Escape to a private retreat on Mount Desert Island at the foot of Acadia National Park surrounded by 10 acres of peaceful Maine forest. Enjoy hiking and biking on Acadia's many trails, a canoe or kayak ride on nearby Somes or Long Pond, a pleasant fire pit and the quiet beauty of nature. Conveniently located at the top of the island where the towns of Bar Harbor, Southwest Harbor, and Northeast Harbor are all just a 20 minute drive away.Dry, flat parking space for RV or camper next to a house and garage surrounded by peaceful woods at the end of a long driveway. Plenty of space to spread out. Site includes a fire pit with plenty of seating and access to a water spigot and outlets on the front of the house. A sewer inlet is located just behind the larger garage up the hill and is available upon request. There is one person living on the property that you may cross paths with, but otherwise it's a quite place to be. Acadia National Park is a short drive away. Swimming and other water activities can be found at either Somes Pond or Long Pond just down the road. The Indian Point Blue Horizon preserve is a short drive away with its pet friendly hiking trails down to the ocean. The Town Hill Market and Somesville One Stop are each a five minute drive away. Bundles of split wood are available for purchase at the end of the driveway for just $4.
