about cake, don’t forget to walk across the street to the Maine lobster lady for a perfect lunch, dinner, and amazing homemade pastries.

This place was really nice. They provide us with all the amenities that was needed for a comfortable stay. The bathroom is always so clean and self serve firewoods. The price is very reasonable for the things that they provide you with and big field for people that’s bringing dog. In a very quiet location with not much tourism around. It does get cold in October so bring extra blanket and layers for sure. Sunset spot (caterpillars hill) is literally a min up the road.

This was my first time staying at a ferncrest campsite and I was blown away. We felt extremely comfortable and safe, the amenities were great, free water and coffee and firewood to enhance your stay. Just a really ideal situation if you want the feel of camping with a bit more comfort and luxury. Will be booking many more trips with them to come!

My husband and I had a great weekend at Ferncrest in Sargentville, Maine! We were greeted by Caleb and his adorable dog, who made us feel right at home. Caleb was so friendly and provided us with some fantastic recommendations for places to explore.
Our accommodations were wonderful —bright, clean, and cozy! The dome we stayed in was very private, and the beds were so comfortable. We were impressed with how clean and crisp everything was! Outside, we had our own individual fire pit, grill, picnic table, and bench. A perfect setup to sit, relax, and watch the stars at night
The bathrooms were another highlight! Each one had its own private space with a large shower. We loved the nice touch of quality shampoo, conditioner, and body soap in each bathroom as well.
This trip was the perfect mix for both of us; my husband felt like he was camping while I enjoyed the cozy hotel vibe! We can’t say enough good things about our experience at Ferncrest and with Caleb. We can’t wait to come back again!

We stayed in the cabin with our dog for 3 days and it was a fantastic experience! The staff was really supportive, the location perfect for visiting Acadia National Park and the cabin well equipped for cold weather. The bathroom / shower is in a separated building but easy to access and clean. Recommended 100%

Cool spin on traditional camping that extends the season if you chose a dome site. Everything you need is here, great service and super responsive to questions. Immaculate amenities a short walk on site. Location is close to 40 plus hikes, paddling and amazing scenic outlooks. Short drive to Stonington, Blue Hill, Acadia and Bar Harbor. Close by you will find homemade items sold on the roadside small markets with necessities like gas, groceries and lobster. We will definitely be back!

We could not be happier with our stay at Ferncrest Acadia! The location is ideal for a family getaway (we brought our 2 daughters, 9 and 10, along with our 2 dogs) to enjoy the serenity of nature.
We intended on spending our 4 day weekend at Acadia National Park but only made it there once because there was so much to do in the area and we really didn't want to leave.
We highly recommend Ferncrest Acadia and promise that you will love it. Also, cheers to Caleb for being a tremendous host and doing such a good job with the property.

Considering Ferncrest Acadia is brand new, we were absolutely amazed at how well put together everything was. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that an incredible amount of thought and care went into every detail of the property. The domes are stylish, cozy, and perfectly nestled into nature; but what really blew us away were the bathrooms. They were beyond amazing, modern, pristine, and surprisingly luxurious for a glamping experience.
One thing I was a little worried about before arriving was the idea of having to park in a common lot and haul all my gear down to the dome. But to my very pleasant surprise, I had my own parking space right next to the dome. It may seem like a small detail, but it made my day and honestly I expected that kind of convenience. Being able to get what I needed out of my truck when I needed it made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
I’m really excited to see what’s coming next as Ferncrest Acadia grows, and I have a feeling this is just the beginning of something really special. I've been telling all my friends, family, and anyone that will listen about it. If you’re looking for a peaceful, glamping escape in Maine, this is a great option.

We camped in a primitive spot at Ferncrest Acadia over 8/22-8/24/25. The location was accessible for us to a family visit in Surrey. We arrived after 10PM but were easily able to find our campsite and get settled. All was quiet and peaceful, with loons calling in the distance (sweet!). The proximity to the showers/lavatories was great; not so close that we heard people but close enough to walk over when needed. Everything was spotless and well organized. Our communications with staff, both remotely and on-site (Caleb) were extremely helpful, with prompt and accurate responses. Would definitely return.

We just discovered this new campsite near Acadia, and it honestly felt like such a gem! The sites are roomy and clean, with plenty of space to relax without feeling crowded. Everything is well thought out—from the amazing mattresses to the spotless bathrooms and showers. You can tell the owners put a lot of love into creating a comfortable, welcoming space.
What really made it special, though, was the atmosphere. It’s close enough to Acadia and Bar Harbor that we could pop over for hikes and exploring, but when we came back, it felt quiet and peaceful—like our own little retreat in the woods. We had campfires under the stars every night, and it was perfect.
Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We left feeling like we’d found a place we’ll keep coming back to. If you’re heading to Acadia, this spot is definitely worth checking out!”

We LOVED Ferncrest! This was our first time in Acadia and we loved the location. Just outside bar harbor but close to stonington and blue hill. Quiet, cozy and gorgeous. Definitely worth it just for the sauna after a long day of hiking. Cabin and bathroom were so clean and stocked with wonderful products .

We had a wonderful weekend getaway at Ferncrest Acadia. The location is perfect - all of the coastal Maine beauty without the crowds and traffic. The dome was stocked with everything we needed, from water and coffee, to firewood and marshmallow roasting sticks. Caleb and his team have done an incredible job of making the space welcoming and relaxing. The sauna and cold plunge were a major highlight. I wish we could have stayed longer! It was just so relaxing and there are so many great trails nearby.

Ferncrest Acadia is a gem! This place is perfect for those who don't identify as "campers" but still want an experience closer to nature than a hotel could offer (or anyone who wants a more upscale "glamping" experience in a beautiful place). The domes are cozy and luxurious. The bathhouse/showers are beautiful and spotless - no icky campground bathrooms here. My interactions with staff, both remotely and on-site, were pleasant and helpful.
Ferncrest is conveniently located just before the Deer Isle bridge and about an hour from Acadia (without the Bar Harbor chaos). I loved hanging out in the sauna after a long day of exploring. All of the other campers were friendly and pleasant. Nighttime is peaceful with minimal road noise. The stargazing is incredible as there is barely any light pollution.
Though it only opened a few months ago, you can feel the love put into the space. Caleb is an incredible host, and I can't wait to see what the future has in store for Ferncrest :)

Ferncrest Acadia is so special! It’s a brand new place, and they’ve absolutely nailed it. The location is perfect!! Peaceful, surrounded by nature, and still super close to Acadia and all the little towns and hikes nearby.
The geodome was insanely cozy and felt so luxurious! Like the perfect mix of comfort and nature. We slept like babies and never wanted to leave!
And the stargazing? Out of this world. We laid outside for hours just watching the sky—I've never seen stars like that before. It felt totally magical.
You can even pick fresh blueberries right on the property, which was such a fun bonus. Every little detail was so thoughtful, and everything just felt easy.
We already can’t wait to come back. If you’re headed to Maine, Ferncrest Acadia needs to be on your list!!
