Wonderful hosts provided information on the area and checked in to see how we were doing. Great location to explore all of the various activities within the Gorge. Would definitely stay again

2 nights at Plantasia Homestead at Anglin Falls

This place was exactly what I was looking for when I wanted to get away. The area is so quiet, so peaceful even my 14 yr old boy wanted to talk quietly. The campsight was clean, the tent on a raised platform under cover. The spring water was so good my son, who is picky, drank it all the time. We loved the hills and quiet. Town is close enough if desired. This is a place to be at peace and center yourself before coming back to life elsewhere. We cant wait to come back.

2 nights at The LAAAAND (just you & 50 acres)

I don’t even know where to start! This property is absolutely gorgeous. The trail markers around the property show off some of the coolest spots, but even just relaxing by the fire pit was beautiful. Lots of wildlife sounds especially at night. The site is very secluded and feels like a backcountry camp! This is my favorite Hipcamp find so far! Will hopefully be back soon :)

Weekend Trip to Whimsical Treehouses and Trails!!

Perfect place for kids (5 and 4). They loved the treehouse. I appreciated all the whimsical things on the property: we hiked the hobbit trail, played in camp creek for hours, crossed it on the rope bridge, swung on all sorts of swings, brushed wind chimes, and knocked out most of the scavenger hunt.

Very cute little camping spot next to a beautiful little pond. Owners were very kind and helpful. We had a really wonderful and relaxing time.

2 nights at Plantasia Homestead at Anglin Falls

I loved camping on Phil's land and would definitely recommend it to others. The tent platform was great, and we loved that there was spring water pumped directly to the campsite. The campsite and bathroom were both clean and well kept, and felt like a safe location. Phil was very welcoming and helpful to us when we arrived. My partner and I enjoyed seeing all the animals on the property, and loved watching the millions of fireflies light up the trees and meadow across from the campsite.

2 nights at Trace Space KY

Super happy to have found this sweet little spot ...even though it's in a residential area with neighbors around, there's a sense of privacy thanks to the fence that goes around part of the cabin site. I was never bothered by anyone in the area and was left to enjoy the site in peace. I'm a solo female traveler and felt very safe in the space. Recommended for single travelers or couples who want to get close and cozy. It's far enough from main roads that I wasn't bothered by traffic noise. For someone who usually primitive camps to save money on travel, the site is an incredible value with the included convenience of a protective roof over your head, a clean porta potty only several steps away, and parking right next to the site. Packing in and out has never gone so easily and quickly for me as it did here. And whenever you need something or have a question, MJ is so quick to respond and helpful in every way! Things to know before you go: Cell service is a little spotty at the site (I have TMobile). The cabin's wifi helps get your directions downloaded when you want to go places. You have to drive about 20 minutes for gas and ice, and about 30 minutes for restaurants as close as Morehead. If you go there, visit the Fuzzy Duck for coffee/tea and Coffee Tree Books, great local shops all in the same building. Lovely birds in the area and spectacular summer night lightning bug shows. The gooseberries in the garden were a special treat. I can't wait to book again!

Weekend Trip to Trace Space KY

We loved our stay at Trace Space! It truly is a unique place. The A-frame is spacious, comfortable, and really has everything you need. The whole site site is adorned with thoughtful personal touches and makes for magical stay. Theres the pollinator friendly garden, fire pit sitting area, handpainted picinc table, firefly light show, handcrafted artwork, starry night, and so much more. The A-frame frame opens up and and creates a nice little veranda feel. Mother nature decided to hit us with 90+ temps but it never felt like that there. It's a 5 star setup. The hosts were absolutely amazing. I let them know I was traveling with my daughter see the area and they went above and beyond. They knew all the spots and events going on. They made some special arrangements for her visit that made it truly memorable. She checked off a couple bucket list items! They were super helpful and absolutely wonderful. 10/10! There are so many things to do within an hour or less: Red River Gorge, Daniel Boone National Forest, Carter Caves, Natural Bridge, Cave Run... We didn't even scratch the surface. That said, I'd have been just as happy in the cabin reading or drawing the weekend away. So grateful to have found and be hosted by Trace Space. We'll be back for sure!

My wife and I stayed here with our pup in a rooftop tent on our truck. We had an unbelievable time and the land was incredible to stay on. Back by the deck there was plenty of shade, keeping it very cool and comfortable in 80°F+ temps. We were very much in the woods, so be sure to treat any dogs for ticks. There were 3 trails on the property that were fun to walk. I would suggest being prepared to walk around in the woods for a while if you plan to walk them. The markings were tough to follow and some of the trials felt more like a deer path than a trail. Overall, I would give it 5/5 as far as a fun place to stay!

1 night at Bar on the Mountain

It is a great site - especially if you have a group of people. It is a shame that some people leave there trash in the firepit instead of putting it in the provided garbage receptacles. A little tricky getting in there on a motorcycle as there is a rocky climb as you enter the property. an be done on an adventure motorcycle but not recommend for a low Harley.

2 nights at Serenity Camp

We had such a great camping experience. My son and I hammock camped while on a motorcycle road trip. We were able to stay in a newly built pavilion on top of a hill. It was so nice since a large storm rolled through during the first night. Because of it, we and our gear, were able to stay dry without any rain tarps. The property is very close to Natural Bridge SP and the RRG area. We had a really great time.

Jamie set up the perfect spot. There is a big pavilion to camp under and stay dry. The land is gorgeous. We were greeted by 5 friendly horses when we pulled up. If it rains during your visit, check out the massive waterfall just 2 minutes down the road from the campsite. Worth the visit

Nice spot to set up. It rained a decent amount while we were there and it was nice the space was up on a hill so it never got too soggy. Hosts were very nice and responsive to requests for things like firewood. It is close to the other camper sites they offer. Like a little village. You can’t tell for sure from photos. Would recommend

If it is set off, the police will automatically be called and come for a visit. We have it for long periods of time where our tiny house is unattended. We have multiple outdoor cameras that will be recording 24/7 during your stay. We only pull the video if a problem arises. Per our insurance-We love all dogs, but our insurance company says no to Akitas, American Staffordshire Terrier (Pit Bulls), Chows, Presa Canarios, Rottweilers, Shar-peis, Wolf Hybrid, Mixed with predominately with a listed breed) No exotic animals or any animals that display aggressive behavior. We allow ONE dog under 70 lbs. If you bring a dog- pick up the waste from yard.

The southern perimeter of the property is all cliff line, so you feel truly remote.
