Amazing weekend camping here! About 40 mins from Acadia. Good price and I was able to book last min for the 4th of July weekend. Michael is super nice and communicates well. I will come back if I’m in the area!

1 night at Quarry Ledge Campground

We stayed here our last night on mount desert here. Close proximity to hiking and echo lake. It was quiet, the pool was great, we used the paddle boat on the quarry and the staff in the office were so kind! We rented kayaks in the morning before we left, highly recommend! saw lots seals, porpoises and eagles pretty close up. the sound was so quiet and peaceful. There are a range of different sites and even though ours was closer to the road, it was still very quiet. I definitely would stay here again!!

3 nights at Four Acre Woods Campground

The camp facilities were great, bathrooms clean, small trash receptacles stationed around the area, ice and firewood for sale with QR code for Venmo, games and books in the community hall, the sauna was a great touch, too! The mosquitos were very busy but that’s nature. My only comment was that I was disappointed that there wasn’t any nearby public ocean access, but that was mostly my own assumption based on the photos (which I assume are meant to show the beauty of Deer Isle, rather than what is available/walkable from the campground). I would definitely recommend, and we’re looking forward to going back to stay in the Four Acre Woods Yurts next time!

The amenities to this campground were top notch! We loved the sauna experience. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Overall the campground was very well kept. The sites were very close to each other, but we didn't mind since we mostly spent our time exploring the islands.

This is in a rock quarry that the owner still works on occasion. There are several sites. We were in the first one on entry into the area. The assortment of colors, shapes, and sizes of beautiful rocks kept me entertained. The road in is rough gravel and past some other farm sites. But we were behind a linked gate and felt comfortable in our campsite.

We had a great stay at True Serendipity. Mike and Cheryl are very welcoming, highly invested in their land, and make their guests feel appreciated. Very nice to be given a bundle of wood for a fire. Clean, convenient bathroom with sink. Potable water available. Convenient access to Acadia NP. Enjoyed using their row boat on the pond. Surrounded by nature in a lovely part of Maine with special owners.

Ellie's RV Spot is a single RV site designed for use by any length Class A thru C motorized or towable style recreational vehicles including conversion vans/off grid vehicles. 50 or 30 amp electric, water, sewer and screaming fast wifi are included. All RV's including off grid and pop-ups must set up on GRAVEL PAD only. This is to prevent damage to the private septic system. Your camper RV, off grid van or pop up MUST have an on board toilet, composting or otherwise, no exceptions. **Tenting is not an option on this site, sorry.** The RV's pictured belong to past guests and are not available for rent. A sister cabin shares the half acre site and is separated by a 16 foot long 9 foot high fence. This cabin is booked up 95 percent for the season. Ellie's location allows easy access to both the Mount Desert Island section of Acadia and the Schoodic Peninsula section. Well behaved dogs/pets are allowed on the site for $7 per pet per night. If you would like to bring a pet, please add a pet fee which is listed as an extra during the booking process. All pets on site must be leashed at all times, no exceptions. Campfires are allowed on this site when winds are under 10 mph. Check local weather first. We continue to provide free, locally grown, organic firewood in order to combat inflation and help you stretch your vacation dollar. While Ellie's doesn't have direct water access, there are many shoreline points of access close by. Beaches and water access are everywhere. Wide open space does exist. Come explore the Maine coast. Commuter traffic can be seen and heard from Ellie's RV spot. State route 204 funnels park visitors to Acadia and the MDI area. In 2024 nearly 4 million people visited the Acadia area. Slow down, plan ahead and be patient. 2025 update: You can purchase your park pass online and print it before you arrive. Reservations for Cadillac Mountain are now required due to overcrowding. We have one security camera located on the main fence. This is for your protection as well as ours. For winter stays please send a request before booking. We have 30 or 50 amp electric and sewer only from Nov 1 ~ April 30. Water, wifi and trash removal are suspended for the winter. Snow might prevent access during some weeks. Request first!

Until they grow back . Your booking $ helps fund all of these projects that I do . Plenty of acres to explore quiet and peaceful. . When this area was originally settled, the farm was located on the "highway" from Camden to seasonal pastures in Lincolnville. The trails leading to the park still go by the old foundations that dotted the old Government Road from Camden. The farm has 46 acres of flowing pasture, hardwood forest and flower and vegetable gardens. At the heart of the property is a large farm pond that has been used to water livestock for generations. There are lots of hiking trails in the area. If you're interested in touring some of the towns nearby, Lubec, Eastport, Machias, and Campobello Island are all good choices. And, they all have a hiking trail or two, and I place to have lunch.
